    My guide on Moon Water, what it is, how it is made and how you can use it in meditation, cleansing, spell work and ceremony. It's a wonderful tool for magickal practice that a lot of people pass on, but it can be a very useful tool for working with the moon phases in other areas of your life and can contribute to other forms of magick, such as kitchen witchcraft, water magick, spiritual cleansings and more.

    I have sacred full moon water collected from a rare thunderstorm during Yule on a full moon. It’s the most charged liquid I’ve ever touched. I don’t drink it because it is older, but I will use for annointing

      That’s so cool! I have some from a powerful storm on Samhain that I collected, when it was also a full moon. It’s old so I can only use it in certain ways but it’s REALLY amazing to add to a bowl of water for divination, especially if doing so to connect with my ancestors.

      I collected some on October 31st of 2020, which was the second full moon that month. And also some from an intense lightning storm during a full moon. My most powerful that I only use for special ritual.

    I just made my first batch of moon water this past pink moon. I had one clear bottle, and one that I infused rosemary, thyme, Jasmine oil, and this little rock I found by the ocean that I feel very connected with. I put it into a little spray bottle and cleans my home with it. I love your videos ❤️ you've really taught me so much, as a beginner witch I love that you thoroughly explain everything.

    "There be bits in that." Once I stopped laughing, I heartily seconded that statement. I usually don't use tap water even though I have a multi-stage filter system; I collect rain/stormwater in 2-3 large jars that I've run through the dishwasher repeatedly (pickle jars, actually!), then pour it all slowly into a single jar through a paper filter (typical coffeemaker type). I also store it in the fridge... which is how I recently discovered it freezes anything that gets pushed all the way to the back. >:-( I've only used the water sparingly so far, for a small number of cleansings. I'll usually keep it for up to 3 months (4 if I've accidentally frozen it) and when it's gotten old I make an informal ritual of feeding it to my houseplants.

    here in the philippines white witch(albularyo) used the 1st rain only on the month of may. but in early christian called it as "agua de mayo") used as a holy water. the albularyo(white witch) also put that agua de mayo in the shadow of the full moon only. but the most powerful here in the philippines is the for blood moon water.

    I use rain water for my moon water. I collect in in glass and quite a bit at a time. I make sure I don’t let it sit out side longer then need be, so, debris and bugs don’t get into it. I collect it once a year and it doesn’t mold or go bad. In the past I’ve use bottle spring water and it did go bad. Make u think why water would go bad. since I’ve used rain water I’ve never had a problem with it going bad. However, You need to make sure the glass u collect it in is as clean as possible and nothing gets in it. Be picker about the water you use for long term us.

    You can also boil you moon water after infusing it with the energy (i use a pot rather than a kettle, because it's more isolated, if you do use a kettle clean it before and after). The energy stays in the water, and if it's been boiled it stays good for longer!

    I've been practicing for about 4 years now and i've just made my first jar of moon water. Something about the full moon being this close to mid winter, and we just had a fresh snow. It was just too perfect. I actually used the fresh snow as my water, so not only does it have extra meaning for me personally, but it's a really small amount that should be easy enough to use for blessings and anointings, etc.

    Just a tip for everyone, but if you leave an uncovered container of tap water on the counter or in the refrigerator (probably better on the counter) for about an hour or two, the chlorine used to treat it will evaporate. As for the fluoride evaporating, I don't know if it does (By the way, California doesn't fluoridate their tap water, so if you live there, you don't have to worry about that.). Anyway, tap water is, technically, fresh water (with the exception that it has been chemically treated to make it safer to drink), so you CAN use it to make Moon water, provided that you prepare it first. And, if stored properly, it will also have the bonus of not going "bad" (Water doesn't go bad, but like you stated in your video, nasty stuff can start growing in it.). I figured that you might appreciate this because it cuts the cost of making Moon water down SIGNIFICANTLY. As for where all this information comes from, let's just say that I have friends in high places and leave it at that, okay? ;)

    • @nairbvel
      @nairbvel 4 года назад +1

      Good point! (I'd go with 2 hours to be sure.) Unfortunately for anyone making moon water, the fastest & easiest way to get rid of chlorine is... exposure to sunlight.

    • @DarkArachnid666
      @DarkArachnid666 4 года назад

      @@nairbvel One hour on the countertop isn't very long (That's the time it takes to watch 1-2 television shows, to put it in perspective.) and, provided that you're paying attention to where you put it, it won't be in the sunlight. And, don't forget that the fridge is also an option. As a bonus, if you decide that you are getting thirsty from the hard work of casting spells, it will taste a LOT better than if you had just drank it straight from the tap (I can't STAND the taste of chlorine!!!). Of course, drinking your Moon water would probably defeat the purpose of making it in the first place. But, yes, I'm sure that sticking it outside in the sunlight would make the chlorine evaporate quicker. ;)

    I use moon water as an offering to the gods/goddesses I work with. I leave it in a black cast iron bowl surrounded by amethyst chips, three lavender bundles in the earth element symbol and on a silver plate I found on the side of the road. When I make dark moon water I leave it for dark goddesses like Hecate. I work with Aries, Poseidon, Thor, Hecate, Freya.

    For those city people like me that tap water is the most viable do yourself a favor order a Brita filter pitcher and then use THAT water for your moon water or water magick in general.
    Also most city folks people have iron fire escapes on older buildings like I do. Pop open your window, put a small board or plate on it and put your glass bottle, crystals, etc on that.
    Lastly I use a 100% glass bottle with glass stopper, my water has been in there for years on my altar. Point being if you use filtered, spring water and put it in a air tight vessel you generally don't have to worry about algae or other 'growth'.
    Just a few hot tips, keep up the great work!

I like using it to draw invisible sigils (great for witches still in the broom closet), a splash in my tea, cleansing certain crystals, I’ll cleanse certain candles with it depending on what spell I’m using them for, and put some in a glass on my ancestral altar. If I’m charging an item with the 4 elements, I’ll use the moon water for this as well.

    On the last new moon we had the most terrific storm, thunder and lightening, it went on hours, I collected a fair bit of rain water during this, I'd love some tips on what to do with it before it goes off! Xxx

    I feel shaving some selenite into the water as it dissolves will help to increase the energy. As selenite relates to the moon

    You mentioned using crystals with your moon water I like to charge my moon water with aquamarine and use it as a facial cleanser to promote a youthful glow

    I know its not completely on topic right now, but because you've been a favorite teacher on RUclips, ive got a quick question, when do you know when to grind an herb for a spell?

    I know that this is WAY late, but I wanted to say that I leave my window open and the mason jar lid off (the window has a screen) and I've poured it on my head after marking myself with it. So you and I have very similar usages for the water. EXCEPT I keep it in the window while the sun is out and take it away a couple of days after so the full moon will fully charge the water.
