I also just started at a new school this past year after being at my previous school for 6 years too!!! It was tough in the beginning for sure, but I felt good about the change by the end of the year :)
Excited to be switching from teaching 5th Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies to K-5 General Music in a new district much closer to home next school year. Thanks for the tips!
I totally agree! I made the leap to a new school after 11 years! It was very difficult in many ways, like what you said, but overall it was amazing and so much better! You don't realize how bad things are until you leave. Great video!
I'm starting teaching k-12 vocal music in August. I have a music background and not teaching. (Working on getting my alternative license) I'm super nervous and excited about starting. I appreciate channels like these so I can get more perspective
Well Becca, The one good thing about you is your endurance. You are there to the end with the students and no matter what happens during the year the students come out loving you regardless of the good times or those bad times. School is school and you cannot spell the word school without the letter S for struggle regardless if you are the teacher or the student. Get it? lol. Anyhow, Congratulations on another successful school year and remember to give your voice a little TLC and give Ms. Davis a rest and be Becca Davis for a bit this summer before Becca Davis goes solo.
