I actually had the good fortune of seeing Bacha Khan alive in Delhi. He was a greatly loved and respected man in our family in India. One of the most popular markets in New Delhi is named as Khan Market in the memory of Dr Abdul Jabbar Khan. He was also loved and respected in our family. Today I am old and think of how great these two brothers were and their contribution in the freedom struggle. Youth of today have no idea of what our forefathers had to go through to achieve freedom.

Before partition on a mission to convince the people of NWFP to join India, once Ghafar Khan entered the famous Akbar Pura town after crossing the river Kabul at Charssada. Before his address, a famous Muslim league figure of the area read the following famous welcome poetry in Hindko, after listening to this he ran away from there without speaking a word.
Paray dey Ghafareya khairi Aaya tu
Lamay teri hath tay lama tera muh
tey khairi aya tu
(welcome you Ghafar from across the river
you have long hands and a long face, welcome you)
He was a pure congress and communist agent. ANP in KPK lost completely at the hands of PTI because ANP has no narrative except telling the sacrifices of this guy. ANP joined the hands of the establishment first by removing Bhutto and then Imran Khan. In KPK they always talk against Punjab but in reality, they get millions from Nawaz Sharif. Kabul River originates from Chitral, the people of Chitral tried hard to change its name from Kabul to Chitrat River but ANP always opposed it.

Salams ,your podcast on BACHA KHAN was excellent, I have admired this selfless leader since the time I began understanding politics...its such a pity that he is always misrepresented in history.I read a very interesting book on him written by an Indian author his facts about BK are similar to yours
Qayoom Khan was a bigoted tyrant.
BTW,during the massacre of chowk yadgaar,wali khans wife and sisters broke purdah to come out and help the injured.
Unfortunately,,the descendants of Bacha khan don't have the same fire and vigour commitment.Asfandyat khan Unfortunately has major health issues and is no longer active.

السلام علیکم ڈاکٹر صاحب بندہ ناچیز نے خان عبدالغفار خان صاحب کی دو تین کتابیں پڑھ چکا ہوں مشکل الفاظ کی وجہ سے سمجھنے سے قاصر تھا وہ بار بار کچھ الفاظ پڑھتا رہا جس کو نہ سمجھ سکا مگر ماشاء اللہ اج اپ کی ویڈیو دیکھ کر بہت زیادہ خوشی ہوئی اپ کا ہر لفظ با اسانی سے سمجھ سکا اور ماشاء اللہ اللہ اپ کو ہمت دے اور جزائے خیر دے۔۔آمین
میرے نظر میں اس ملک میں صرف اور صرف تین اہم رہنما تھے جنہوں نے غریبوں کی خدمت کی باقی کسی نے ہیرا پھیری کسی نے کرپشن کسی نے لوٹا کسی نے توڑا کسی نے ظلم کسی نے بادشاہت کسی نے بدمعاشی طرح طرح یعنی طریقہ کار مختلف میشن صرف ایک ہی ہے کہ غریب کو کس طرح بیوقوف بنایا جائے صرف اور صرف غریب کو نقصان ہی دیا ہے۔۔

I as about 13 years old when bacha khan arrived our village in Attock we were brain washed that he was traitor but today I am 69 years old and realised that he was more patriotic then any Pakistani now I really love Aimal khan and his speeches inparlement now we don't want to miss him

Bacha khan was a great person extra ordinary human...He rendered numerous services to all india community....His plea for united India was best as per his thoughts and experience...His sincerity to his cause is undoubted...Unfortunately pak slave media ill informed masses and british stooges always tried to defame him...He was a school of thought not one person only...perhaps such people were not suited to doomed country like pakistan.. May almighty shower his blessing on this noble soul. ..From Toba tek singh with love.. .

بابڑہ کا قتل عام 12 اگست 1948 کو ہوا تھا۔
پاکستان کے یوم آزادی کی پہلی سالگرہ سے ٹھیک دو دن پہلے۔
ستم ظریفی یہ ہے کہ غیر مسلح پشتونوں کو قتل کرنے کا حکم دینے کے بعد سنگدل وزیر کے پاس انسانیت باقی نہیں رہی اور اس نے جلیانوالہ باغ کے قتل عام کے کرنل ڈائر کی طرح اپنے جذبات کا اظہار کیا جب ان سے سوال کیا گیا۔
اس وقت کے وزیر اعلیٰ عبدالقیوم خان نے صوبائی اسمبلی میں بیان دیا:
میں نے بابرہ میں دفعہ 144 نافذ کی تھی۔ جب لوگ منتشر نہ ہوئے تو ان پر گولیاں چلائی گئیں۔ وہ خوش قسمت تھے کہ پولیس کا گولہ بارود ختم ہو گیا۔ ورنہ ایک بھی ذی روح نہ بچتا"
باچا خان ایک ولی صفت عظیم انسان تھے' کاش مسلم لیگ اور انگریز کے اندھی عینک سے پرے ان کا کردار عوام پر آشکارا کیا جائے.
کاش لوگ سمجھ جائے که غدار کون تھے اور محب وطن وقوم کون...
