Hi abi, I’ve tried following your tutorial from starting fresh. But every time I start it, the thread comes out on the bottom two or it gets tangled. Can you help me or someone else?
You're an absolute star for making this video! I can't thank you enough. I was totally flummoxed when I unboxed my machine, but found your video, followed step by step, and I'm up and running. Thank you!!
I am in the process of threading my machine after my first attempt over a year ago, and I will use you comment as motivation because my hands and neck are cramping because of that yellow thread. update: I used two tweezers and bargained with the spirit of my locker machine to cooperate and now I got it
I can't thank you enough for this video! I unboxed mine last night after sitting on it for over a year, and the photos in the manual were horrific! Will definitely be following you!
I bought my overlocker and it too sat in its box for about two years before I was settled and wanted to use it. I agree that the instructions and photos in the instruction manual are horrific! Thank goodness for people like Abi.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I had my Singer overlocker for nearly 2 years and following your instructions I am now back to using my overlocker and making my garments more presentable. Thank you.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video 😁😁😁. You saved my brand new overlocker's life - I was just about to throw it off the balcony from my 4th floor flat out of sheer frustration! I had overlooked to catch the little hook by the lower looper with the yellow thread and without knowing about that little hook, the instruction manual was unclear and confusing. I've only done one small test strip, but so far, so good, and it appears to be working fine. Thank you again for such a detailed and informative video, without your help, I would have definitely gone crazy!
Thank you so much for this. I’ve spent two days trying to fathom out how to thread this ... never used an overlocker previously. Tomorrow morning I will start again! 🌸
This is so very helpful! I'd been falling out with my Singer 14SH754 overlocker for months and just couldn't figure out what I had done wrong, but your video shows me that I hadn't managed to get my green needle thread through the tension disk at the top. I feel so stupid (I was literally checking everything except that), but very relieved! Your videos are a lifesaver. Thank you, Abi.
Thank you for all of your videos I appreciate you taking the time to make them as I enjoy watching your reviews as well as learning from them.I cant wait till im able to get and afford a Serger.
And couldn't believe that i could zoom in while on youtube on my phone. Was able to stop and start. So there i was with a head torch and tweezers 🤣🤣🤣🪡🧵
Thank you so much for this video. I've been really struggling to thread the jellow thread. It kept getting undone. I've got it now. So thanks a billion!
Thank you for this video. I just got a new Singer Overlocker and have been trying to thread it. I've worked hours doing it, because just as I think it was threaded correct it wasn't looping at all, all I would get is just a long string of threads or it would work for a minute and then go back to the long string of threads again. So now I'm going to keep this video on and watch and do this step by step.
@@AbisDen I think my problem has been was that I didn't have the thread in good enough in the little places and it would slip out. I have your video for reference if I have any more issues. Thank you so much. You make the yellow places look so easy, getting into that little notch in the looper took me a long time but I think it is finally in correct.
I got this overlocker too lol. Just seen your aldi sewing machine which i also have and you helped me a tonne with that. Looking forward to braving the overlocker too, all thanks to you!
Thanks so much for this as this is my first overlocker and have been pulling my hair out over threading the difficult yellow thread - your tip about how to get it through the looper is excellent
Thank you Abi. This tutorial has really helped me to thread my 1st overlocker, same as this one from Lidl. It only took about 45mins, would have been quicker but my guide threads snapped so I had to thread manually.
I have a Singer overlocker from Lidl (14sh 754 I think) which I had sat in the cupboard for a long time before I plucked up the courage to use it!! When I did pluck up courage, because I had heard awful tales of doom regarding the threading, I was pleased with the instructions but the photos on mine told me nothing! However, once I had worked out how to thread the lower looper I wasn't worried any more and threading became easy. It stitches a dream.
Thank you so so much, I just bought this machine and the pictures in the manual are so unclear, I followed the instructions in two different languages already and I still had problems, but this helped so much!
Thanks, Abi. This was really helpful to get my new Lidl Singer overlooked threaded. I've rethreaded it several times now so feel much happier about it. I made your Japanese Knot bag this evening to try it out and it worked well. Just need to work out how to get a neater, firmer seam so the stitches don't show when the bag is turned right side out! X
Yayyyyy! I got it I’m serging now, it was that fiddly little hook right inside the machine, I was hooking the thread on the wrong piece but I finally got it thanks to keep rewinding your video thanks abi, u are a 🌟
Gets new machine out. Cuts thread off the machine.Gleefully bins. Starts video. Take the threads on your machine to guide where you place these spools...cries. Has cup of tea and decides to leave setting up the overlocker till this afternoon....or tomorrow...Thank you for doing the video. If only Id have watched it first.

This was great, Abi. I’ve just been helping my friend to thread her new Lidl overlocker. The bit at the end about checking the thread through the tension dials was extremely useful. I don’t think we’d have got there without your instruction.
thank you so very much for this video. I hope that you will make a lot more on this machine. I don't know what I did wrong, turned some of the wheels not properly , it no longer stitches correctly. I must say that your video is so much better than the one on the singer website.
I got that wrong I meant it’s number 2 I can’t get right it’s after 4th yellow dot I get confused, wen I try to serge the thread from number 2 doesn’t sew it’s all loose then breaks,
Having just purchased this Overlocker I realise that, whilst it is very similar to the other Lidl machines such as the 14SH754, there do not appear to be any additional items specifically dedicated to this model. For example, I can’t find overlocker feet dedicated to the S010L. In your opinion am I safe in thinking that anything on the Singer site which is dedicated to the 14SH754 will also be compatible with the S010L? Why do they do this?
