I am a big fan of reate and even more seeing they took feedback and made it happen. It also looks like they're keeping the same prices more or less for the new version too so that's definitely appreciated.
Very excited about the new design. Love my bronze, CF inlay with the Tanto blade. I imagine all three blade types will make it to my collection.

Hopefully they do it with the full-size 3.75" version. Sub 3" is legal more places, but ideally I'd rather have more blade.

I much preferred the size the steel of the older version. I had my own design for a lock and pocket clip that I still prefer to Reate's implementation. I don't think this will be replacing the one I have, but it's nice that they're listening to feedback.

The updates make it even better for some who want to just carry it in pocket and it appears to be a solid knife overall just dumb that they didn't put a flathead screw in the clip though. And im sure it will be the cause of many arguments with how fidgety it still is lol. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.

I just went to the two website you have in your info paragraphs. Both sites are OUT OF STOCK on all the gravity knives. The second site does have the locking gravity knife but it too is sold out.
The price for the locking gravity knife is $285.

Got mine in black micarta and it’s nice. I really like it for what it is!! Got it in the pocket today. Single edge in drop point. The big screw head in the way of the pocket clip sucks though!!

I really was never interested in adding a gravity knife to my collection until I've seen your videos. I have seen them and picked them up at Blade Show before, but I never came across one that is this nice. Isn't there one with an Elmax steel blade also? 3V is great steel, I've just been a fan of Elmax since it came out. Thanks for posting these videos. These are awesome knives!! Now I know there is a top of the line gravity knife to add to my collection. 👍

Super cool, I'm really glad Reate took notice and listened to the community feedback. Hell, I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is probably the sturdiest/most fail proof knife that isn't a fixed blade. Any folder can have pivot failure, even with a strong lock design, but with the Exo, the design in itself is fail proof because even in an impossible scenario the blade broke from the channel, than it would still just fall back into the closed position. Also adding the M-lock to the design, on top of hand pressure keeping the thing shut when the blade is opened and exposed, makes this thing practically a somewhat fail proof design. Super cool either way; would love to see a break down video Jared to see what the internals of the lock are. Anyways thanks for the video as usual amigo💪
And it's very unlikely to fail because it's pushing on flat titanium so there's no stress on the lock literally none
Who do we contact about the screw for the pocket clip?
Definitely up there, but nothing will ever beat a balisong on fail proof lockup, in my opinion. I'm not sure how it's possible, actually, without letting the knife go.

It’s still almost 8in, it doesn’t feel mini at all in the hand. It’s like on the higher end of medium. Just on the verge of being large

The Exo-M looks great. And will try to pick one up for sure. Kinda glad I hold off on the first one. Also glad they went with 3V steel as that will likely cause fewer POTENTIAL issues in the future, Slamming the blade up and down the track.
Functionality wise the elementum button lock is faster and more reliable if you know how to use it properly in my opinion making it my personal favorite gravity knife.

I like the fact that they added the clip and lock, as I never carried my original EXO but these improvements make it EDC-able. I just wish they hadn't shortened it that much. Whats the blade length?

They're very easy to carry tip up..... and that's even the better way to get it from your pocket and open it...I have a video of it

They are 285. Same as the non carbon fiber originals. The carbon are 310
Wow I gotta scoop this up; I do hope it comes in anything besides burlap micarta tho, the one I have now is burlap micarta lol, it’s my least favorite of the bunch , but that was the only option at the time, and this was a grail knife for me lol so I choked down that burlap 😅
I'm sure it will have all different kinds of options eventually

Hello, I know this is a complete longshot, but I’ve been looking for the original EXO for over a year now. I love the design without the lock and I wanted the knife from the moment I laid my eyes on it. I’m not the biggest knife enthusiast , but when I first saw it I had have to have it. So I was wondering if there’s any chance I could purchase the older model you have or any of the older ones you have (especially Tonto bladed). As you’re probably aware they’re sold out pretty much everywhere and I don’t know if I will ever get a chance to get my hands on one so even if this is the longest of shots, I figured I’d reach out to all the possible options and see if there was any possible way, I could potentially purchase one off of you

They definitely should’ve recessed the pocket clip screw, it’s frustrating that Protech is seemingly the only company that knows how to do this but regardless the lock and clip are much needed improvements to this design so I’m happy and I can’t wait to get mine in
they know for future models that have not been finished yet and are making the changes

I'd really like to have one of those upgraded versions, but at the price they sell for, I probably won't be able to afford one. 😔 If I could, they'd have to fix that screw blocking the full deep carry. That just seems like an oversight. 🤷🏼♂️

Cranes cutlery has some right now 3/4/23. I ordered one, I’m sure the screw will be janky but what can ya do hopefully I can find a flatter screw that will be closer to flush

I'm not a big fan of "gravity" knife but they looks good, maybe too cheap (looks weak and the steel is thight) for my taste but beyond that it look pretty.
I prefer tanto shape for my part for those type of knife, better penetration and more easy with them to open cans.

No it's very easy to lock it immediately after deployment, I guess in the reverse grip it would help, maybe it's something he can think about

If someone offered me a free gravity knife of my choice, I would probably take a Gravitron, but this is the way to go if you're paying for it out of pocket. :)
That proud clip screw is a major oversight. Much cheaper knives get that right with a flush screw.

Is there blade play when locked?
Like an otf automatic yes, but it doesn't matter it's impossible to fail because the lock when engaged has zero stress from any pressure on blade
Manual safety so you can pocket carry it without a sleeve.
