Perhaps the best of all such videos by UGC. I shall recommend it to my students. Got her book on Shakespeare a week back. It is extremely useful. I would request Prof Kurian to expand it further, if possible, with individual entries on at least the major tragedies. I know that is not the purpose of the book, but our students would be benefitted for whom often it is difficult to go for several books.

Thank you UGC for this Gem of a series. It is invaluable for literature students like these. Also I'm sad considering how the current dispensation has been gradually stifling humanities departments all over the country. Keeping that in mind, I'd urge all viewers to take these lectures as seriously as possible. It won't be a surprise if they're taken down one fine day if sentiments of some Hindutva-vadi sanantani is offended at how Indians are being destroyed by universities that are teaching English Literature.
