At the end of last semester, my roommate and I blared this throughout our house, singing at the top of our lungs and dancing with a glee untold. He had just pulled down his highest GPA of his college career, and I had completed my first semester of nursing school. What a moment! Thanks Jerry!
The moment the horns came in during back on the field was AWESOME!!!!
This suite permeates my mind, and moves me in a way that is quite rare. The portions played during the times of hardship, feel as if they can speak to my present and past outlook, upon which a million words can ever shed light. After feeling so understood by the first half this suite, the victorious outcome seems to train my mind to believe that the same can be true for me. It releases more "happy neurotransmitters" than any prescription medication can rival... Jerry Goldsmith was an outstandingly gifted and thoughtful individual.
Penn state fan & im not ashamed to say i loved the movie & this piece. Brilliantly done.
Now that's funny Chris , hey you're a fan what can you say . Your secrets safe here
SLY SPY lol. No need to keep it a secret. Never ashamed of a masterpiece
SLY SPY just saw your comment btw or would have responded sooner. This damn soundtrack has me listening again. Never gets old
Hey Chris , You're right no matter the team in your heart this soundtrack had you rooting for the Irish . Jerry Goldsmiths ' composition here was as much part of the success of this movie as the story itself . Like you I listen often
SLY SPY i think this soundtrack MADE me irish. Thats ok. My italian mother once went to ND to visit a friend when she was younger. ( her friend was going to school there & she went with his parents for a weekend to vist) she always said it was the most beautiful campus she had ever seen
Beautiful music, allowing me to feel somber and triumphant at the same time.
How can one person not like this?
He's the best there has ever been. Has consistently and without fail, delivered incredible music both in terms of skill and emotion, for half a century.
Awesome performance by the orchestra.
This theme music is so emotional.
Most beautiful, i was there vs Georgia Tech, the theme fits it perfectly, the horns mix very well with Notre Dames ground game and melody’s with their passing attack; with the 24 class coming in even more so, this old onescdream would that could hear the bands entire horn section sound in the final drive of a major games, life needs a mueical score to feed it and let thevteam eat !!
No pictures and coughing throughout still can't make stop playing this on repeat...
There are better versions of this great piece... studio version with photos of great American on one... love it but not sure if it's been pulled... There's a repeat button?
Bravo! Very difficult job you did here, and it sounds great! I love this piece of music!
19:42 WHO'S THE WILD MAN NOW?!!!!
He's definitely up there w/ John Williams.
Jerry GODsmith
Awesome Caleb! Congrats!
So inspirational!
I like the one from the scene where Rudy is at Pete's funeral after he was killed in a steel mill accident.
Every time i listen to this movie's soundtrack i think i become a better person! hahaha GO IRISH!!!
Cough drop anyone?
Dream JUST be gone
It is all abaout his signature. So trekkie!
35 likes say it all!
Google guy. Completely agree. If it wasn't for this film and music my personal career would have turned out different.
Where can I find the orchestral score for this?
Score is available on Amazon on Varese Sarbande records
Should show a picture of something, anything.
Who imagines they are running a no time outs last play into the end-zone? Or shooting down German Fighters with my P-51 Mustang in the last days of WWII.
Was this concert ever released on CD?
I've said stuff like that years before this comment ;D
SaD SonG
I finally had to turn it off before this guy hacked up a lung. Talk about Rude D!
Hate that guy coughing
Yeah that was gross at 4:47! WTF!
Yea, I had to turn my screen away for fear of catching a loogy in the face. It's a mood breaker indeed! Sounds like a smoker cough.
But... He didn't have his dumbphone on texting while the light shone in others' faces, nor was he giggling and talking with his friends in the audience while kicking the back of the seats in front of him, so give him a break. Hell it might've even been a she or an it.
Would be nice if you just include a background image with audio files. Looking at a black screen is kinda lame...
19 people have no respect for Rudy....
***** Classic comment..Ha!
USC fans...
there are many ND haters in the land... I'm not one of them.... This is not the best rendition though he is conducting... on the the studio version..
Hahahahahaha
Two thumbs WAY UP👍👍for Jerry Goldsmith and The Royal 👑 Philarmonic Orchestra for this stirring performance of a classic 90’s movie score from a classic 90’s film-“Rudy”! Two thumbs WAY DOWN👎🏻👎🏻😱🤮😷🤐for the FARGING ICEHOLE who was hacking away during this otherwise GREAT PERFORMANCE!!! Talk about being RUDE-Y! WTF,dude?!
Awesome performance,Indeed! But it's not the Royal Philharmonic playing this! It's the London Symphony Orchestra performing! The same orchestra that would play The first six Star Wars movies,Superman the movie and Raiders of the Lost Ark!
@@sguinn91 Hey now-I have nothing but the highest regard for the LSO-I LOVED how they interpreted the music the great John Williams composed for all those films! But no matter which orchestra plays them-all those iconic scores-along with the “Rudy” score-are ALWAYS uplifting and inspirational to these ears!!! I wish Mr.Goldsmith could have worked more with the LSO-they would have made a GREAT combo on film scores!!!
@@jamesmonroe7903 Sorry, man. I didn't mean it like that! As for Jerry working with the LSO, I agree! I wish we had more recordings of them playing on his film scores and hearing them play while watching the movie he worked on! Star Trek for example!
@@sguinn91 Oh if the LSO had been the orchestra playing on the Star Trek film scores-that would have something to hear!!! Thanks for the feedback-I ENJOY hearing from folks responding to my postings on YT and other social media sites-I ❤️ a good conversation online!!!
PS-Bravos for Maestro Goldsmith(RIP🌈)& the Orchestra for this masterful performance-Rotten 🍅 Rotten Tomatoes😱🤮for Mr.Typhiod in the audience!👎🏻👎🏻WHAT A BUM!!!
Beautiful music, allowing me to feel somber and triumphant at the same time.
