- I've done annual videos showing my entire pin collection since 2018, so I had to make sure I do one for 2023! (Although it's slightly later than I normally do these!) As of now, I have 1,600 Disney pins in my collection, around 100 of which are fantasy pins. 2023 has been a whirlwind of a year, but I'm super happy to be in our new house in San Diego!

Congrats on another year of pin collecting. That's cool that you made a mount for that one Emperor's New Groove pin. The Snow White and Honey Lemon are some definite highlights. I like your headcanon of Snow White becoming a mineralogist. And we are newly twinned on at least one pin this last year, the DLP Sorcerer Mickey on top of a book.

I went to college in Appleton :) I’m originally from northern Illinois, we’d often go to Kenosha for one of our favorite mini golf places (unfortunately closed a very long time ago!)

Hi Emily! Amazing collection. I have a quick question. What qualifies as a "Official Disney Pin"? I just got collecting in 2023. I have got most of my pins form Disney/Shop Disney. I have also got some form Loungefly. The question is this: Would 3rd party licensed pins (Box Lunch, Loungefly etc ) be considered "Disney Pins"? or would Disney Pins only come from Disney
Any pin with a (c) Disney on the back, whether purchased from the parks, or a licensed pin by Loungefly, is an official Disney pin (unless it’s a counterfeit version of a pin). Unofficial, or fan-made pins, are ‘fantasy’ pins not authorized by Disney

One was a D23 pin, and the other a Frozen Broadway pin

You mentioned you are now eligible for California resident exclusives online releases…..what does that mean? would really appreciate any knowledge you can share with us on this.
When the Disney Studio Store Hollywood does online pin releases, they’re often exclusive to California residents (which came about in the pandemic when they stopped doing their standard in-person pin releases)
Where are the 3 mickeys once upon a christmas pins in the bottom right of your christmas board come from? The jumbo ones, I NEVER see pins for that movie
They’re fantasy pins from a creator who stole LOTS of money from pin pre-sales they never had made (they also stole money from me), then dropped off the face of the Earth with all the stolen money

Ok I have a question because I know you are a DIY girly. What happens if you spraypaint a sequin pair of ears? have you ever tried dying sequin ears?
I try to avoid working with sequins when possible, since sequin fabric makes a huge a mess. You might be able to spray paint sequins, if you properly primed and sealed them, but not something I’d try to do
