I lived in Detroit for 4+ years. Up until the pandemic. I'm a Bears fan and caught a couple of games at Ford Field. It's a very nice game day experience.

I went to the first preseason game there. They hadn't balanced the air conditioning out and a constant 64° breeze was blowing over me. It was August and I rember it as one of the coldest days I've ever had. Absolutely lowered the core body temperature.
That was the most entertaining nfl action I’ve seen in years. Dudes actually being about something, making plays, and no bs replay (the call on the field is the call)
There was reply/ challenges during the 2002 season. Maybe I miss understood your comment, but challenging was definitely around during this time... but there was definitely some missed calls I seen while watching

I thought he played better than a lot of the team around him. It always seemed like he was under heavy pressure, I don't know that any qb would have done well in his circumstance.
I am not usually the guy thats like 'football was so much better back then' but one thing I do miss is when a defensive player creates a turnover he just celebrates for a second.....then goes to the side line. Now, a play is made the entire defense comes on the field...goes to the endzone... and does a choreographed dance for an hour and a half. The celebrating was more wholesome back then.
Harrington was one of the most underrated NFL QBs in recent memory. Great mechanics and talent, just never have alot of help around him. Easily one of the Top 5 college QBs of all time.
I was 16 when this game aired. A few years later when I was a senior in High School we had a substitue in economics class for half of the semester, Mrs. Bentley I believe her name was. I'll never forget her telling us that she went out on a date with Joey Harrington and that while she said he was a nice guy he just wasn't her type😂 Joey wasn't getting any love back then 😅
Back in 2002, 2 historic franchises meet in a brand new football stadium. Both Packers and Lions with 1 excellent looking helmet and 2 excellent lookings uniforms each, the ideal way football was meant to be played. No more, no less. I sure do love those high quality standards 👍🏻; they've gradually been phased out mostly undetected here in the 21st century 😞

Oh yes, Favre to Driver was like the Junior version of Manning to Harrison. I remember those days. Was I a Packers fan to compensate for the fact that the Lions sucked? Maybe. But don’t pretend you didn’t have a second and even third favorite team you rooted for too. Go Lions. 12-1
This era was definitely a low point for Detroit. Mortinwieg can't coach, and Harrington has to put everything he has just to throw the ball 40 yards down the field. I'm so glad the Lions had the guts to higher Dan Campbell rather than some of these retread coaches.

Terry Glenn played for the Patriots and The Cowboys. Had no idea he was also a Packer until today
