    Almost cried when that bezel went into the polishing wheel. Nothing worse than an engine turned bezel with zero edges. Great video though-keep them coming!!

    I'm completely new to watch repair and don't know anything about it yet. I retired this year and I think this could be a new hobby, I think it's fantastic how you show us this so well and without comment, being 100% concentrated and then this beautiful result.
    What I really like about you is that you included a complete tool list, great! I also immediately subscribed to your beautiful channel. Good luck in your future life and I hope to watch more videos from you. Greetings from the Netherlands.

      Thank you for watching ☺️ Hate or love the brand that's okay. The truth is: This watches are build like a tank and they last forever. For this brand you find parts 50 years later... that's not common for other brands.

      @@MagicWatchmaking I've heard quite a few vintage Rolex owners who've said that Rolex have refused to service their watches.

    • @MagicWatchmaking
      @MagicWatchmaking  Год назад

      @@garyboyle695 That’s correct. Rolex refuses service.

    • @ygrbooks
      @ygrbooks Год назад +1

      @@MagicWatchmaking If you watch the channel of the Horological Society of New York, particularly the video "Collecting Vintage Watches by Eric Wind", you hear of a restoration that Rolex did do on a rare Daytona, which totally devalued it at a price of €/CHF 15'000+ for their "services". So maybe we have to glad that they have stopped servicing them. On another level though, Rolex seems to be getting into the second hand market of their watches and offers services/certificates for them, so I do not really know what is what.

    The video "Restoration of Rolex Oyster Perpetual -Date-" by Magic Watchmaking is a fascinating journey into the restoration of a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date with the reference number 15053, produced in 1986. This Rolex watch has suffered multiple damages, including severe impact during an accident, and previous repair attempts were halted.
    The video likely showcases the meticulous process of restoring this vintage Rolex, addressing the damages, and bringing the watch back to its former glory. It's a testament to the craftsmanship and skill required for watch restoration.
    For watch enthusiasts and those interested in the art of watchmaking and restoration, this video offers valuable insights into the intricate work involved in reviving vintage timepieces.
    It's impressive to see watchmakers like Magic Watchmaking take on such challenging projects. If you appreciate fine craftsmanship and the restoration of high-end watches, this video is definitely worth watching.

    I would have treated This kind of timepiece with respect for time, letting the history of the watch, shine its magic, letting the next person to spend time in its Company, imagine what happened and perhaps adding to the history,for me this treatment is like closing a book, to be forever closed, the watch are now resting silently,in its shining cover…..
    Now waiting for a new story, to be told in the erased Pages of the past,but the Sharp edges, that suites the eyes so Well are forever gone
