    I just ordered a Mission belt by accident. I'd been looking at the Groove belt for a while and waiting on a sale price. Scrolling through Insta yesterday I saw that they had them on a BOGO, so I jumped on it. I was so excited to finally find a sale price, I didn't even notice that it was the wrong brand.. 😬 This morning when the order confirmation came in my email is when I realized what had happened. Mission has free returns and refunds, so I'mma go ahead and give it a try. We'll see how I like it. Since I don't carry firearms, I'm thinking I won't really like the stiffness and lack of 'give' in the Mission, but we'll see. Great review! Thanks!!

    I’m a mission belt man. I’ve been wearing mine since the summer of 2020. I carry all my guns, IWB and OWB. No issues. I got the thicker nylon and flat black buckle. Only bad thing I can say about it is the flat black finish feels off with wear. But it’s no big deal.

    Thanks for posting the reviews. I never heard of Groove Life belts before. I have a few Betta Belts and absolutely love them. I am heavy, I wear my pants low on waist. What I like about the Betta belt is I can get the exact length I need and also it is lightweight (the belt and the plastic buckle). The Betta Belt/buckle is so comfortable I don't even feel it. Before with a standard leather belt/metal buckle I had to adjust when sitting down/standing up (which is frequent when I work in office), and the buckle would dig into my stomach and also cause pants to sag. I would never go back to a normal belt and at my age/condition losing a lot of weight is not likely (unless I starve myself, which isn't going to happen, having a hearty meal is one of the few things I have left that I enjoy).

      I’m glad this helps! I know what you mean about the stomach: other belts and even some of my pants would put a painful, red, deep groove right under the sag…. So at work I use the groove belt because it has the right amount of give while keeping my pants at my hips. It sounds like the groove life belt might be worth a shot for you.

    The versatility amd how much the hold the gun to you is the same between the 2 . The both can be adjusted perfectly to how you need it. One quicker yes but ones not more than the other.

    How does the groove life do just as a belt for keeping your pants up?

    • @CitizenCarry
      @CitizenCarry  3 года назад +4

      It does even better at that! No weight in or on it and it’s more comfortable than a belt that doesn’t flex when you bend and stoop. I only wear that belt to work and I’m a chef.

    Tbh both wins on their purpose.
    One is extremely soft. And one is more stylish and solid looking.

    For IWB the Groove Life Belt is sooo comfortable. Other belts are bothersome.

      I agree, big time. Groovelife belt is most comfortable all around.

    Those are 2 sad floppy looking gun belts. If your serious about carrying i would recommend Blue Alpha, Kore Essentials or Hanks Leather belt. Have you seen the videos with the groove buckle popping open with a gun on it?

    • @CitizenCarry
      @CitizenCarry  3 года назад +6

      Ive had the groove belt and carried with it for months and that hasn’t happened at all. I imagine if you have it so tight that ‘somethings got to give’ it could: it’s better for IWB.
      I wouldn’t call them “sad and floppy”, especially the mission belt. It can’t even be construed as floppy. It’s solid and durable.
      I think, as in with guns, that there’s an unspoken prestige about certain brands that become an expectation with everyone. But there are many great belts for many different purposes.

    Chris you could have title this vid 2 worst options for gun belts. As they appear they are floppy fashion belts that made to hold up pants.

    • @CitizenCarry
      @CitizenCarry  Месяц назад

      I definitely can see why you’d say that…. But these were 2 heavily advertised, low priced belts, both of which I still use routinely to this day.
      “Best “ and “worst” are both highly subjective terms, and can easily be applied to any belt for a variety of different reasons.
      For example, the groove life belt is absolutely ideal for me for inside the waistband carry of my five shot revolver, or my single stack 9 mm pistols. It flexes with my movement. But if I am going to carry a larger gun, I would not use the groove life belt. I would use the mission belt, which is highly adaptable and very adjustable, and not floppy in the least.
      And I definitely know that there are much better belts out there for a variety of different purposes (and higher costs). I don’t doubt that whatsoever! I was not reviewing other belts though. I was reviewing the groove life belt, and the mission belt in this video. The viewer can (then) make up their own minds, and of course, choose differently!
      I appreciate you watching!

    Citizen you should review some decent ccw belts. had both these belts and how many ways can you say sucked. Mission belts is like an ordinary belt but with a track and the leather is actually vinyl and my iwb g19 holster shifted and bounced and shifted all over using groove belt. I had to go get an actual gun belt. Imagine that.

    I hang my 1911 from a 1.75" Kore ratchet belt that they recommend for the range not edc. Its a total beast!! I like the wider size but truthfully its way more belt than most guys would want. I would totally recommend the kore 1.5" belt for cc guys and sitiutions.

  • @noahdavis992

    Citizen kore is the best ratchet belt for men by faaaar. Way better made especially if you carry a firearm or gear cause theyre made much much better than both of these and stiff. I had a mission cheapo junk belt & buckle broke in 3 to 4 months. It was crappy. Mission is bonded leather which is glued pieces of leather pressed together. Your knowledge limited. Groove belt is fine for casual use but not that well made or sturdy. Both SUCK, I mean really suck for carrying my glock19 outside the waist band at 3 oclock. Like you said they fold over. These belts aint gun belts my man. I know your getting paid to review this junk but your misleading folks.

    • @CitizenCarry
      @CitizenCarry  3 года назад +7

      First of all, I’m not getting paid to review anything. I bought these belts on my own.
      And I am not misleading people in the least. Not even a little bit.
      I bought the belts and gave my opinion.
      The presence of a different product or even a better product doesn’t render my opinion of these products wrong, even if you like something better. Plenty of people like these products and there’s nothing wrong with them because their preferences don’t match yours.
      In the market you have choices....and not just your choice. I’m sure Kore is a great belt, and I’ll look into it one day.

    Citizen the Groove belts are terrible for outside waistband carry they are NOT gun belts. I tried and it was a joke they bend and flop. Mission belts are barely any better and cheaply made. Both are fine for holding your pants up. I would say Kore is the best for concealed carry. Theyre just more stiff and faaar better materials.

    • @CitizenCarry
      @CitizenCarry  3 года назад +1

      Your opinion sir: but I did not attain my opinion without putting these to the test.
      That said... the groove life belt is better for IWB carry because when I used guns (like the Beretta M9 and the 1911) they did start out leaning. Not that many people are carrying those, anyway . They OWB carry more than adequately with full sized guns under 28-30 oz., and compacts and below.
      The Mission Belt much more aptly handles those 2 heavier guns: if you’re flopping it’s because your belts too loose, or your holster high rides your gun. The holster plays a huge role.
      I made a point of carrying the Beretta M9 with that one because it’s full sized and heavy. It did great.
      Everyone has their favorite brands and their own custom reasons for choosing what they have. “Terrible” is relative and may not be the opinion of others.
