We've been running the MX13s in 389's since 15. Fan clutch at around 275k and normal maintenance. We haven't had any issues with the engines. I hope you have the same good luck with them also.
I hv been running a Paccar in my 2018 kw since new. 210000 miles so far so good. A little under powered at times. So far so good no major issues at all
Glad to see and hear from ya , been wondering how ya been doing. This current world we’re living in is absolutely insane so to see your still trucking and buying new trucks even with the set backs you had is awesome. Best of luck and keep on truck’n 🤘🏼
I work at a kenworth dealership…..watch out on 22 Mx engine the injectors have an issue where they start over shooting diesel and they get in the oil pan and give the effect of water being in the oil pan and cause a major knocking noise,it mostly affects the main bearings and kills the fuel pump…keep an eye out for that
I’m in Tennessee I’m retired driver living the good life still in my mid 50’s doing what I want to do,I just get bored and my farm pretty much takes care of itself after April I could do some part time driving until October,1st of November when I really have to get busy with the farm…
Nice to see a video from you again Like how you called out the trolls ahead of time, you said it exactly! I think most people that comment have no idea anyways. Always same comments.. There junk get a Cat. LoL But to be serious, been running a Paccar last 5 years or so , second truck now. There great , good on fuel & run smooth. X15s are so noisy , actually prefer the Paccar. It will be good for you no doubt .
I’m thinking I want to put breather lights and and stainless blanks under the cab and sleeper. But chrome shops have been pretty hit and miss here lately so I’ll just have to see how things shake out
It's great you're making videos congratulations on your new truck I like your videos because you're not all down in the mouth just a damn good video thank you
I'm not a trucker, and I know nothing about big rigs, but I love the looks of most of them, especially these classic looking Peterbilt trucks. I'm amazed they still make them today. Of course, they may look like the classic Peterbilt, but I'm sure it has been modernized a lot, which I guess is a good thing? At least they kept the classic look. I'm so glad of that, because I want to see these trucks for years to come. I love the looks of any Peterbilt truck that even remotely looks like it. Some Kenworth trucks look good, too, but I don't know if they still make their trucks that look nice like the ones in the good old days? I realize that the two truck companies are owned by the same parent company, and I hope both are still good quality? I'm sure they are. I wouldn't mind owning one of these trucks (minus the trailer) just to use as a grocery getter, and an everyday vehicle to get around in. Of course, I know I would have to get a commercial drivers license first. The main reason I would want to drive a truck like this around for my own personal use is because I think it would be cool, and I would feel so much safer in a real truck (a gigantic truck). I've got to win the lottery first, though.
Pete, I live in Niagara falls Canada 40 years trucking ,and only 3 companies in that time I would work for you in a heartbeat!! Don't even know you personally but i know a smart owner being so long in this industry hire me ?
Hey Wondering Pete, appreciate the info you have in your videos. Good luck with the new trucks. I have a 2022 with the same dash. I will give you a heads up. With mine the clock in the digital dash doesn't keep time. Also I had an issue where the dash froze up. None of the gauges were working. I shut the truck off waited a couple of minutes after the dash shut down, restarted the truck and all was well. Lastly mine has developed a squeak went to the dealer and they said they found a loose panel and tightened it. That did not work. Hopefully these are problems you won't have to deal with. Overall. I have no issues with the whole digital dash thing. Would I prefer the old type ? Yes but, in the end they both do what's needed. Again thanks for taking the time to make these videos, a lot of good information.
The whole dash freezing up is a software update…i work at a kenworth dealer….take your truck to a paccar certified location and they’ll update your ecm software, only thing they might have trouble with is that they’ll need a special cable to to the update other than that it should take about 20 minutes to do the actual fix
@@garysmith2501 tried the socks, no change in the noises going to see if I can play around with it and find out what's loose / rubbing. Thanks for the tip
On a final update. It IS the hood making the noise. There are 3 blocks on each side of the hood. Bottom, middle and at the top under the windshield. The top blocks were making the noise. Covered them with a rag and noise gone. Hope this helps anyone who has the same issue.
I like my Paccar in my 2020. The after treatment has been in the shop 3 times in 3 years for minor bs. But I’m happy overall with everything about the motor.
