- A major clean-up operation is underway in Dubai after heavy rains hit the UAE, flooding sections of major motorways and leaving vehicles abandoned right across the region.
The storms forced Dubai International Airport to close temporarily. Some carriers suspended or diverted flights due to the bad weather.

Sorry everyone...my fault for driving a 27 year old diesel landrover
Who doesn't love a Landy..😂
Its not just your fault brother.I once flew to Portugal on an aeroplane just for a non essential holiday. The shame I feel now😢

Drop your guilt. It is because they seeded the clouds there
Cloud seeding: F*ck around and find out.
Cloud seeding/geoengineering programs are obviously the problem.
They weren't cloud seeding 75 years ago and there was worse rain then. So it can't be that.
don't they keep messing with the weather over there?
Since when?
@@WillisAlisince 20yrs ago?
@@WillisAli cloud seeding have a look
@@WillisAli 1990 and UAE since 2021.
What is it?dropping silver or another metal out of plane exhausts?
It happened 75 years ago... so what caused it then? Maybe the same that caused it now? Isn't cloud seeding supposed to force nature to make it rain? It worked!
Indeed it worked, its a WIN
The Dubai government was apparently very happy with this outcome, so 🤷♂️
People in hot areas generally use the bathroom less as most water is dispelled as sweat.
It didn't. The record started 75 years ago.
Data collection for weather in 🇦🇪 UAE began in 1949, hence the 75 years reference.
Lession to learn: Don't play with gods creation
Terror nation
No
Once in a 75 year storm and they managed to get in global warming
75 years?? Just like the age of Israel, is this sign or coincidence?
Its not once if its happening all over the region durrrr
Someone over did the cloud seeding
Cloud seeding cannot cause storms
Over 17 million spent on it in the last few years and a few Cloud seeding planes went up on Monday 🎉
it wasnt cloud seeding
keep cloud seeding, cant play god and not expect consequences
conspiracy theories are through the roof since covid 19 🤪
Water warfare is the future of war
My thoughts exactly,.
This is not cloud seeding it is climate change
It has nothing to do with clouds seeding, clould seeding can not cause strom, only rain in partial area.
Am I the only one who couldn't care less?
No!
Nope
All from Atlantic weather engineering. Some of us know how rotten the system has become.
Atlantic? It's nowhere near there, it's caused by local cloud seeding.
STOP GEOENGINEERING
Nah
This is the side effects of cloud seeding
Impossible, clould seeding are used to squeeze light cloulds in local area. These are heavy cloulds, they dont need to be seeded to rain
Or maybe the side effects of Anthropomorphic Global Warming? Who knows.
Ah so that’s why it stopped raining for a day in the uk
😂😂😂
Geoengineering 💦
This could have all been avoided if they paid carbon taxes like Canada😂😂😂😂
Heaviest rainfall in 75 years
Typical Sky news
It's not only Sky News, the whole media says the same thing, regardless whether it's local, regional, or international.
If I'm not mistaken there was an official statement by the authorities in 🇦🇪 UAE, and naturally it would be shared and forwarded to all media.
Anyhow, it's rather accurate since data collection for weather in 🇦🇪 UAE began in 1949, hence the 75 years reference.
Check the dried rain drops on your car , full of micro metals !!
So everyone gonna be taxed more to drive their cars then? 🤷
What do they expect when they couldn't be bothered to build a rainwater drainage system when they built the place!
Seems like they have as many drainage grids as they have brain cells.
There are but they get blocked up by sand. It only rains a few days of the year.
@@fdamanah it's like how the Burj Khalifa doesn't have working sewerage, they build all these shiny building but forget the infrastructure to make it work.
well, it is in the middle of the desert!

Just like living in Manchester (🇬🇧 UK).....this is the norm.....it fookin 🌧 a lot....😂😂😂
Except Manchester is not in the desert...
All the British expats brought that weather with them 😂
Ppl in dubai be like, what is this water coming out of the sky? Its usually only in my pool.
Worst storm since 75 years … it rained so much 75 years ago without cloud seeding ? How’s that possible.
It's been released in the media (at least local and regional) that data collection for weather in 🇦🇪 UAE began in 1949, hence the 75 years reference.
Naturally, this info was shared with and then used by international media.
Its cloud seeding.
Yep, over the Atlantic by military planes.
Cloud seeding
Mess with nature, nature messes back!
Geo engineering
Ah, global warming. Of course.
And the cause of the similar rains 75 years ago? Global warming as well...?
Funny, 75 years ago we didn't have Cloud seeding or Global warming to blame. Now we do... Of course, one of these two has been proven to increase the likelihood of intense storms. (Clue, it isn't cloud seeding)
Well they have been messing with weather by intentional seeding for increasing the rain to allow for the cities they want to build.
Thought they wanted to control the weather? Control it habibi
Stopped watching when they started interviewing the influencer.
I skipped past that advert
Poor drainage for a country that spent a fortune making it a living place.

75 years ago, what reason was given for the heavy flooding?
This is called BRITISH 🇬🇧 WEATHER 🌦️
Well.. they shouldn’t mess with the weather
Welcome to the cement retaining pond of Dubai.
It's more of a cesspool than a pond
Still going?
Stop play God and mess up with nature. No to cloud seeding.
All show with no drainage system!
No surprise
Camels in the desert are now dreaming of owning boats.
Just pray the water receeds. Amen
guess they have a use for all the G wagons now
Wow the ground water reservoirs will be refilled
So they have been doing some rain seeding
Oh well.
*This was one big storm!*
Although people knew it was coming; no one expected it would be that powerful.
By the 13th of April, there were already news and notifications about a low-pressure system deepening over the Arabian Peninsula and a flow of moist tropical air moving into the Gulf region. Also, weather forecast in weather apps was showing thunderstorms on the following days.
It started on Sunday, 14 April, over eastern 🇴🇲 Oman, but then it was spreading and moving westward and northward. By Monday's afternoon (15 April), it was already raining in 🇧🇭 Bahrain, 🇶🇦 Qatar, 🇦🇪 UAE, and the Eastern Province of 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia.
Due to the exceptionally unstable weather conditions, and as precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students, employees, and the public in general, the following decisions were announced:
• Weather alerts and warnings were issued by authorities of the aforementioned countries.
• Ministries of education in 🇴🇲 Oman, 🇶🇦 Qatar, and 🇦🇪 UAE, announced that classes in public and private schools must work remotely and switch to distance learning on Tuesday.
• In 🇧🇭 Bahrain, the Ministry of Education announced that classes will be suspended on Tuesday in public and private schools, as well as higher education and kindergartens.
• Similar measures were taken in the Eastern Province of 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia.
• Authorities in 🇶🇦 Qatar and 🇦🇪 UAE asked government employees to work from home if possible.
By Tuesday (16 April), the heavy thundery showers and strong winds continued, but by the afternoon it was moving away from 🇧🇭 Bahrain, 🇶🇦 Qatar, and 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia.
It was more like a series of intense thunderstorms with torrential rain, hail in some areas, and squalls, and it lasted for at least two days.
Lastly, data collection for weather in the 🇦🇪 UAE began in 1949, hence the 75 years reference.
Keep pumping that oil. It'll get better for sure lol
The rain technology is great
Oh no, not the diamond-encrusted Bentleys 😏
Glad to see Dubai continue with there life's regardless of the 🌊 flood always stay positive
Electric vehicles in the storm? How do electricity vehicles make it during floods?
Ecclesiastes 1:1-2

2 Vanity of vanities, said Ecclesiastes vanity of vanities, and all is vanity.
"There is nothing new under the son" "all is vanity"
Limited impact: Cloud seeding aims to increase rainfall slightly in existing clouds, not create entirely new storms.
Local effects: Even if cloud seeding was done, it would only cause rain in the targeted area, not widespread flooding across the region.
Interesting how many here have jumped on the "It was cloud seeding - don't mess with nature" without knowing much about how cloud seeding actually works.
Ironic also that the real messing with nature which is more likely involved here is fossil fuels and greenhouse gases. Something which Dubai has done it's fair share of. Also something that most of the folks blaming cloud seeding would deny is happening.
Blessings for the souls of those who died and their families
Think i will have cheese on toast, maybe tomato too

Knock, knock, sounds like the infamous mad cow disease saga.
Old Vincey is a celebrated weather expert and too much rain can cause flooding because of the water
I hope there was a mistake in calculating the cloud seeding because the idea that it's a natural phenomenon is even more frightening. If it is natural, we might face a scorching summer and a winter with potential flooding, which would make the city inhospitable.
Cloud seeding F UP LOL
Tanker trucks had immense trouble removing sewage to the desert!
So serious in dubai 😢
Make the most of it (SAVE IT ).
How strange
maybe they shouldn't of been cloud seeding so much they openly admit to doing it, this time it went wrong. and that's what happens playing god with weather.
Shouldn’t HAVE not OF

They said they where CLOUD SEEDING - pretty much what has been happening since October in the UK............
All drains blocked with sand like the reporter said
Global warming I thought we supposed to have sun not rain?
Cool shots of the buildings at the end.
Reminds me of scenes from Bladerunner and Batman \ Gotham... .the dystopian future is here.
They finally got a rain maker immigrant over there. Congratulations Dubai, congratulations.
I have just had my first dose of the climate change vaccine and already I can see the environment around me improving
They just need to turn the tap off
Their artificial islands may be sinking with this amount of rain
I heard they tried to make it rain by cloud seeding ..
12 months of rain
I was about to buy one of the artificial islands but is already sinking

Where is the Instagram about that?
Nothing to do with climate change here people. We should keep burning carbon and messing with nature. Be thankful Sunak is pro motorists not the environment

Cloud seeding works well but they didnt think about drainage 🎉
Lightening, flooding = judgment???!
0:28 "but scientists say"... what scientists?
Good job this happened after 75 years. Imagine if they had to deal with this annually. Won’t have a country left with this non existing drainage system
They're dishonest 😢.
Just imagine if this continues for 2 days country will be vanishee
It’s their fault for playing with Mother Nature
Sorry guys , my fault for eating a steak last week and farted slightly too much
Why is this global news?
