I had a wonderful time just being out with JJ, Martin, and their son Austin in the forest. I am also excited to see these parasitic plants already out. Early Pine Mushroom again? That would be too crazy! 😅
Nice Brother , and a Sprink King find as well , great bonus, always great info. We were just talking about this👍 Always great when you can share info and tips with everyone. Thanks for sharing the good stuff.👊🍄
@@mushroomsforagingadventures cool I'm gonna check a couple of mine. Do you think they would be in season up here on Vancouver Island ? When to the parasites pop and for how long do they exist...and is it possible to see old rotten remnants in the winter?
@westcoast8562 You can differently see old ones from last year with the new ones. In fact, there was an old one from last year in the video. It's black like a match stick next to the new ones. As for when the pine mushroom will fruit after they grow, I'm still uncertain.
@@mushroomsforagingadventures nice amount of moisture so far this year. If the trend keeps up I wouldn't be surprised if this year we get summer lobsters and Chanterelles.... Gotta think the pines will suffer from last years "over bearing"....interestingly if you don't thin the fruit on a fruit tree it can develop too many fruiting bodies which then suck all the stored energy out of the tree resulting in poor to zero fruiting bodies the following year...the myceliums act alot like underground fruit trees. Yum

Nice of you to share. Are there always these indicator plants in your pine patches or just some of them.
