If you're struggling to manage all of your notes across personal, professional and academic life, check out "Logseq Mastery". The course is designed to accelerate your Logseq learning curve (which can be painful!) and quickly master the concepts required to take control of your digital workflows in Logseq 👉🏽 bit.ly/34EKqFo
This looks great, I'll check the whole course but so far it's really interesting how such a simple interface can be so useful and directly address some of my biggest challenges when organizing information.
I can't stop asking myself "why the hell did I not know about all of this earlier?". This is super awesome! Can you imagine how big of an impact this will make for ADHDers out there?? Thanks so much for doing this course!
Excellent, video - new user here, and you answered my two first questions straight away in 5 minutes. I think I'm a massive convert - I just have to train my brain the the next course material. A very simple concept but logseq has massive potential for me personally.
OMG so relatable!!! That's all the problems I have encountered when taking notes. I even missed some awesome ideas because I have to find a place to store them =)))
Hi. Thanks I stumbled into this. I'm curious about the mastery course. Is it updated to the current version of Logseq? Please let me know before I subscribe to it. Thanks.
Ta for the course. I'm already a Logseq user, as it appeals to the way my brain works. I'll still go through the course, however, as I'm still learning about how to use the app more efficiently.
One thing i noticed about Logseq is that people tend to input long non saying thoughts, which when formed are not helpful and merely redundant. People use it like talking with people, but in the end, it's cluttered and not focused, nor helpful or well formulated. Somehow Logseq seems to force people to use it like that.
Hey Kongolan - yeah, the unstructured approach can mean that this is one of the outcomes. However, I think if a little bit of structure is added, these "conversations with myself" can be very useful in the future. I think it's more of a default that happens when one encounters a blank page, and not a design feature of Logseq :)
I agree. Most of my struggle with the note taking on logseq was actually learning how to structure and standardize my notes in order to actually make them useful
Hi Dario 👋 First of all thank you for these videos, even for their length 😏. I'm just starting to use Logseq and I'm still not very clear about my workflow, but I loved your video, I will still watch again GTD with Logseq and I have decided to take your course despite my difficulties with English 😐, because I think it will help me to get organized. Thanks for your work, 👌
This is a fantastic introduction. I'm just getting started with Logseq. I appreciate your tutorial series as the written instructions confounded me. Probably because I had no frame of reference to interpret the ideas. I will watch one a day and try to get the hang of it. This is a really brilliant innovation. Did you invent it yourself?
PARA is a great method for organizing stuff that needs to be in folders, like computer files, google docs. I wouldnt like to use it for notes tho. I hast startedwith logseq. It feels nicer to make fleeting notes than obsidian. And using obsidian for more longer form stuff
thanks ! good job. interested to go deeply in use cases and learn by real example (tasks management / writing blog post / second brain ...) I am new to logseq.
Hey Daniele - it's been on the backburner for a while, but definitely something I want to do. Obsidian is another fantastic app and works really well with Logseq.
One thing I don't like about the Logseq, is that when I creates a note about a research paper cited from Zotero by its Zotero Setting, a set of unnecessary notes such as [[attachments]], [[JournalArticle]], always come along with it. I personally don't need them and they always appear in Graph view and there is no way to filter out. I want to modify the Zotero template, so I moved to Obsidian.
I don't work much with Zotero so this isn't something that I've come across - have you asked around on the forums? That being said, Obsidian is also a great tool and if you can get it to work for you that's a great solution 🙂
Excited to learn more about logseq. I've been a directory tree optimizer for years, with some success. But it does get hard to manage. I dove into Obsidian, which I really like, but a ton of plugins to learn about. Looking to see whether logseq is the answer!
How did you achieve the multi-word tag: "#information management"? It doesn't let me do that. I and up with "#information" as a tag, followed by the word "management"
Logseq is an outliner. It is a block-based application that allows you to structure your information in a hierarchy using indenting. Obsidian is a page based application, although you can use plugins to get it to function as an outliner.
@@CombiningMindsPKM Awesome Explanation 🙏. Thank you so much for your time in clarifying this . Now understood and subscribed your channel. I could see great study videos in your channel. Will go through all one by one 😊

Hi Ernesta - I haven't used org-roam personally, but some quick research suggests that the functionality is similar. I think Logseq seems a bit more beginner friendly, but that's my personal opinion.

very nice intro into logseq.... thanks
and also this is what logseq community needs
Thanks Goran 🙏 and now that Ramses has joined, I think the 'community' aspect will really take off.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic. This is the first coherent explanation of the benefits of bi-directional linking, nodes/objects, and search I've found.
Glad to hear :)
Excellent, clear, quick, and personable overview. (I'll keep going...) Thanks!
Thanks for the compliments and contribution Wayne 🙏🏼
wooh, your explanation! actually sold me the idea. I didn't know I need it! Thank you very much.
Awesome logseq is the mvp tool on my new job
I'm new to Logseq. This is very fundamental and useful for beginners like me. :)
Glad it was helpful 🙂
I'm new to logseq and new to PKM. Thanks for providing a logical starting point.
Glad to have been helpful :)
Can't wait to get started with the course. Just wanted to let you know that your work is very much appreciated!
Thanks so much Tamara - I appreciate the feedback 🙏🏼
Very nice introduction. Many thanks
Thanks Alex 🙏
Quite mind blowing

Are you going to do a comparison with Obsidian?
Hey Daniele - it's been on the backburner for a while, but definitely something I want to do. Obsidian is another fantastic app and works really well with Logseq.

Thanks Rick, hoping it is the answer for you :) Well done on optimising those directory trees -that's quite a feat in itself.
How did you achieve the multi-word tag: "#information management"? It doesn't let me do that. I and up with "#information" as a tag, followed by the word "management"
Hey Faizi - if it's multi-word, you have to use the # in combination with [[]] i.e. #[[information management]]
You work on airtable? If so, I can see why you like logseq.
Yep! Airtable is the bomb. I actually started another channel on it but never got very far - thinking about doing some rejigging and relaunching it :)
I have just downloaded desk top Logseq. The difference between Block and Outliners? the way they were put down looked like 2 blocks?
Hi Robert. An outliner is composed of blocks. i.e. each 'bullet point' in an outline is a block.
@@CombiningMindsPKM thanks for getting back to me 😃
I am very confused. Obsidian app also can do the same thing whatever you explained.
Wonder how is logseq different from obsidian ?
Logseq is an outliner. It is a block-based application that allows you to structure your information in a hierarchy using indenting. Obsidian is a page based application, although you can use plugins to get it to function as an outliner.

Allright I installed logseq in the hopes of seamless sync across my various devices. It turned out that syncing is behind a paywall :(
There are some alternative 3rd party solutions, but I quite like the in-house Sync (despite it being paid for)
How can we support you and this project?
You can support the project via Open Collective opencollective.com/logseq :) You can support me by buying a course or contributing at ko-fi.com/combiningminds
Seriously, you think putting in all the categories and tag is frictionless input? I can't think of anything higher friction lol.
What's the alternative then? How would you find the information when you want it?
How does this differ from org-roam?
Hi Ernesta - I haven't used org-roam personally, but some quick research suggests that the functionality is similar. I think Logseq seems a bit more beginner friendly, but that's my personal opinion.
Isn't this just a wiki?
In some senses yes, but the combination of outliner + wiki + additional functionality is powerful.
