Hei ! Found this vid by chance and found it refreshing to see someone who is stoked to get the bike of his dreams ... good man ! I have a few questions if you dont mind ... 1) What brand is your Jacket, and where did you buy it ? 2) I have a 2000 Transalp 650 and maybe looking to sell and buy a Himalayan ... but, have you been on a trip over 2 hours and is it comfortable ? (You're about my body frame ... unlike Itchy Boots !). What appeals to me is the fuel consumption, which is around twice what I get from the 650. ... Good luck bro !
Hi. I'm happy to see that you liked my video 😁. I will now answer your questions: 1. The jacket is Alpinestars Andes V3 Drystar White. 2. The seat is decently comfortable, and the riding position is also good. RE is offering as an option the touring seat, which is more comfortable than the standard one. I have the normal seat on mine, and I can ride about 1h - 1h and 30 minutes before I take a 10-minute brake.
Great video! I'm curious if you'd care to share. What is your weight and how does the Himalayan handle when you're riding? I'm just a smidge under 120kgs and normal is be doing for a larger cruiser but the RE Himalayan interests me. Thanks
Hi Craig. Thank you. I'm very happy that you liked my video. I'm about 185 cm tall and about the same weight as you. The Himalayan handles my weight ok I would say. Suspension feel ok both on road and off road. My height is the issue I would say. Because my feet feel a little bit cramped after riding for a while and over all the bike feels a little bit too small for me at times. But I got used to it pretty fast and now I'm ok with it. In the future I will mount bar risers or a new handlebar and also a tall seat to make the bike suit me better.
Has the water misting of the instrument cluster been fixed? I will look into the side stand on my 2021 model. Have to shuffle around sometimes before I'm happy with the parking feeling stable. I thought it was because side stand was weak - I have to do a cowboy mount because of my age. The engine improvements sound good, 4% more is better than 4% less. Happy riding.
Hi Tom. I haven't got any issues with the instrument cluster yet. So I think they either fixed it or I'm just lucky 🤭. The side stand is still a little bit too short for my taste. I also do the cowboy mount because it's easier 😁 and looks cool. But I already dropped the bike once because of the side stand ... so yeah ... not great. Thanks for reaching out.

Hi, the answer is Yes. I actually ride it on a temperature of 0 degrees (celsius) to get to the filming location, and I had no issues with stalling or idling. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that when I first strat the bike, I always let it idle for about 1 minute before shifting into gear and start riding. I do this for the first ride of the day or if the bike was off for more than 1-2 hours.
Good vid I didnt know about some of these changes! Just picked up one myself and I think I have an issue in 2nd gear when turning, engine seems to be labouring. (I think it happened after I filled up the tank). It gets up to 50/60 a lot quicker and smoother than I thought, was really pleasantly surprised so am hoping this 2nd gear thing isnt serious. But am only 26 miles in. More testing soon. P.s Otherwise its brilliant.
Hi :) Thanks I am happy that you enjoyed the video. Regarding your issue don't worry it will disappear after the break in. Mine after the first 500 km and the first oil change... it was a totally different bike. I think this will be the same for you. :)

Olla Cris. Mersi mult.
Gorgeous mountain range! 22 owner. I Had starting and high idle concerns for weeks.. ( I'm talking 9 attempts to start.) After watching multiple RE videos from trusted compadres, I adjusted the throttle position sensor multiple times by ear and adjusted idle accordingly. could not get an accurate reading on multimeter. We measure less than 1 amp correct? Like .58.... We all seem to change the plug and relays. Love the RE movement in the US. Perfect review brother and your countryside is stunning....Dam!
Hi. I'm happy to see that you've enjoyed the video. 😃 . Regarding the idle and stalling issue, you could try a Fuel X Lite device. Maybe it helps. I have not used one myself, but I've seen quite a lot of videos on thsoe and they seem to improve the overall fueling.
Hi. I had the same question as you, and I chosed to buy the current Himalayan 411. Let me tell you why I think this was the best option. The upcoming 450 is said to be launched at the end of this year in India. But in the rest of the world, it will be available only mid 2024. Also this release date is not official and it could be shifted. The second thing, is that the first version of the 450 Himalayan will probably have some issues because this is a totally new platform.... new frame, new engine, and the first liquid cooled engine for Royal Enfield in this euro 5 era. So I will buy the 450 after the first version is updated... when it's more refined. So this gives me a few years to enjoy the current Himalayan. But I will never sell my current Himalayan because it's too much fun.
Salutare! Fain video! Good job! Pro review!
Mersi.
@4:30. WOW. NUMBER FIVE IS HUGE. I’m always skeptical can you show how you obtained this info? please? this is the first place I hear this. I own a 2024 model and the EVAP system looks exactly the same. I have one week with the bike and so far no stalling if what you say it’s true I made a good choice. But there is weird noise when you change gears. This is awesome news for me, what about the relays should I be worried about them? Thank you a lot for making this video Cheers
Hi. You can find this info with just a single google search. As regarding the rough gear changes try to adjust the clutch cable and put good quality oil.
Salut. Am uitat sa intreb ieri, ceasul acela rotund color e after market? Tu am vazut ca nu il ai. Si ma mai interesa ce inaltine ai. Eu am 1.73 si mi-e teama sa nu fie cam mare. Ms!
Salut.
its called the Himalayan 411 FE (Final Edition) I have one and RE has improved this one a lot . The coneset issue has been fixed. The engine is a lot smoother and vibrations reduced. RE made a mistake killing this bike .
Good informative review, thank you! Can you tell me the brand of the buddyseatbag? It is exactly what i am looking for! And what is your experience with this bag? Greetings from Hungary
Hi. I'm happy to see that you are a fan of the Himalayan as well. I wish you lot's of happy kilometers with it. The mountain is called Piatra Craiului. It's near the city of Brașov in Romania.
Hi. I think it's best to talk to the local dealership and see what they have to say. Things will vary from one dealership to another and also one country to another.
Hi there, thank you very much for this video of a 2023 Himalayan. I bought mine in 2022 and is slightly different to yours in the following ways : 1. Mine has something called "Tripper" - it is an additional screen installed to the right of the rev counter and works with an app on your phone to give turn by turn instructions a bit like a GPS; 2. Mine doesn't have a usb socket power supply on the handlebars; 3. I don't know for sure but as mine had never shown the tickover problem I'm guessing it has the upgraded relays and engine software. My Himi has now done nearly 5000 kms and I love every moment I ride her.
Thank you very much 😊 The small turn by turn arrow navigation is sold as optional, and for me, it didn't make any sense to buy it because I always use a GPS device. Also, regarding the compass, it's now gone, I guess ... You can get it as an option in some areas but depends on location. It had some issues because of the vibrations, and it was not very reliable, so I am not surprised RE removed it.
22 himi...(US) compass spot is gear indicator. Navi works...is certainly a little funny with its arrows, but most of the world navigates through their phones. ( which we all see mounted next to camera's) That seperate Navi gauge could certainly be turned into a aftermarket compass which could be beneficial if signal is lost. RIDE SAFE!
Hi. The answer is yes. But the 450 has not been launched yet. They are testing it intensely, but no official launch yet. Rumors say that RE will launch it at the end of autumn in India. Will have to see...
Its not the seat problem Is the position of your legs,,,(too front) So all the body weight gets on your bum 😅 Thats a common problem with straight body position
Yeah. Could be that. But on other adventure bikes, they managed around that issue with a better seat. RE also have done that, but with the optional touring seat.
That was an option I considered but I do like the current Himalayan. With all of its flaws and defects. I like the looks way too much and the overall ease of use.
Salut.
RE is an RE... A joke to the riding community... Brother, you mentioned the new ECU, however, you did not mention how dumb it is... It doesn't work properly, bike struggles for air even in normal conditions, so GOD only should save it at high altitudes... You talked about tail lights being LED, however, how about the main headlight which is still halogen... It is RE's guarantee that there is an 80% chance of having an appointment with God if you drive during the night times because nothing in front of you will be visible and if it's raining then it's better to have an additional spare of 3 torches so it will be somewhat comfortable to ride... You did not even mention the heat it produces, you should wear heat protectors on your legs so that you'll not get leg fatigue because your leg got exposed to prolonged heat...
I don't know about you, but I didn't have any of these issues. Except for the headlight, which is not very bright indeed, but I mentioned it in my video.
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE Well, the bike build and quality do differ from country to country depending on the standards... You're one lucky person brother... Enjoy your ride... Even with all the challenges that I'm facing, I still love my bike, it is the company that I've issue with...
@@Blvo1 I had a TB 350 before the Scram 411, let me tell you it was the greatest gem among gems. However, with the new bike I am highly disappointed. I did K2K twice on my old bike brother, however, I am greatly worried to take this bike even on a long ride. Recently I tried to cover 400 kms on a single day and the bike was turning off whenever I lowered the throttle, ECU is unable to maintain the RPM when the engine gets hot. There's nothing against the bike, it is the company that I am having issue. They are getting free publicity, yet what changes have they made when it comes to riding safety apart from introducing ABS, none. One engine, two wheels, one handle and a seat, is the bike running, introduce it to the market, if any problem arises, we'll call back those bikes.
Saludo grande amigo!

I love your video. You make me feel happy to watch
Thanks man 😁 I'm happy that you liked my video.
Dose the ECU change mean I don't need a booster plug for this new model for the cold days engine idling
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE I hope so! Because can really see myself loving it.
Riding position is great and I didnt expect it to handle so well.
P.s Did you notice any increase in wind noise? (It was a very windy day I rode it back from the dealer).
Caaac pP
Yes. Wind noise is definitely worse. The wind is hitting me directly in the helmet 🥲
Esti adorabil cum ca si Ryan de la F9 faci glumele alea si iei in considerare si 'the elephant in the room ' si atat de carismatic incat videoul e un bonus pe toate planurile, abia astept urmatorul :)
Olla Cris. Mersi mult.
Thankyou my friend, for the positive review on the 2023 model. Some reviews can get a little dark. I receive my 2023 next week 👍
Thanks! I hope you enjoy it!
Congratulataions, beautiful bike and beautiful area to ride. Have fun and enjoy.
Thanks man 😁🥳
What is this place ? Looks absolutely gorgeous 😍
Thanks man 😁 It's a natural park in Romania called Piatra Craiului.
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE looks like heaven .
Yeah, it is very nice and peaceful. 🤩
Gorgeous mountain range!
22 owner. I Had starting and high idle concerns for weeks.. ( I'm talking 9 attempts to start.)
After watching multiple RE videos from trusted compadres, I adjusted the throttle position sensor multiple times by ear and adjusted idle accordingly.
could not get an accurate reading on multimeter.
Should we wait for Himalayan 450 coming in September? Or buy this one?
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE great thanks for your reply!
Salutare! Fain video! Good job! Pro review!
Mersi.
Can anyone identify that top luggage bag on the bike, looks perfect ! Where can I buy one from ?
Hi. It's a tail bag made by Q Bag. I bought it from a local motorcycle store in Romania.
Salut. Am uitat sa intreb ieri, ceasul acela rotund color e after market? Tu am vazut ca nu il ai. Si ma mai interesa ce inaltine ai. Eu am 1.73 si mi-e teama sa nu fie cam mare. Ms!
Salut.
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE stii cumva cat costa ca si optional?
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE iti multumesc pt reply sincer! asfalt uscat sa ai!
Mersi. Asfalt uscat și ție.
E și geamăna ei pe drum. Ajunge luna viitoare 🎉
Nice 😁🥳🥳
its called the Himalayan 411 FE (Final Edition) I have one and RE has improved this one a lot . The coneset issue has been fixed. The engine is a lot smoother and vibrations reduced. RE made a mistake killing this bike .
My 22 uses the compass as a gear indicator.
Yeah. They changed it since I firstly tested the Himalayana a few years ago. RE are great for the fact that they improve always something on the bike.
Good informative review, thank you!
Can you tell me the brand of the buddyseatbag?
It is exactly what i am looking for!
And what is your experience with this bag?
Greetings from Hungary
Hi. Thanks. I am happy that you liked this video. The tail bag is from QBag.
thanks for the new informations.....
Thanks as well. I'm happy to see that you liked my video.
Hi Mate, Just bought 2023 Himmi 😀 What is the name of the mointain range in the background? I’m an alpinist too 😀😝
Hi. I'm happy to see that you are a fan of the Himalayan as well. I wish you lot's of happy kilometers with it. The mountain is called Piatra Craiului. It's near the city of Brașov in Romania.
Beautiful scenery.
Thanks 😊 Indeed it was very beautiful
Sounds good 🙂 Beautiful scenery.
Thanks 😀
nice summary, enjoy the bike mate
Thanks 😊
Nice Himy! BTW, what place is this? Winterfell? :)
Hi 🤭 thanks. It's a natural park in Romania. But let's say it's Winterfell 😂😂😂
What country is that? Wow. Switzerland? Austria? Where
Hi Annette. It's in Romania. It's the Piatra Craiului natural park.
Hello bro if I book a New Himalayan bike with nevigation mitar in showroom than can I get in 2024 ????
Hi. I think it's best to talk to the local dealership and see what they have to say. Things will vary from one dealership to another and also one country to another.
what about the battery discharge when the motorcycle is standing several days?
I didn't have any issues with the battery so far. And the longest period workout starting the motorcycle was about 7 days.
Hi there, thank you very much for this video of a 2023 Himalayan. I bought mine in 2022 and is slightly different to yours in the following ways :
1. Mine has something called "Tripper" - it is an additional screen installed to the right of the rev counter and works with an app on your phone to give turn by turn instructions a bit like a GPS;
2. Mine doesn't have a usb socket power supply on the handlebars;
3. I don't know for sure but as mine had never shown the tickover problem I'm guessing it has the upgraded relays and engine software.
My Himi has now done nearly 5000 kms and I love every moment I ride her.
Thanks 😊 I am happy that you liked my video.
What happend to the Navi and Kompass? Like your enthusaismus about your bike. Nice video in a beautiful sorrunding.👍👍
@@ONE.LIFE.ADVENTURE those are useless gadget anyway
Exactly.
22 himi...(US) compass spot is gear indicator.
Navi works...is certainly a little funny with its arrows, but most of the world navigates through their phones. ( which we all see mounted next to camera's)
That seperate Navi gauge could certainly be turned into a aftermarket compass which could be beneficial if signal is lost. RIDE SAFE!
Yeah. That could be an option as well
The 2023 model don't have a navigation screen anymore?
It’s an optional feature
Isnt the new model a 450 water-cooled mill?
Hi. The answer is yes. But the 450 has not been launched yet. They are testing it intensely, but no official launch yet. Rumors say that RE will launch it at the end of autumn in India. Will have to see...
Have a lot of miles on a 22 model. These changes should help a lot. Nice bike...congrats
Thanks man. 😁
Hah! I didn't actually find the usb charger on mine until I was searching for somewhere to fit a new one that I'd bought.
🤣🤣🤣 ohhh god. Man 🤣🤣. Well, I was lucky that I read the owner's manual, and I found out about it before buying and aftermarket one.
❤❤❤
😊 thanks
Your most welcome 🤗
Wow! I love where they put the USB port. That’s the perfect place for it
Yeahh. Interesting location. 😅
Is the seat any better now? It used to only take a few miles before you could feel the subframe biting your bum.
Hi. It's slightly better 🤭🤭 but I have a big but as well so it helps me 🤣
Its not the seat problem
Is the position of your legs,,,(too front)
So all the body weight gets on your bum 😅
Thats a common problem with straight body position
Yeah. Could be that. But on other adventure bikes, they managed around that issue with a better seat. RE also have done that, but with the optional touring seat.
you should've waited few more months for himalayan 450
That was an option I considered but I do like the current Himalayan. With all of its flaws and defects. I like the looks way too much and the overall ease of use.
Why does he look like B Praak? 😭😭
🤣🤣🤣 well, I didn't expect that
ikr 😂😂😂😂
Thanks 😊
@@subbuthedon1 for re its not like that. Mine's working great. Took it ladakh twice. My friend is using interceptor. His also working great.
Same boring bike...nothing special
Not really. They improved it quite a lot. They took a rough stone and turned it into something special.
Its a do it all take it anywhere motorcycle. What special were you expecting? Seeing it transform to an autobot 😂?
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saludo grande amigo!
Hi. Thanks 😊 I am happy that you liked my video. Regarding the tripper navigation, I didn't want it on my bike. I didn't find it extremely useful because I always use a GPS device, so for me, it was simpler without it.
