EAT bonus tip: any hellpod can destroy nests&fabricators if called close enough

Bonus bonus tip: you can throw stratagems through the walls of a fabricator by standing next to them and looking down a little

  • @loganrogers9157
    @loganrogers9157 16 дней назад +9

Fun fact, you can kill 3 chargers with an eat drop. Toss the stratagem at a charger (at some distance to give the stratagem time to slow down and not bounce off its armor), wait for it to drop, killing the charger, then use the remaining 2 EAT's to kill the remaining 2. Bonus points for timing the EAT landing on the charger as close to you as possible, thereby making the charger a doordasher

One EATs drop can kill 3 chargers. Stick the first, headshot the other two, ez. Have a buddy run EATs too and it's ggs

If you wait for the drop ships to drop the bots, then shoot it down, have it crash on the bots it dropped, it does damage. They suffer some collision damage and explosion damage. Ive had a lot more luck destroying them that way than shooting them down first.

idk if this is up to date anymore, it should be; you can two-shot bile titans with the EAT but only if you A) hit it at the top of the head, aim for the brain basically, B) don't shoot while it's spewing. it apparently takes a bit less damage while it's spewing, causing it to not be a two-shot anymore. also, if you're waiting for it to stop spewing, be careful not to shoot while its head is still tilted up. as the back armor has a lil flap that sticks out across the neck a bit and when the bile titan tilts its head, the top of the head is burrowed underneath said flap. protecting it.
i would imagine that two shots to the head, if it doesn't kill the titan, puts it at low enough health for them to die if you burst the sacks across its belly. grenade pistol secondary can take out the sacks but it's hard to hit and can take a while. eruptor might be better. impacts could work too. generally you need explosive damage for sack-body parts and that should apply to the titan as well i think.

I've noticed lately that tossing an impact at the back side of the titan tail can easily pop the underside

I wouldn't recommend them on planets with ion storms though, recoilless is definitely the choice on those.

When thrown, EAT also sticks to things, so throw it at a charger, pick up EATs from thr corpse and use them to kill the 2nd charger. Can't beat it.

I never used the EAT cuz with it being expendable i just didnt feel like i could get much use out of it.
However just last night a teammate was using them and dropping them everywhere.
I started grabbing them for myself as needed and man it was nice. Very short cooldown and no backpack has this has my go to support option now.

The main advantage of the EAT over the recoiless is the time to get off a 2nd shot is much shorter, and the magic number for most heavy targets is 2 shots. The recoiless is much better for jammers and ion storms.

Video didn’t bring up the best part, the hell pod it comes in. It crushes fabricators, deals a decent amount of damage to tanks, if it doesn’t bounce can deal massive damage to chargers and hulks, you can headshot walkers and bile titans those those go down to two rockets to the face regardless.
Seriously learn the distance a directly vertical throw goes (21m ish) and a 45 degree throw goes (45m ish) and you can snipe fabricators from any direction

you forgot to mention one of the main strengths of EAT, the hellpod!
you get to call a hellpod down like a Poor Man's Orbital on a really short cooldown!
i've killed many chargers and quite a few biletitans with the hellpod :D
against bots i run stun nades and it is so funny stunning a Hulk and smashing it with an EAT hellpod!

Why not recoilless? Get stuck in the reload animation enough times on higher difficulties and you'll appreciate the EAT. Turn on auto weapon switching and shoot it and keep running

Ever since eats got the glowup by being able to one shot chargers it has been a staple in my kit. I'll throw down a dozen or so in those wall defense missions and watch the armor absolutely crumble before my wall of expendable armor destruction. It's S tier in my opinion.
