I thought they're actually quite ropey (by his own standards) in quite a lot of it. He seems to be struggling with holding long notes in particular. It's still a brilliant concert though. I might be judging him against his current vocals though which are incredibly strong - he's improved a lot over the years (from a pretty high starting point i might add).
Weights is the shit, reminds me of getting my first guitar, trying to play it all the way home, because we were quite far away, listened to man alive non stop at that time. Fucking brilliant
When they got into the main body of Schoolin', my eyes widened, I stopped what I was doing, and I just said "Wow". This is purely incredible, completely lost for words
The range in his voice is incredible, can't wait to see EE live and maybe hear some of these in there, just hope I don't cry like a child in public if Final Form is played
I love Final Form so much, don't get me wrong! It's so emotional and beautiful, makes me feel so much for Jonathan and really gets me nostalgic. If only Greg could have heard this, I cry for the two of them.

Still criminally underrated :( I've only recently come round to realise how good they are. Gladly, got a gig ticket for April and can't wait. I know I'm in for a treat and honestly makes me so excited.
I’ll always come back to this video, such a great performance of a masterpiece album with such a fantastic composition for the band! I wish EE did more of these!
When Jon's talking about "Greg" ("a friend of mine who couldn't really move for much of his short life but he always had a smile for everybody") in the intro to Final Form, he seems really emotional - like he's holding back tears. It sound like he could be talking about a baby who only lived for a few months. :(
final form is my favourite EE song of all time, and this rendition is absolutely beautiful... i really do hope they play this song some more, though i understand it's very personal to them also this version of photoshop makes me want to bounce off of the walls and claw all my furniture like some sort of rabid beast
@@davipinheiro4120 it was written in honour of a friend of the band who lived a very short life on account of a condition that limited his movement, but didn't let that get him down ("while i can slumber, rest, move so slowly / it's creeping across his chest, like some cold weed / he's not as afraid as me, like some dancer"). jon even dedicates this particular performance to him before playing
Best live vocal performance I've come across so far (and currently I'm on a spree which won't end too soon), maybe it's the intimate setting, the "very serious" air with orchestra, maybe just very good monitoring. Although at some points the mix sounds a bit fishy, this is gold. The arrangements, the Greenaway-ish low lights, the density... if this doesn't make you fall in love with Everything Everything, go donate your ears to ... dunno, some person who needs them. Thanks for the upload! 🐻👌🏼💕🎼
Saw the concert at the RNCM, Manchester after seeing EE on Jools Holland and being 'blown away' by them. It's a shame there isn't a better quality version of this.
@@jacvic0790 boy you just replied to my four year old comment 🤨 also yes why would i not . it's one of their first songs everyone knows what it's about
It really bums me out that they never performed Hiawatha Doomed live much, and recordings of the few times they did are very hard to come by. I really think it was some of the best of that era of EE.
still dream about the band releasing an official HQ recording of this show

Yep! Always come back to it :)
Been listening to the Man Alive Album since it first came out and only just discovered this. So talented!
let's go!
And 2021!
'23 til infinity 🔥👊✌️
10 years on, this is still phenomenal.
Jon's vocals are much better in this than I've seen in other live performances. Really great.

This is the only time i've seen him pull off Final Form live, i think they dropped it because it was too high even for him.
The transition from the interlude to Photoshop Handsome gets me every time. It's so good.

I've played a few gigs with my choir in that church (the Union Chapel in Islington), standing where the xylophone player is! It is an amazing venue.
Second time I've listened to this. This rendition of Final Form nearly brought me to tears. And the energy in Photoshop Handsome is unreal!
I will never stop coming back to this video, absolutely golden.

Did they mess up the beginning of Qwerty Finger or was that deliberate?
on schoolin they forgot the whistle
Replaced it with a violin I think, I found it pretty cool and unique but I did miss the whistle

Yeah, the whistle is a key ingredient.
