    Fortunately, this video is out of date. Although the basic principles still apply, CRE and many carbapenem resistant pathogens have several good treatment options with newer BL and BL/BLI drugs. Progress is still needed however with metallo beta-lactamase producing organisms, and certain pathogens Iike acinetobacter.

      ampc is part of the gene that code for the ampc enzyme. it is cause by a mutation in an ampA strain that resulted in reduced resistance was then designated ampC
