Aljazeera, now come and see the centre of Bacha Khan's descendants politics in his hometown, Charsadda. The Pakhtuns hate the politics of the descendants--the politics of their own personal interests. The party in recent past was weakened by the corrupt clique in its midst, known Easyload Babas and SMSs. Their politics has been buried once and for all. In recent general elections, the part almost completely lost to the opposition candidates, particularly, PTI. The party's no sincerity to Pakhtuns' interests has kept them aloof from their current politics. Bacha Khan and Wali Khan were no doubt honest but the following descendents were and are corrupt through and through!

Frontier Gandhi was a congressman fought against British imperialism using Non violence. He was one of few Muslim intellectuals who opposed partition and wanted nwfp as part of India but alas Congress ditched him at last moment and he felt alone. He was not only a freedom fighter but social activist, reformer and wanted education for all pashtuns.

In India Bacha Khan is still alive in the history books of schools but in Pakistan he was blamed as a traitor, his only sin was to work for the freedom of this area and was against any partition but after Pakistan came into being he accepted it with from his heart. Every time I come across Westminster Square Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela at Westminster Square I.e. Bacha Khan’s absence in such spaces is deeply felt, especially for those who recognize his profound role in advocating for peace and justice through non-violence. Known as the “Frontier Gandhi,” Bacha Khan led a remarkable struggle against oppression, standing as a beacon of resistance against both colonial rule and discrimination, similar to other iconic leaders.
His legacy-though perhaps not as globally recognized-remains a crucial chapter in the story of non-violent resistance. His unwavering principles of peace and unity make him a true hero of humanity, especially for Afghans and Pashtuns, who see in him a reflection of their values and struggles. History may overlook some figures, but their impact resonates with those who carry their memories forward, a sense of justice or karma has a way of balancing things in time.

Thanks for sharing the video. Bacha Khan, also known as Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, was a prominent Indian independence activist and a key figure in the Indian freedom struggle against British colonial rule. Born on February 6, 1890, in the Peshawar district (now in Pakistan), he was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi and played a significant role in advocating for non-violent resistance.
Bacha Khan was a strong proponent of education and social reform, particularly among the Pashtun people. He founded the Khilafat Movement and established schools and institutions aimed at uplifting his community. His dedication to non-violence earned him the title "Frontier Gandhi." He was also a founding member of the Khilafat Movement, which sought to protect the caliphate and promote Muslim unity.
Throughout his life, he faced imprisonment and persecution for his beliefs but remained committed to his principles until his death on January 20, 1988. Bacha Khan is remembered as a symbol of peace and resistance against oppression in South Asia.
