We (the west) always look down on other countries justice systems but ours arent much better...the amount of times the criminal (specially if rich and famous) gets free or almost everything gets droped because of form errors, corruption and incompetence of the prosecution is truely a joke. Either it was him or not - form errors should be judged seperately.
Diddy & Dirk should not feel relief seeing this trial. This is a RICO case by an incompetent State level district attorneys office. A Federal District Attorneys office is on another level & for Diddy & Dirk, that office has a 99% conviction rate. Its over for them.

He'll get away with it because people at this point like being trampled over. People criticize the government for oversight but can't even take an extra step to figure out who they are by name and put them on blast. People love being stepped on I guess.
When you’re there every day you forget the cameras are rolling and the stenographer is typing.
The sad part is this happens every day in America but with no Livestream. So these miscarriages of justice are not seen or corrected. In most instances the first bias judge would've stayed on.
It isn't accidental either. To destroy a country from within, you do so first by destroying is institution of justice. If it looks like a clown show, folks believe it's a clown show. But like you said, a lot of this happens daily but nobody sees it. Odd part is, I have had family in the courts or law enforcement for 30+ years ( I never got into it, wasn't my real) . And all of them started seeing this really get bad about 12-15 yrs ago. When a lot judges stopped being impartial judges, and instead wanted to be political or social activists from the bench. Which is not only illegal, but despicable. I can say I experienced it yrs ago. Got a conviction on a case eventhough the prosecution provided the wrong paperwork to my lawyer and the judge. But the judge let it go ( also illegal) . Then proceeded to convict me of the charge & go on a tirade of words which included some not so " impartial" comments about myself , eventhough she didn't know me from a hole in the wall.
2 months later she was removed from the bench , disbarred .. but allowed to retire with pension for up to 20 yrs of cases where she ( yup she) was found to have convicted folks of crimes and increased fines & jail time based on race & socio-political reasons. In short this "judge" was a headache to the state because the judge used the bench as a tool of racism and socio-political bias. Giving some people barely a slap on the wrist & others beyond the full extent of the law decisions .... based only on her "personal social and political ideology" according to the articles written about it... conveniently hidden in the last couple pages of the newspaper and never mentioned on local news.... quaint how that happens.

“The court” didn’t throw a tantrum. The improper judge did and “the court” tossed his ass to protect Young Thug’s rights, as is their job. No doubt that first judge has some punishment coming his way as well. The other 2 judges operated perfectly as they were supposed to.
Nah, his punishment is the stain on his record. It'll be a constant battle in every case he presides over from now until he retires. He broke all trust, both professional and personal and there won't be a lawyer in his court room that doesn't challenge everything he says.

Nah, I absolutely ADORE judges like the third judge. She looks like a mother of three and the youngest is still in school and was just DONE with everyone’s BS before she even took the bench that morning. That’s a FAIR judge. She’s not a nice judge, she’s not a “player” judge. She’s FAIR. And even when you’re guilty, she’s not trying to make an example out of you. And whatever time you get, you’ll know that they wanted to give you more, but she didn’t think that would have been fair.

Yep and not only are the cards stack against with the judges and lawyers, it also the jury. It’s supposed to be a jury of your “peers” but more often than not people in a jury are dumb to the system. Many jury meme we have never been involved in any kind of legal stuff, they’re the people that think if you get arrested you must’ve done it. Not realizing that you can get arrested for something as simple as someone didn’t like you and lied on you

The way they dropped murder charges, gun charges, gang affiliation charges…they really did not have a case but many people cannot afford to go through litigation. Just a sad look into what most black people will experience in the criminal‘ justice’ system. Honestly hope this unveiling of how corrupt prosecutors can be will push more Black people into criminal justice reform. We need more black lawyers and lawyers who are willing to fully defend their clients, bc people like Lil Rod and Balock are examples of inept counsel and prosecutors being conniving.
Steeles closing rebuttal during the sentencing was 250 IQ move. It was a great detail to highlight and it puts the prejudice of the prosecution on full display.

Not humbled enough, from what I saw they got no consequences for their corrupt, unethical behavior. Even when you win your case and get it thrown out. Even if you get Compensation. Its usually a good Idea to move out of the Area where that DA/Crown Prosecutor and Police Department Operate. Because some of those people take it personally and if they were unethical to get you into a court facing charges they will not hesitate to do it again to try and get revenge on you and to hound you any chance they get. I have witnessed this before. Hell even innocent witnesses that they unsuccessfully try and intimidate are not safe afterwards.

If he had been found guilty, he would have been set free on appeal, since the judge and DA did some questionable things. They need to be investigated and charged if found to have broken any laws or policies.

Yeah this WHOLE TRIAL was insane from start to finish. I feel like I was watching a train wreck unfold in court. This is the first time I've felt like an entire DA's office needs to be investigated because it just seems like nobody over there is qualified

I live in Georgia. So I been watching this trial from the beginning. 😂 that shit was more entertaining than the Johnny depp one. Just a total waste of taxpayers dollars tho. But very entertaining

The likely reason she didn’t grant with prejudice is because if/when one of them slips up, the court will have them all back in there and hopefully the prosecution can get it together and convict the right people.

Brian Steele was right in wanting to let it go to trial before the jury and let them decide and win in appeal. But I get not wanting to spend another year or two after spending 2.5 years in jail for Mr. Williams. This hurts to see that with out cameras he is railroaded. Think of all those who got railroaded.

EDIT: Never mind… read someones comment that it was 3 years ago and thought that was the facts. A quick google search confirms that the court case started november 2023, but Young Thug did get arrested on May 9th 2022 and was in jail all this time, until today.

I originally thought Young Thug was guilty. When I started watching the trial, I began to realize he was being unfairly prosecuted. I was completely shocked that the state brought this case to trial with the horrible evidence that they had. The evidence was so poor that I even became confused. It's sad because it makes you think how many people were railroaded by this prosecution. I'm glad that cameras were allowed in the courtroom to expose the Fulton County District Attorneys Office. Just sad.

Nah I think some of the charges are definitely true but because they did a such a shit job of gathering evidence they walked with nothing.

They had nothing to prove he did the things they charged him for. No where near anything to prove the level they needed to to convince a jury that he 'did these crimes'
I wonder how many people have agreed to please deals like he did because the state has the money to keep them in prison until they are worn down like Thug was and have no fight left in them. We already know people take plea deals because they can't afford to pay for lawyers for as long as the state wants to drag it out for. That's a tactic the state has that should not be allowed. The state should have to limit the amount they can pay lawyers and witnesses to the same as the accused can afford to have real fairness. Having the state with unlimited funds vs your average Joe means the state can prolong the case until the accused runs out of money and practically force them to sign unfair plea agreements

It really is a good thing to watch some live streamed trials. It's part of why I really got into LawTube creators like The Lead Attorney, Nate the Lawyer and many others
