  • Kutsinta is a popular Filipino delicacy made from cassava flour, brown sugar and lye water. It’s chewy and sticky with reddish color due to annatto seeds. It’s best served with grated coconut.
    The kutsinta recipe that I’ll be showing here requires minimum effort and the procedure is so easy to follow. If you’re thinking of making something for merienda or wanting to start a kakanin business, this recipe is worth trying.

    1 Cup All Purpose Flour
    1 Cup Cassava Flour
    1 ½ Cup Brown Sugar
    3 Cups Water
    1 Tbsp Lye Water
    1 ½ Tsp Annatto Powder or 2 Tbsp Annatto seeds soaked in 2 Tbsp hot water
