Introducing RC1’s first ever Publisher Challenge: Middle Grade Legends
Yep, that’s right. RC1 has secured a publishing partnership with Bushel & Peck Books out of California. They’re looking for a debut author from within the RC1 community to help fill their middle grade list. This means a guaranteed book deal is coming for at least one of our users. And if we can prove that our community can do this at a high level, this will be the first of many opportunities we create for each other.

We make no bones about the fact that RC1 sustains itself through our Total Story Accelerator program, with education, live events, and members-only opportunities. But we all started off as starving writers and our goal is to create more access and opportunity for the next generation of authors regardless of where they are at financially. RC1 is an innovative community platform for writers where users swap feedback on their work in progress. Ready Chapter 1 partners with publishers to discover market-ready writers and stories.
Ready Chapter 1 is a free-to-use online feedback exchange for writers of all ages and genres. In the process of swapping critiques (and with a little help from data analytics), the community helps identify which stories are ready for publication.
