  • The Montreal Canadiens road to the 2021 NHL Stanley Cup Final was a cinderella story that will be remembered for a long time. From the last seed to being one of the final two in the playoffs, Montreal proved doubter after doubter wrong and found incredible success shutting down opposing teams' star forwards. The team was lead by a brick wall in Carey Price, young rising stars Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, Philip Danault frustrating some of the the best players in the NHL, along with stout defense and veteran leadership.

You did a fantastic job on hitting alot of the key aspects of thee playoffs. The doubt, the reffing, the tenacity, and integrity, the belief the team had in each other when everyone else blew them off.
I would have loved to see them lift the cup even though they are not my team, but it just wasn't meant to be. You can say this though, they played their hearts out, alot of them playing through rough injuries, and alot of pain, but they stuck it out and showed massive courgeous throughout the entire playoffs and nobody can take that away from them.
Thanks for doing this video, you did an outstanding job at showcasing a team that has an incredible future ahead of them.

A fan from Germany. Fan of Montreal since i played my first PC Game NHL 94, starting with the matchup of MTL-LAK. Bellows-Muller-Damphousse-Brisebois-Ramage and Roy. Never stopped cheering for this team. Loved the Koivu era. Theodore. The Halak or Price question. Thought I'd go crazy when they defeated the Pens and the Caps. Markov, Plekanec. Now Suzuki and Caufield. So sad for Price. So sad for the city. But see what the Leafs Fanbase has to go through. Montreal breathed Stanley Cup Finals air.
Love Montreal for being the underdog most of the time while still achieving miracle runs. Again, the future looks bright. Guess I'll buy my first Habs Jersey from far away for my 36th Birthday. Suzuki, I guess...

this team was elite. I remember the moment of the lehkonen goal. it was beautiful. hopefully in the next couple years we can relive this and get the same feeling. But price was something else, and the caufield and suz duo was born here. that Perry line aswell was pure grit.

That series win against Vegas after the gong show officiating in game 4 was so sweet. Been a habs fan my whole life and wasn’t really old enough to appreciate 93’. That ‘21 team will always have a special place for me.

Wow, so many emotions though out this video. Getting to re live the run being a habs fan from Montreal myself, this was by far the best playoffs ive ever watched. I was there for every game, on the edge of my seat. Now in 2022, Suzuki is captain and he and Caufield are carying the hope to once again see a similar playoff series. Adding Arber, Dach and many more players to the roster!

Rewatching this is bittersweet. I love the run, and it was the happiest I had been as a Habs fan since 95 when I became a fan (unfortunately I was too young to appreciate 93), but can't help but sad for the team that we were so close and didn't win it all.

As a Lightning fan, I have all the respect in the world for what the Canadiens accomplished that spring. They proved EVERYONE wrong and showed all of us what they were truly made of.
They unfortunately just ran into a machine that wasn't going to lose and were going to go above and beyond to avenge what happened in 2019. The Habs were just in the wrong place at the wrong time against the very wrong team.
But hold your heads high, Habs fans. I know recent times have been very tough, but you went to the Cup Final in your recent history, and most don't get there. Props 🇨🇦

I think Canadians - at least those who would consider cheering for Montreal - really needed that event in 2021 while we were still in the toughest days on the pandemic and lockdowns. Montreal is my second team - my entire immediate family's second team - and we made an event out of watching each game and got invested to the point that the neighbours could have heard us screaming at the tv, haha. I even once rode my bike to my parents' house in my jersey and someone I passed along the way, in suburban Ottawa, said "Go Habs Go." It really was a bright light at the perfect time.
