I got that as a kid from ppl of all races (but all middle class) all the time when I was younger but it took me to become an adult to understand the implications of saying that to a black child

For real. I remember a few years ago, John Witherspoon was a guest on the morning radio show I listen to, and he was talking about how they were close to getting the Boondocks reboot off the ground. Then within a month or two he was gone.
I dont think anybody on that couch "GET IT" .... and you can read the irritation of actual Boondocks fans😁 but TO BE FAIR it does take several re-watch to pull all the content out. (and some years of living). its not surface level content.

Back in the day, The Bookdocks would run alongside Metalocalypse. At that time, we had a Rap and Death Metal Cartoon. Best time ever. Metalocalypse is coming back with a movie next month, an album and an North American tour this year! Can’t wait for more Boondock reactions!!
I actually prefer less people… too many people becomes a negative. I think it’s should be 5 at most, any more than 5 is when it starts negative impacting the reactions imo. (With 2, 3 and 4 being the most ideal)

I recommended this show to friends and people for ages and only now I see people apricating this amazing art work for what it is. It's by far my only best animated series period. It's raw & sticks to comedy's true nature ( which is f**ck your feelings) & enjoy the laughter while knowing that what you hear are jokes meant to uplift you instead of stress you.

Even Tyler Perry tried to get this show canceled because he got exposed on it. R-Kelly didn't like it either & many others. With the rise of social media & reaction videos, the show is saving itself even with all the cancelations & suppressions.
Bro I grew up with it recorded on a VHS tape. It would play after Resident Evil and I woukd have to fast forward through the whole movie to get to the Boondocks. I was young as hell tho so idek how that works

One reason I love the Boondocks ks it sets the tone for the show right at the first episode. Some shows you need to get maybe 3 or 4 episodes in before you make a decision. With Boondocks there are checkpoints right in the first episode that determine your tolerance for it, ending in the hilarious Uncle Ruckus song.
The reason it looks anime is because they got animation studios to do the animation. Lotto Animation, Dong Woo Animation, and DQ Entertainment helped with season 1. Madhouse was suppose to work on season 1 but the deal fell through and nothing they worked on made it to air. Moi Animation did the majority of work on Seasons 2 and 3. Sunmin Animation and Moi Animation also helped on season 2. JM Animation helped with season 3. Then Studio Mir did the 4th and final season.
Well these guys are too awesome so I’m pretty sure they’ll be fun like always, I highly doubt they’ll let a anime/show trigger and mess with them no matter how many strays it has or racial stereotypes after all it’s just a anime/show and an awesome show at that.
4:57 It's korean animation, just like most American comic book cartoons. Most of them are made by Korean animation studios. Season 4 is actually made by Studio Mir (Legend of Korra).

It's a real funny show with some awesome fight animations, I think my favorite episodes were the chocolate fundraising one and the one with the Bob Ross look-a-like (mostly cause I was an art student and I once found a summoning circle for Bob Ross in one of the classrooms).
