For being 17 or 18, Danielle is doing so well. Her acting and singing is impeccable
I like how everyone is dressed in blue, like in the book, sort of like mixing the book and the movie. Although it is odd that Glinda is in blue, in the book the good witch of the north is purple, but the costume is still beautiful.
Now that I think about it, Glinda's costume in a lavender or light purple colour would be a nice idea. And would be a contrast with the Wicked Witch's dark green ensemble.
Can we just appreciate how cute the lullaby kids were so cute😭
I like how all the Munchkins war blue like in the book. Though the many different colors they wear in the movie looks good too.
Can we just realise that Oz existed before Wicked, wicked is Oz fan fiction as far as Baum would have been concerned. Glindas costume here is a fantastic take on it, really magical, and fantastical, a bit more like the witch of the south in the book, and this is her original character, the point of wicked was to add depth to this person, who is shallow and ditsy and good and and pure through and through, that doesn't make it cannon with THIS particular storyline, so stop trying to compare the two, they're totally standalone. This interpretation is utterly fantastic. as for Tierney and her performance she's fabulous in both, but you have to realise that Glinda and wickeds Galinda are different portrayals as they technically speaking aren't the same character, wicked is a variation on THIS character.

Well, in L Frank Baum’s original book, the Munchkins were actually the same height as Dorothy, who was originally supposed to be no older than 10 or 12.

Can't help but agree that Wicked's G(a)linda is much more, well, Glinda-like than in this, in my opinion. I've seen Emily Tierney (who plays Glinda here) also playing her in Wicked and she's absolutely fantastic - best G(a)linda I've ever seen/heard - so I don't think it's actor-related. The strange choice of costume & a blue wig contributes to it, plus the lack of meaningful dialogue. Great performance nonetheless, especially from Danielle Hope; although, poor Nessa... ;)
The original was already over-reacted, but now this is just too much !
And anyone can do a better Dorothy than judy...
t00x11k all the typical on stage "Dorothyisms" if you will, are because of Judy, they're in reference.
Judy Garland, is wonderful in the movie but it’s of its time. The acting style is very dated, it’s a glorious film but to have Dorothy, gasping and ‘ahing’ and ‘oohing’ in a modern production, just descends into camp. It’s such a shame that this production was the product of such lazy theatre makers.

This production is completely based on the 1939 musical, yet they dropped the ball in replicating the look of Glinda and the Wicked Witch.
