The Spindle Whorl is a 'weight' on the end of a Hooked stick. The weight keeps the spinning motion steady, and not wobbling- much like riffling in a gun barrel keeps the bullet moving straight. The whole contraption is known as a Drop Spindle, and it's used to SPIN loose wool into yarn.
I looked up the French button with 77 and found this on it: 77th Regiment of foot button The 77th (East Middlesex) Regiment of Foot (The Duke of Cambridge's Own) was a line regiment of the British Army from 1787 to 1881
And I found this on the 94 one: 94th regiment of foot The regiment was raised in 1793 from the men of Connacht by John Thomas de Burgh, 13th Earl of Clanricard. In 1881, the 88th (Connaught Rangers) Regiment of Foot (which formed the 1st Battalion) and the 94th Regiment of Foot (which formed the 2nd Battalion) were amalgamated. The amalgamation of the two regiments into one was part of the British Government's Childers Reforms of the British Armed Forces which was, in turn, a continuation of the Cardwell Reforms implemented in 1879. At that time five infantry battalions were given Irish territorial titles
I think I like the finds in this video are better than most of your other videos. Of course all the videos u do are top shelf I just love your 1600s coins & other stuff. So cool. Keep making these videos bud. Thanks
Nugget another great trip! You and Chill Bill have great chemistry when you work together. You found some great coins for sure! Are you allowed to bring them back with you? Coins are not always my thing, all the other bits and pieces are very interesting and gives a person a small window to the past. Well done again!
The ring could be anything but likely also a button. One which had a fabric circle in the middle. Quite often the back rusts away and the fabric rots, leaving just the ring. Amazing haul Nugget.
You found so many coins great work and in the rain brother but you did not give up and you were rewarded for your efforts. Nice words at the end as well brother JESUS loves you forevermore take care and stay safe and keep up the great work God bless you and your family and friends peace be with you all. No Retreat No Surrender Ever brother 😎
Your host is the picture of a jolly English man🕊️.. England is a good place to find relics as well as coins that can date back thousands of years...If you dig an old coin in the US, it's possible to find the oldest dating back no more than two or even three hundred years.... Can't go back further than that... It's got to be a big thrill to dig a coin from the ancient Celtics.. Cool stuff.... Thanks for sharing....🙏☝️🕊️
You are a charming young man and very fortunate to be able to travel and do what you love. I really enjoy your videos and love it when you travel. This was some awesome finds. Enjoyed. Been a fan a long time.
Wow!!!! Awesome nugget. Even though the weather wasn't the best, as we like for it to be when were out digging in the dirt. Still you weathered through it an beat the odds. An out came the good ol sunshine to brighten up your day. An man did it. You found plenty of old coins. That was a good coin day. An I love the 16-1700's coppers. There probably my favorite to find. There so many different ones. An so many different designs. An when we find them, you always wonder who dropped it, why did they drop it, an what were doing to cause them to drop it. Well never know but it's very intriguing to wanna know. It's just so awesome to go out an find so much history just waiting for us to dig it up. Like a kid at Christmas time. What a feeling. Great video brother. As always safe an happy hunting/digging.😁👍👍
King Louis the What-not 😄 That was funny. I would LOVE to detect overseas, but the fear of flying holds me back. Throw me on a cruise ship.....I'm there. Lol. Those coins are amazing. I miss all my ancient coins. My entire collection was stolen about a year ago unfortunately. Won't stop me though. I love seeing coins with dates starting with 17 and earlier. The oldest dated coin I had was 1505. I also had a 1681 Liard De Bouillon. Was my oldest French coin, and my first 1600s coin. Awesome buttons too. I didn't get into collecting those till I started watching Quarter Hoarder. Lol.
Glad ya get to travel and see the era of the Saxons.. what a way they lived, the chips and holes in the coins was for the amount of worth to whom they was buying from, so if they wanted silver you would clip the weight of the silver to the seller
Awesome cold wet muddy hunt! So cool your out with Chill Bill! “This is my excited face”😆 Lol! Was this your first dig? How exciting to find such old coins! Thanks for taking us to England 👍🏻 GL&HH🎧⛏
The two military buttons were by far my favorite finds...especially the 77. Just imagine the time and effort put into making those things back in the day. 😃😮
WOW, Great finds Nugget!!! Love the condition of the Liards and D. Tournois. The two buttons are Napoleonic and date to the early 1800's. I have a reference source that can ID them exactly. Looks like the weather wasn't much better than what we had in England though. Happy digging, Dave.
Awesome vid nugget! That looked like a great trip. Lots of old coins! Lots of rain and lots of mud. Stay safe!! Kevin Who filmed you walking thru the gates at the station? Lol.
Very nice ! You found some very interesting and very old coins and buttons. I was just wondering wouldn't that mess up the coins when you keep trying to clean them off with muddy gloves ? Just curious.
“Here’s a modern coin from 1862 I found”. (Nugget’s first day hunting there and he is SPOILED!!! ) We freak in America over anything from the 19th century!
in fact the part with a gear shape is a Gallic wheel made out of lead or antimony over 2000 years of age, and not medieval fuselage for loom production. Loïc from france.

Enjoyed the hunt brother. The amazing feeling you must’ve had digging up each of those 1600’s coins. Awesome!

Why & how did you chose that place? & what are the chances of finding so many old coins & nothing new! 🤔
What an exciting Diggin'-Day!
You’re always smiling - and it’s awesome!!
Awesome! What great finds! 1600's! That's really going back. If only they could talk.
So glad my country was generous to you! Awesome!
I'd give anything to visit and detect there ! It's beautiful and just different it seems from over here in Us.
Nugget, I really enjoyed your relic room tour. You should do a updated video
Dylan Bly Yeah definitely

What happened to the broach with the stone?

Me too
Jenni Woodworth Although he did not mention it in the roundup, think it is at 19:07 on the left side enter. It looks to be upside down.
