I got about 20 days on the proto slinger last season with the same atlas bindings. TJ is spot on as usual. I bought it for park progression but had an injury early on that made me rethink my goals for the sport. I rode this board very hard through the rest of the season in just about every terrain available and it really was impressive. Is there better for any specific type of riding, I'm sure, but it was just so much fun anywhere I took it and I didn't need to take any other boards with me. The board can lay over a carve and you can lick the snow if you want, or lean back and wheelie the entire downhill. Mogul fields are a blast but you'll feel a bit more of the late afternoon chop where a stiffer board would be better, but by that time my legs are gone anyways. I'll be starting this season on this board again and then will try out the 22 proto ultra limited and 19 swift I picked up during the summer. Here's to an awesome season everyone 🍺🤙
Hey. I never was too into park features but wanted to give it a round and it cost me a lot. I think my interest in park died there along with my left shoulder.
I have this board grabbed it at the end of the season so my first time riding it will be at big snow America in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the break down it’s exactly what I wanted out of the board
Hi, Great review. I like watching your channel :) For buttering and all mountain do you recommend this board or maybe Bataleon Wallie will be better? I'm confused which one to buy :)
Hey TJ! Nice review and it's always great to watch you riding :) BTW. I bought a funslinger a few years ago after watching your review :) Are there any significant changes in comparison to Funslinger 2017? Thanks!
Hey TJ, met you last year on Flyer and chatted about the new Atlas. How would you compare this board to the Proto Type 2? I have been riding that board for sometime and everytime I try something else (Proto Ultra, Mercury etc), I keep coming back to it. I think it's the most versatile board they made and wish they kept it in the line.
I have the PT2 and the Proto Slinger. PS is noticeably softer and more flexible, but still has the familiar Never Summer reliability and construction. 100% agree the PT2 board is their most versatile board. The Proto Synthesis is the evolution of the PT2, but when I demoed it last year it was slightly stiffer than the PT2 and, to me, took some time to find enjoyable. All that being said, you can’t go wrong with the Proto Slinger if you’re looking for a soft or park-centered board.
Hi TJ, thanks an awful lot for the vid, it’s dope! Look, I’m also 5’10 and weight around 170 lbs - do you reckon I should go for 149 or 153? I’m getting this deck to start freestyling
Seems like a real fun board! I love it that you always keep the same tune for the board reviews. It makes them feel familiar and cosy even though it's a different board every time, if you know what I mean (sure it's a timesaver as well)
Everything listed in this board is in pretty much every other board. Different companies just give them different names. Neversummers are heavy but durable boards
i tried a bunch of boards today, and this one was far and away the lightest feeling one of the bunch. dunno if it actually IS lighter than others like it, but it FELT a lot lighter.
I ordered this board and opened it yesterday and my base doesn’t look like advertised either! I watched this video to see if his base looked normal. My base is white and blue, with the word “Never” in blue on a white base, and the word “Summer” in black on a blue base!
can we get a chill edit of tj riding park to some lofi hip hop? i could honestly watch it all day!
How about some sort fast and loud guitars and drums?
@@chuck__van Unfortunately snowboarders tend to be wiggas
Good review.
TJ’s style is really smooth.
I feel simultaneously at peace and pumped while watching him ride.
Dude has such killer style

Still working on your park progression or no?

@@z06zn6 do you wear armored body now ?
But union atlas is stiff bindings. They shouldnt be used with soft board...
Yoooooooooo TJ I bought the 22 Proto Slinger for park after watching your videos! Looking forward to this season!
Hopefully you guys review the Easy Rider from Neversummer. Just got one it's an awesome board
Nice review, TJ! Been waiting for a proper impression of this board. Much appreciated 🙏🏻
How does this compare to the old funslinger. That’s been my fav board for a long time now
Great review, TJ. This board looks pretty sick with great features.

Check out his review for the 2021 deck. He talks about everything new and the differences between the Protoslinger deck and the funslinger deck.
Great review.
I really want this board
its on discount now
Looks like that snow still sticks to the board. Am I right?
This or the Rome Agent? thank you

Graphic looks cool but what with the NS topsheet? Reminds me of cheap rental boards at the resort.
Hi TJ, wondering neversummer proto slinger or Bataleon whatever which one you will recommend for intermediate rider? Since you review both of them.
Proto slinger is cooler. It's -30% discount on official website now
Yeew

@@emilianpopov9699 Hi Emilian, you're on point there! TJ's work is way underrated. The Proto and Funslinger are super fun boards.

why does your board have a red base ? The 2023 Prot Slinger should have a black/white base.

They switch them sometimes. Was the case in previous years too.
Looks a bit like a bread knife haha
