    It says Serebrov on the Headstock & it looks so rock n roll. There's an Electric Balalaika which is much easier to learn on cause the action is easier & they often use a strap which makes it easier to keep in playing position.

    Dmitry Kosyakov A Plectrum on a Balalaika would produce a cool sound, & actually it would be great for musicians w/ injuries in their right hand fingers.

    • @DmitriyKosyakov
      @DmitriyKosyakov  9 месяцев назад

      Agree ! But this is good for a short time. Unfortunately, the sound of the balalaika is changing. It becomes bad, softness and warmth disappear.

      @@DmitriyKosyakov That would be unless you had super super light gauge strings. But if you use a Felt Pick, it'll sound better. I played the Balalaika w/ a Felt Pick & it sounded quite lovely.

      @@DmitriyKosyakov But what about on the Giant Contrabass Balalaika? The Giant Contrabass Balalaika is meant to be played w/ a Pick & always sounds great w/ a Pick because of how low it plays. I think a Pick on Balalaika sounds better w/ the lower pitched ones.

    Dmitry Kosyakov Balalaikas come in various sizes. The Big Contrabass Balalaika actually sounds better w/ a Pick for long periods of time because of how low it plays.

    • @DmitriyKosyakov
      @DmitriyKosyakov  Год назад

      make sure that the hand does not strain, the blows down and from below are the same, the blow from below is done on the return (as if tossing the brush up). The position of the fingers is shown in detail in the video. At first it is difficult to follow everything, but then it happens by itself, without your auditory control. You will be thinking about the music, not how to put your fingers on.

    I am still confused, you hit with your finger tip, but is it only the index finger, and no other? And also, when holding at 90 degrees, I often touch the string with my fingernail, even though it is quite short. Is this not supposed to happen?

    • @DmitriyKosyakov
      @DmitriyKosyakov  8 месяцев назад

      Good night ! I increased the distance between the first and second strings. The nail on the index finger is not large because the string wears it down. If you practice every day, your finger does not touch neighboring strings
