- Sungold released the Galaxy Warriors again in the 90's with a few changes. Then, because this is the Galaxy hole, there was another release of these figures and possibly a couple bootleg lines.

The research you do for those videos is remarkable !
the long arms used slightly less plastic to mold, so over time, you can make more figures, from the "saved" plastic... also less rounded bumps means they de_mold easier/ faster, easier to paint the gauntlets...
Man, someone should really make a Galaxy Hole timeline/tree, with all the other knock-offs organized.

I think the youtube algorythm hates Phelous. I've been re-watching the bootleg zones, both old and new, and literally 100% of the time the "up next" video that youtube recommended would be from some other channel, NEVER another phelous video.
How on earth can anyone keep track of all these once you open them?

Daamn! I now know for sure, I had these versions. I thought I had Galaxy Warriors, but let's be honest, not many such toys trickled into Hungary before 1990 during the communist era. I now remember the packaging, plus the sometimes stickered shields. :) Me and my sister had Thor and Spikes - or rather she had Thor and I had Spikes. Poor Thor's nose very quickly became red as the paint rubbed off, so he not only had a chicken helmet, but a clown nose. I loved Spikes though with the whole empty black helmet. I own both toys to this day. :) Thanks for this blast from the past, Phelous!

The amount of research you do is so insanely commendable. Especially since these are just horrible dollar store toys.
If the Freedom Fighters wants this to be more 90s, it should have been called Xtreme feeding Fighters and have lots of belts, buckles, and exaggerated body parts.

At this point you do have to wonder if all these figures were being made by sun gold though various sub-companies to hit every single possible market while giving the impression they were different entities.

Hmm, green wolfman you say? Funny thing - around the same time these were released, Slayers the anime was running, and it had a minor recurring villain called Dilgear who was a green wolf-man.
I just remembered there was a green wolfman somewhere else. Altered Beast game. The second player metamorphosis for the first level is green werewolf. I wonder if it had any inspiration to this. But it does at least explain why I like the idea because I have nostalgia for that game.

Honestly I'm starting to feel like the Galaxy Hole's "variants" is less "changing things up now and then on the production line" and more "the production line was a bunch of Filipino boys chained to a conveyor belt assembling Galaxy Warriors by hand from a constant stream of random spare parts".
The second Freedom Fighters logo kind of looks like one of the Logos for Streetfighter 2.
Phelous. I got bad news. Those spots in your figures are actual mold. This is due to impurities in the process of making the plastic. Eventually this mold will cause the plastic to break down and fall apart. I'm sorry Phelous. You and your dear action figures just enjoy the time you have left together. I am so very sorry. TTnTT

Wow, even Simba is part of the Galaxy Hole! Its kinda fitting actually given that Simba gave Bootleg Zones the wonderful Steffi Love! Makes me wonder if there were any Galaxy Hole lines with female characters (that way we might have an idea of what would have happened if Steffi Love got her own Galaxy Hole figure or equivalent!

I used to have an Anubis and Baltar. I have no idea what happened to them! Maybe they fell into the galaxy hole.

Want to know the cool thing? If someone had more time on their hands and a 3d printer, they could probably print any of these figures now and make them at home! Probably even better than the official content.

God, I love the Galaxy Hole. The Bootleg Zone is one of my favorite shows, and the Galaxy Hole is my favorite part of it.

2:01 My theory is that maybe SunGold was treading thin legal ice in certain regions with their bootleg bs, and opted to not associate themselves with the Freedom Fighters in places like Mexico/Spain, hence your carded Anuby having Spanish on it, and no SG logo.

Wow......they got A LOT.....of use out of this mold......like the base body mold, just paint a bunch of them differently, slap a different head (usually a head sculpt they've already used to rip off something else,) on it and BAM!!!!! it can be a rip off of just about anything.......

The speckling on the sword and harness might be rubber/plastic rot. Fairly common amongst old toys.

Between these, Gargoyle Guardians and Dingo's "Countryside Bears," it's interesting to see what bootleg creators are willing to bet on and try to beat to market.
Something I've noticed with the Freedom Fighters cover with Magnon and Sahak, I think Huk and Ygg are also on there too if you look close enough.
