LOVE your content!!! Veteran music teacher of 28 years here and I've begun to minimize my rule "talking" and make it about rule practicing and modeling. Yes - we have a super cool music rules rap and briefly discuss the "need to knows' but I want the first time they experience music to be about music-making and less about the hardcore do's and don't's. We review basic procedures and expectations and then get to the music fun and games. The next class I have them, I do a brief review and then get to more of the expectations and procedures modeling. I changed it up about 5 years ago and iso far it's working for me. Keep making music!!
