I have one of these in gold, but it has a black dial with white inset dials and the white tachy surround. My most favourite of them all.

Bought the gold plated toptime model 2000 in 1966 it still keeps perfect time, I use the chronograph rarely , just to make sure it still runs ok.
For me Breitling is the watch to have, pure class.

It was Christmas eve 1968 I was a journalist and we had put the paper to bed. We adjourned to the local pub (in UK). That morning my faithful old Timex had died. I left my pint and walked over the road to the local jewelers to buy another Timex. I was looking at Timex models when I thought as it was Christmas I might treat myself and asked to be shown something a little better. The jeweler produced a Breitling. After the initial price shock, I thought, why not. I have owned my Top Time 810 reverse panda for 55 years now. Great watch. Toppie is currently in Switzerland being serviced. She will probably last another 55 years....... I won't.

Beautiful watch, i have one exactly the same. The only item I have of my fathers which i treasure and will be left to one of my sons when i kick the bucket. Until then i'll wear it every now and then and remember him with great fondness.
    Wonderful review by the way.

Beautiful timepiece and you're right...incredible value for the money. But, more importantly for me anyway...just more pure enjoyment. I feel like a lot of people go towards the Rolexes, Patek's, etc. on the vintage market because they see them as more "investments." I never look at my purchases that way...I'm in this because I enjoy the watches, the brands, the history...and Breitling's are just amazing watches. Great video Anthony...keep up the great work and content. Stay safe my friend

Hey Michael! I hope you and the family are safe and healthy. So many amazing vintage chronographs out there some of which the brands are no longer around. They can be had at such amazing prices. Going to do a review of my Wakmann which can be found for under 3k and has a Val730 movement. That movement is almost the the same movement that’s in a Paul Newman.

Great synopsis. I have the same model also in gold plating with same pushers but with a “reverse panda” black dial (Thunderball). It’s actually 36 mms. Fred MB assisted me with my purchase. The crown on mine however has the B on the side. Note your’s doesn’t... possibly after market?

Interesting about the crown, I’d have to look into it. Being such a big distributor of Breitling I’m sure they swap parts all the time

Nice piece! Isn't it 36mm? I've got a reverse panda 2003 in stainless steel, also with flat pushers. These are very collectible & underrated & even qualify as a Bond watch!

They’ve made so many toptimes ive lost track! Lol. It could be 35mm I don’t think mine is larger than that.

I think that you are definitely right in what you have said in a few videos now: vintage Breitling timepieces are a ton of value right now and have so much heritage!! Killer Top Time!!

I'm not much of a Breitling fan but this one looks great, I've been looking into a few vintage pieces lately but mostly Omega and Longines.

Vintage Longines are amazing! Take a look a some Breitlings if you can. I think you’ll enjoy them.
