Haven't swung on a vine in too many years. That looked like a lot of fun. Glad your friend didn't get hurt when it broke. So sad those lovely chimneys no longer have houses to live in. They're beautiful.

I love your videos. I metal detect myself with the garrett ace 200. My house some time around the Civil war. 1863 was the last tax record. But i haven't even been able to detect and dig up half of the yard because there are so many signals you can pinpoint any! I have found a door knob, square head nails, and even a block of what i believe is silver of lead.
That last house looks like it was a made by a movie-studio, back then they would make half-decent houses to last long enough to get multiple uses out of it; the other smaller houses would be for production use; which is why it is built in the middle of the woods, and is falling apart so easy, and yet "appeared" to be so finely made.
Nugget, that manor house is a lot older than you think. Those bricks in the chimney are the size used up to the Victorian era. And that cast iron piece you found is part of a fireback plate used to protect the masonry in the fireplace and also reflect heat back into room. In wealthy homes such as this, those were always used in fireplaces in the 19th century and earlier. They could be very elaborately made with a family crest, or chosen design cast in bas relief, and often included the year the house was built. This was a wealthy family, signaled by the number of chimney vents that would have been on top of the chimneys by virtue of the double-sided fireplaces. It was a show of wealth back in the day. All that beautiful local quartz, granite and marble was also a big statement. Very cool find!
I’ve miss3d Nugget Noggin adventures. You were the one who got me into watch metal detecting and enjoying seeing and identifying relics. My friend’s son loves watching you and has bought a metal detector.
Old homes hold such energies, all the life and living they held. *I'd have to know the History of these and find someone with a photo from its early years. I'm particularly curious about the one with that large Chimney, it appears quite grand."*
Puffballs, rope swings and abandoned houses. That reminds me of our Victorian Farmhouse and woods back in the forties and fifties. Loved it! Happy New Year to you'll. Cheers, Rik Spector P.S. Those were big places, someone there must no more about them.
What an amazing and glorious day. It's not always about what you take home, but what you find in the process, and the memories you make. thanks for showing us amazing old houses.
These structures were striped of all salvaegeable materials. This was probably the estate of an extended family of some wealth. Abel and dad had the time of their lives. Great visit!
As a younger lady (profile pic is my husband btw), I got to learn how to use an antique musket. It was so huge! A boyfriend talked me through loading and shooting it And the kick was so hard even propped up that my shoulder was bruised for a long time. but man it was so fun!
Happy new year. Thanks for what you do. Your videos and verses at the end made 2020 a much easier year to deal with. Im looking forward to this years videos. Hope you find many treasures.
Oh you are so blessed to be young and able to go on these amazing adventures! Thank you for posting these...so I can live a little vicariously through you. That mansion must have been so beautiful at one time. Beautiful rockwork too.
Those houses must have been pretty nice when they were made and with a very nice view. Just looking at the stone and brickwork they must have been impressive.
Oh those puff balls bring back memories for me at my maw maw's in alabama on the coosa. They were all over the hollar and we'd pop them in our hands.....good times.
There just might be an old coin under the mantel of the fireplace of that old mansion. I saw a guy on my local PBS station display his collection of old coins he discovered that had been placed under the fireplace mantels of old houses. The builder of the house would place a coin under the mantel as a token of good luck and wealth to happen to those who would live in the house. Sometimes the fancier the house the more valuable the coin.
Thank you for the adventure and seeing some amazing scenery and stuff ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing well here in Kansas .
A ray of sunshine . In a crazy world. Best hobby ever . I have been a skydiver . Motorcycles . MMA. But the best hobby I do and have done is treasure hunting . Just got me a equinox 800 . Amazing Detector . I would've out 24 7 if I could . Love this u tube channel. Awesome guys . Thankyou . 👊
I would do a fast sweep with a large coil like the Jimmy Sierra Bigfoot and plant a wire utility flag on non ferrous targets. Then change coils to a small shooter and find the goodies.
Haven't finished watching yet but have to point out that Abel seems to have the most sense of you all. Abel: How will we get DOWN? 🤔 NN: Awh, we'll worry bout that LATER! 🤪 😁 😁 😁
Someone should by that land, systematically pull out all rotten wood, clean up site and rebuild incorporating the rock walls & chimneys into a brand new build.
ahh It's good to see you Nug. Went out looking around for a family member's lost wedding band Christmas eve, Christmas day and the day after. No luck yet, but I'll find it sometime soon I'm sure. The reason I even have a detector is because I started watching you a few years ago. Fun video here. Beautiful old place that must have been by the water. Wonder what the other site was with the two chimneys. Imagine the history. Figured I would swing by and say hello and Merry Christmas.
That was a fun hunt Mike , awesome finds .Great friends .You inspired me to do more metal detecting in 2021 . God Bless . Merry Christmas and Happy New Year . Mike Espo.
For kicks, I would have created a nice big fire in the fireplace as a ceremonial goodbye and last fire the old girl will ever have! Plenty of firewood to be had that's for sure!
I don't understand why the houses would be wrecks like that if they were built in the '20's or '30's? That isn't that old for houses, especially well built ones like that. Possibly a tornado?
Just found your videos... 😊👍 Now I have to binge watch them all! So much joy to watch y'all finding some cool treasures! Not sure where you are, but here, in the mountains of North Carolina, we call those mushrooms 'devil's snuff'😝🤭 Hope you have another meet and greet soon! Great job!
People had such great dreams when that house was built
That Lad will remember this day for the rest of his life ~ what an adventure!!!
The shorties love adventures....’specially with easy going fun adults....
Omg Michael when you pitched your shovel and your buddy gave his attorney plug I burst out laughing. You have so much fun.

Looks like you all had a glorious day hunting! Tarzan swing...😉
Very cool house site. Thats a huge house. Possibly 3 stories tall. Cool hunt.
The stonework on the mansion is still in fantastic shape. You could still use it and rebuild right over it again. Wonderful
Definitely need to make a return trip! There’s things there! Bring your sifter and a rake! LOL
Leaf blower.
Lol ya
Hi everyone. Another great video. Thank you for sharing with us. 👊😊👊
I would have loved to see the house before it collapsed.
I always love your attitude! Makes other folks day better😁
Cool video, Michael! I'd love to see a picture of those homes when in their prime. Abel had a blast!💖

The big cast iron piece in the fireplace was definitely a grate for firewood. Awesome find buddy!
6:47 And that's how the real life *The Last of Us* starts, with some guys messing around with fungus in the woods. haha

Awesome day for you guys outdoors and the best thing about it stay blessed and see you again on the next episode ❤👍🙏
That's so awesome, I collect these type of marbles with whirls since kindergarten and I never knew it's because they are older, Epic >
You should come to Ireland, you went to England. We have ruins that are older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids.
As a younger lady (profile pic is my husband btw), I got to learn how to use an antique musket. It was so huge! A boyfriend talked me through loading and shooting it And the kick was so hard even propped up that my shoulder was bruised for a long time. but man it was so fun!

Hello from Delaware. Been catching up on a lot of your old videos and thumbs. Every little bit helps.
Thank you!
@@nuggetnoggin Have you ever searched in Delaware?
Fun video Michael! That ending cracked me up. "I already am" LOL
You need to take a leaf blower with you when you go to these old building sites. It would be a lot easier to work over the yards and dump sites.
Love these old homestead sad that they are run down etc. Use your imagination to see it back then. stay safe and thanks for sharing

Amazing abandoned houses and finds!!!
You can tell the police that you have a hostage LOL
These structures were striped of all salvaegeable materials. This was probably the estate of an extended family.
Some of those beams might be chestnut. Worth lots of money!
When you run across a old fireplace. Run your detector over the bricks. Can be coins in a jar or cast iron box, behind the bricks.
I would do a fast sweep with a large coil like the Jimmy Sierra Bigfoot and plant a wire utility flag on non ferrous targets. Then change coils to a small shooter and find the goodies.
Always interesting. :) ~ I liked seeing the finds of the marbles; button; bottles; etc. ~ No coins this time?
Tuck & roll big man! Tuck and roll. Nugget is a good strong young man, He could have carried you out! 🤣
What a great time.

Really more of an exploring video than anything.

Great video, Letting the little guy play with a machete was a little unsettling to watch.
I did replacement windows for years and that type of window wights were always in houses built in the 1800's
In the 1900's they looked different.
For kicks, I would have created a nice big fire in the fireplace as a ceremonial goodbye and last fire the old girl will ever have! Plenty of firewood to be had that's for sure!
