If you watch the first Saquon TD, it only happened because of AJ Brown and Jordan Mialota blocking, knocking the entire defense into a pile on the ground for Saquon to run past.
A player is not down until touched by an opposing player, except a quarterback giving himself up with a slide, or a returner calling a fair catch/endzone kneel down
@PoppaDonGaming as an Eagles fan I got to learn some obscure rules this year, not so.much that rule but later in the same game. The Commanders jumped offsides several time and it got so bad first the refs threatened a personal foul, then threatened to award the Eagles the score if it happened again. Apparently a very old dust rule states if a team commits multiple fouls to prevent a score it is considered a Palpably Unfair Act, and the Refs can award a score.
