The act of union 1707 passed by the Scottish and English Parliaments created the United Kingdom. The UK Government under pressure from Scottish Nationalists (SNP) sanctioned a Referendum in 2014 which you observed the SNP lost by 45 to 55 %. In the 2016 UK referendum on continued membership of the EU the UK as a whole voted to leave but Scotland voted by some 65 to 35% to remain. This is one of the main reasons the SNP find justification for holding a further " once in a lifetime" Indyref as they claim the country was taken out of the EU against its will. If Scotland secures Independence and the SNP is successfull in its ambition to re- joins the EU as a new country it will have to adopt the blocs rules and regulations on trade, freedom of movement of people and in many areas concerning social, economic and political policy creating a border within the current UK. Overcoming the complexities of these issues and separating Scotland from a 300 year old union would be an administrative nightmare.
Yes. The thrones were unified by James I, so Charles is still the King of Scotland and England if they devolve (so will he still be the head of state, will they have a referendum on becoming a republic?, etc), what happens to the Armed Forces (and therefore the Edinburgh military tattoo) Scottish regiments who swear loyalty to the crown, not the nation, Scots servicemen who want to remain British, etc. It is going to hit a lot deeper than people seem to think.
There is no “boarder” between Scotland and England. Just a couple of big stones that have Scotland on one side and England on the other, or signs. Hadrian’s wall used to be the frontier between the Roman Empire in England and the Picts and other tribes in “Scotland” (though Scotland didn’t actually exist as a country then, and nor did England). It’s actually not at the current geographical boarder between the two countries, but instead, further south in northern England. The Antonine wall was even further north, basically cutting modern Scotland into two from The Clyde to Bo’ness.

Then for 2 years the decussion ended until in 2016 Brexit, where the UK decided to leave the EU. A majority of Scotland wanted to stay in the EU and have wanted another independence referendum, it mainly the corrupt scotish government pushing for this, who have mismanaged scotland for many years.

There is no border you just drive across Border sign much like a state line in the US. The wall you are talking is Hadrian's wall which was build by the Romans after the invaded Britain and was supposed to keep the Scotts out as they were considered barbarians. I am in a halfway house as my mother is Scottish and my Father is English so I can claim to either English or Scottish when it suits me. Most importantly I can translate Scottish as they use lots different expressions that sounds English but make no sense. As an example " A bonny wee lass". means "A pretty young girl" and another "Fityar saying" which means "What are you saying" as you can image this makes it difficult to understand. Robert Mugabe was a dictator of Zimbabwe and ruined the economy and used violence to keep the population under control. Liverpool is known for it not wanting to be part of the UK and their mistrust of the state and they moan a lot. They have a very strong accent and insist on calling Liverpool with extra "o"'s in in so its Liverpoooool which is very annoying to the rest of us. Also they obsessed with Football (Soccer) and have two teams "Liverpool" and "Everton" which have very strong rivalry. Liverpool are the much stronger team and have won both domestic titles and European titles. They and other traditional teams have been overtaking by teams who have had financial investment from the Middle east which they don't like. They used to hate Chelsea who were bankrolled by Roman Abramovich (Russian) who was chunked out when the war in Ukraine started and the Government stole the club and sold in to an American Company called Clearlake Capital. Bad news they are spending more money that the Russian but not playing well yet, as soon as they do they will be moaning again. Perhaps too much details but you gives you an idea.
Liverpool is regarded as 33rd county of Ireland, as a lot of Irish moved there. Premier Thatcher the slut, et al, ignored it completely+as it fell into further decline, with crime rising. Liverpool was an important seaport in the past.(Think of Detroit and it's car industry) Liverpudians however, are the best, as they laugh in the face of London's treatment of their city, as Liverpool rises steadily from it's decline. Still has major problems, like all major cities.

You guys should check out the Destiny Stone of Scotland. Just a big block of granite I think. Priceless today. It has a history dating back to the old testament and the beginnings of government. It's basically a what gives the Scotts their identity today.
As a scouser from liverpool its because we dont class areselves as english because of past issues with the government you may wanna look it up
scouser " liverpool people " charge him for his jokes
I do not know why Scotland want to leave either, after all we have got them just where we want them.
Exactly that is why we want to get away from your greedy crazy government etc. We just want to get away from England who don't care a sh××t about us but you come up here to buy our cheap houses and you couldn't wait to leave the EU and are now throwing your toys out the pram and wishing you never did it, you can't have your cake and eat it but you lot do. Lol
You correct, there was a scottish independence referendum in 2014, to finally put an end to the discission, a once in a generation vote. The result was scotland decided to stay.
You say corrupt and avoid Westminster, people like yourself lie to everybody in Scotland hence why we will be gone by next year..
@@ylt123 bye, join the EU and get ruled by brussels
@@stue2298 independent in a union unlike now, absolutely!
That is totally correct (apart from the Scottish corrupt government as the SNP win election after election) but what actually happenned is the No campaign said you will be kicked out of the EU if you vote Yes for Indendependence and that spooked some some people so they voted No. Then Brexit came along and we voted Yes to stay in but England voted No and now we are out. Now the Tories will not give us another vote because they Know we will go Yes this time because the lied the first time.
Unless there’s a change. And thrown out of Europe is a change. And cockney ignorance
Am Scottish and voted to stay in 2014 but then we left the EU and that's one of the many reasons I want independence even more than ever 🏴🏴
Well you won't be independent if you are in the EU that's for sure.
Please sign the kick Scotland out of the UK petition 🏴✌
Am Scottish too and voted for Indy in 2014. 8 years of Sturgeon and the absolute mess she's created time after time and i'm now 100% against independence. Theres no credible party or leader to vote for. SNP are a joke.
I'm English. I don't blame you. However, I'm from Yorkshire. Can we come, too?
@@leostarr9789 come to Scotland but prepare yourself for the reality that the majority up here STILL reject Sturgeon, her band of incompetents AND Indy desires
Still has major problems, like all major cities.
best city in the uk Liverpool
Maybe he meant Liverpool Football Club. They suck.
YOU JUST DRIVE TO SCOTLAND NO PROBLEMS, WE USED TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE THRU EU EASY TOO BUT SINCE BREXIT YOU NOW NEED 27 OTHER VISAS TO DRIVE THRU EU FIR A HOLIDAY, SOME BRITS ARE THICK AS 2 SHIRT PLANKS LOL
Who visits 27 countries for a holiday? Someone who is thick and can't spell short?
No you don’t! Brits can travel into the EU for 190 continuous days, twice in a 12 month period, without a visa. So, You must have bloody long holidays, be a bit thick or you are just trying to stir up trouble with misinformation. But you are correct, some people are as thick as two short planks. You have just proved it! Oh, and you don’t need to shout.
What is wrong with your cap lock?

Wow. You talk a lot.
You're not political? Trump supporters?
I’m from Scotland and I voted to leave the uk in 2014 and unfortunately we didn’t get it but if we get another referendum it will definately be another YES to leave from me. I don’t like the english or London or anywhere south of border 🏴
