While this shouldn't become Zelda reel, I do remain impressed at the player's ingenuity and capacity for faffing about, and Nintendo's engine able to keep up thus far.
not sure about the others, mine always start lagging when I build as simple as a cart... but I'm very early into the game so not sure will I burn the switch when I start building robot
Maybe the players are only submitting TOTK clips to Highlight Reel, and precious little else. I'm surprised there isn't more Gollum clips, but that's to be expected since nobody (in their right mind) wants to play a broken and ugly game.
For this and the last Zelda game, I don't know what's happening on screen about 70% of the time. But the ToTK clips have me really impressed with player ingenuity and the developers' ability to create something that works so well
I really hope they add loads of "Defend the Village" type encounters in the DLC where you have to set up all sorts of traps to stop hordes from invading. So many cool devices are trap like in nature and aren't really doing anything except as a novelty. Like you can build them but them they're done and you move on. Having to rig paths into the area, making sure they kill anything that tries to come that way, would be a great addition imo.
Oh my God 2:10. I am convinced this game was made with a special Looney Tunes physics engine, to ensure failures always happen with the best comedic timing.
I do really wonder who thought that Gollum would make a good playable character for a stealth platformer. Like even if the game wasn't broken you're just left with a high fantasy stealth game except the main character can't defend himself and doesn't have any special abilities. Where is the potential for fun gameplay in that? Kinda feel like they should have gone with a more interactive movie style of game like what Telltale puts out.
Wow, some of the things people have come up with in TotK just really amaze me...like that bat catcher. Really shows how much freedom the developers put into the game.
14:25 this went from hilarious to amazing, because it held together AND i wasnt expecting the realistic creaking of the wood under the strain. none of these cobbled constructs in these clips have had a specific sound like that. just the engines/rockets/etc. from the tools used. the minor details in this game are indeed ridiculous.
People always get mad about it though & yet people always attempt that whataboutism. I mostly don't mind in this case since the TOTK clips are great & are what got me interested in the game but I did start to zone out near the end due to the sheer repetition of seeing so many clips of the same game & mostly the same feature of the game. But then I do have ADHD & tourette's.
I'm really not trying to be a hater here, I'm glad yall are digging TOTK soo much. Speaking solely for myself, I really look forward to the show returning to gaming highlights and not just Link building stuff.
@@HighlightReel and this is such a "funny" answer, if you ask me (and you are) my preference is not seeing just zelda reels every friday for three-four weeks, that there are going to be some zelda reels, sure thats normal but this is basically a highlight zelda reel and imo after two weeks the rest are not that different, but you do you, have a nice weekend
@@charlier409 Whenever there is a largely popular new release, it's expected to see constant clips of them. TotK is practically made for this because of what you can do in it, and is packed with content.
@@HighlightReel But I bet Zelda isn't the only content people send you. You could cap it at 40% or 50% and you'd probably still have enough zelda content for half a year. Especially when this episode is 18 Minutes long. With 50% Zelda, it still be a typical, full episode of Highlight Reel only for Zelda. Don't get me wrong, I totally love this format, but I love it for the variety of games.
@@cenciende9401 As someone who has ADHD, I can't imagine what your logic is because having ADHD makes it a lot easier to not get annoyed by repetition since you're more likely to space out due to the repetition & therefore not notice it at the time. That's what happened to me. I was enjoying them but then I spaced out at some point & eventually thought "Wait. Has nearly the entire video been Tears of the Kingdom?" It's when my ADHD is inactive & I'm fully focused that repetition starts to get really annoying. That's why toddlers can watch a cartoon that reuses plotlines, animations, & dialogue in every episode for 4 years without getting bored. it was BotW reel back in 2017, I don't see why it shouldn't be TotK reel for a short while right now.

@@leesasuki I think some of the more crazier ones could be on emulators.
The variety of vehicle types people are creating in TotK is astounding!
Every time they discover a new trick it ups the game. Like you can use the stoves as shocks (or as other things, in the case of this video lol)
He actually put the makeshift gun into the video, the madman.

Eighteen minutes! What have I done to deserve this king's ransom of clips?
you liked, subscribed, and left a comment....and for that I thank you
Those vertical lines will haunt me for the rest of my days I swear
damn this episode is long as hell, please enjoy gamers
Thank you
Will we get highlight reel episodes soon? Zelda-Reel is getting boring after 3 weeks :/
We enjoy always, thank you for your work dude
@@YamiSuzume yeah we are getting some other stuff soon
@@HighlightReel Really lookin forward!
Imagine being grabbed by a giant machine and forcibly drowned in the sea. TotK creating war criminals
It felt like some animal planet shit. I was appalled at and impressed by the ruthless efficiency.

Don't play many games do you? There's a lot of potential in the idea, but they missed the mark by a kilometre
"While this shouldn't become Zelda reel", well said and agree. love the videos ! best part about Friday.
My oh my, im on a medical leave because of flu, and this weeks Highlight reel made me feel better
God that Ring the Bell clip made me spit out of my food and I saw that coming too!
I'm at a loss for words with how creative people are in ToTK
Gollum, Zelda, Redfall... how can there be so much quality difference between recent games
Wow, some of the things people have come up with in TotK just really amaze me...like that bat catcher. Really shows how much freedom the developers put into the game.
The fireworks and the airshow clips are unreal

I didn't even think about the wood creaking. That's really cool.
Love that you used the last clip to shit on redfall one last time 😂
really good collection thanks man :)
10:35 I found out this trick yesterday. Float stones are the best.
I love float stones and arrows a lot.
there is in fact a sign puzzle somewhere where this is the intended solution (they leave float stones around)
14:25
Bro, I've had this exact nightmare before.
Great video, thanks for including my clip! :)
How long till they create a fully functional Thundercat tank on totk? 🤔
0:00 I have never heard you sounding so disappointed before, holy shit.
Can someone explain the hoverboard and log clip around 3 min?
The "Is This Loss?" meme
This video had Gollum in the title, but it should have been Link\Zelda lol

3:00 Is this...the opposite of gain? 😵
Seeing this "age test in a meme form" in 2023 is outright trippy 😂
Highlight Reel without 90% TOTK Challenge [[IMPOSSIBLE]]
3:43 are you telling me they used the (Nintendo) Ultra Hand to make an in-game (Nintendo) Pitching Machine?
THE FORMER PRIME MINISTER JOKE WTFFFFF
When youre the pm and get hit by the doohickey
That is awful a lot of Links committing war crime.
9:25 Link just cured erectile dysfunction... a little too well.
idk how anyone can say this is too much zelda. the unicycle clip sent me.
Amazing intro haha
16:36 Arin and his jokes
Ye golum have problems , alcohol and drugs are not the solution XD
Okay enough with the zelda please. Its a good game but 3 weeks in a row?
10:11 I knew that Gene Park was a bad influence 😂😂😂
Oh, I see...
What was the "former prime minsters" joke about - the assassination of Shinzo Abe last July with a homemade gun? Kinda bad taste, no?
16 mins of zelda is a bit much
this is some good sh-stuff

Meh anything else besides Zelda ?

this is such a funny comment man. its the biggest game of the year. what did you expect.
