Education has fallen so badly, that in my work life, adults wrote their phone numbers in the space for zip codes. Some could not spell “son” or “daughter “. They confused sun and son. And most didn’t know their mother’s maiden or grandmother’s name and so forth. But, they graduated from high school. And now you expect them to read? It’s so very sad. But they pronounce the words in rap and hip hop songs whether they can spell them or know not. We lived in the library. We wrote book reports with bibliographies. I don’t have children so I don’t know what is really happening in the school system. I just know what I see.

Thank you, Drs. Black and Carr!! I LOVE your energy and this subject!! I question how is it that America, being so consumed by racism, doesn't acknowledge the accomplishments of Black billionaires (she glorifies those of different hues) even though America is classified as a 'capitalist country'? If anything, she tries to tear them down! If you ask me, it's obvious that this has nothing to do with our capability to assimilate but more to do with the color of our skin and its constant reminder to caucasian Americans of what they still OWE our people!!
BTW, we won't PRAY for this 'sinking ship'!!!💯

At 56:32 Dr. Black said we have used the majority of our energy trying to transform other people". We do claim that we influence other people to be "cool". If the claims or complaints of cultural appropriation are valid, then we do have influence on them. Maybe we have not been successful in making them more just and kind. Is that because we have not been just and kind enough ourselves? Dr. Carr said something about the respect for law, only existing where there is violent repercussions, attached to it. Is this why so many of our communities are in a high state of violence? Forget about repercussions, the question may be, does there first exist a standard by which people are to be held accountable for? One has to ask this question, when today people can say that us killing on another is "not a thing". What does that say about the value we place on our lives, as we, out the other side of our mouths, proclaim to the world that our lives matter - period!
Beyoncé would do well to bring this to the attention of Black people, rather than African belief practices, that most people will never adopt, let alone be willing to try to understand. Dr. Black said he did not want to leave by himself, but that everyone is not going to go anyway. He said he wanted to go with others. That begs the question, how many does he need to go with him? It is likely, more probable that, more people would join later, if something was first established - the "if you build it, they will come" idea.
Atlanta was once thought of as a oasis of Black living in America, but it has an equal percentage of Black people living at or below the poverty line, and has as high a crime rate as most other cities we live in, in large numbers. Black people have been heard saying for decades our people sell deadly and debilitating drugs to one another, in a violent manner, to survive. Why have we let this terrible self-destructive attitude become engrained in our thinking/culture? Terms like OG, dope, ride-or-die reinforce the acceptance of self-destruction. Dr. Black said we should trust another Black person if we have to trust anyone. We should be able to trust each other, but with our history and cointelpro, how can we? Why should we, when accusation have been hurled, at so many of our top leaders. The contradictions that so many today exhibit, as with the retreat from demonstrating that we value our lives are glaring. Many today take a counter stance to the Hip-Hop 'Stop The Violence Movement' in the 80's, and the slogan 'Us Killing Us Equals Genocide' coined by the late Congressmen from Md. Parren J. Mitchell, in the 90's. The stark divide between Black Liberals and Conservatives, and the proliferation of even more groups and ideologies, all vying for the hearts and souls of Black people - claiming to be the answer to all our problems, and declaring to us who we really are as a people, does not give me any reasons to trust anyone. Trust today must be earned. To even talk about collective economics, while we are in this state of disarray, is folly.
Black people as a group, are from my perspective, the most free people, in the world. We have no binding collective identity, and so we are free to become who and what we want to be. We are the free agents of humanity - the Chameleon-People. We have the most integrated communities in the world, with all the variety of values, beliefs, and income levels that exist among us, in the many communities of ours, that are racially segregated. Many of these communities, if not most are dysfunctional.
If we are to be honest and ponder our history, and if we must apply some spiritual or mystical meaning to it, which many already do, we should consider that we are destined, to not see and think of ourselves as a distinct people - to not be a distinct people. The purpose of this might be, to be an example to the rest of humanity that, to separate ourselves from each other by tribes, ethic groups, nations, and races, is archaic, and unworthy of the spiritual, evolved, enlightened, and or godly beings, we profess to be. If I have to go by what I'm seeing with Black people in the U.S., I'm more inclined to give my time and energy to this universal identity goal, than to any other of which, so many Black people, would have me identify with/as, and aspire to achieve.
I would advise Black people to use the same process that was used to build the pyramids, in trying to achieve whatever goals you have. Take it one step at a time, and very small steps at that. We have been doing the opposite - putting the cart before the horse, when we have not been trying to reinvent the wheel. Focus on fundamentals and prerequisites first and always. Build strength of unity faster, by attempting a more easily achievable goal. This would be a simple test of our ability to unite at all. Once proven, more difficult problems will be viewed as less challenging.
Lastly, It follows logically that a systemic force working against you, requires at the least, a highly, coordinated response from you, to counter it. Neeley Fuller Jr. and the late Dr. Francis Cress Welsing already established that basic sound logic, even if their detailed prescription may be too simplistic, in some regards. There should be no argument that a coordinated effort is needed, to overcome this force of opposition, if one sees this as the nature of their reality/problem.

How much value does the notion that we built this country have, if we have not built anything of our own lately? Another point is were we the designers of this country the architects? Was it our vision? Do we want to claim that? If it wasn't us, it would have been all white indentured servants and or native Americans, who would have served as the majority labor to physically construct this country and grow its economy.

As a Ghanaian and African, what I hear from this and see from the black people coming to Ghana and Across Africa. Is a repetition of Liberia and Sierra Leone, are white narcissist, carpetbaggers, exceptionalist settler colonialist in black skins, coming to Africa to colonise a space and a territory for themselves, just like the white colonialist and black colonialist did across Africa, including Liberia and Sierra Leone. Colonisation and chattel slavery were the same kind of violence in different places. About 4 million Africans arrived in the Americas as slaves with a fraction in the US, the majority arrived in Brazil. And about 5000 were lynched to death in the US. but in Africa the whole continent was enslaved and in Congo alone 15 million were worked, lynched and butchered to death. And since 1996 8 million Congolese have also been murdered due to US special operations to secure the natural resources for western multinational companies.
My issue with black people (black American and Black British especially), is they come with the same exceptionalist European mentality, behaviour, mannerism, outlook and socialisation. They think and feel their experience is superior to all others and Africans should be subordinated to their narrative, that is no different to the white settler colonialist, we distribute Dr. Robin DiAngelo book and lecture on White Fragility and educate Africans to understand that if they substitute white people in that book and lecture for black people and substitute black people for Africans, we get the exact same result. Black people are victims at home in the US and perpetrators of imperialism and violence abroad, so from the African perspective black people are no different from white people. Black people have always fought shoulder to shoulder with whites to kill other brown a black people for American corporations. Barack Obama and Susan Rice organised and orchestrated the invasion of Libya, expanded AFRICOM to hold Africa under military occupation and half of the soldiers in AFRICOM bases across Africa are black people. So as an African listening to black people about their oppression by the people they stand shoulder to shoulder to keep us under military occupation, invade our countries at will and assassinate our leaders and population at will. I can't help to wonder what hypocrites and double propaganda talkers the same as their white country men.
To me its seems African lives are the meal ticket and career pathways for black people, a way to demonstrate their country men to get congressional medals of honour, purple hearts and entry into white spaces. From Collin Powell to Susan Rice, Barack Obama, Lloyd J. Austin III and Linda Thomas-Greenfield black people have been the foot soldiers of perpetrating violent imperialism on Africa and they dare to double talk their hypocrisy, by claiming to be victims and needed to come to Africa. No we don't need Franz Fanon's Black Skin, White Mask as trojan horses and another imperialist, settler colonial and enslavers in our midst. We are no longer local illiterate tribes, we know and understand who black people are (Americans in every being of their nature) and we don't want them here. We would fight all imperialist black, white, Yellow and collaborators within our tribes.
We know our elites perpetrating pan Africanism and the right of return of black people on us Africans are functional illiterate collaborators. Because the only attitude of black people towards Africans is the same as their white countrymen towards us, EXCEPTIONALISM AND SUPERIORITY OF THEIR HISTORICAL NARRATIVE TOWARDS OUR HISTORICAL NARRATIVE, TRIBAL IDENTITY, TRIBAL HOMELANDS AND OUR ANCESTORS. WE ARE NOT THE SAME PEOPLE, BLACK PEOPLE ARE AMERICANS IN EVERY BEING OF THEIR NATURE, REASONING, VALUES, CELEBRATIONS, SOCAIL STRUCTURES, CULTURAL POINTS OF REFERENCE AND SOCIALISATION, PRATICALLY IDENTICAL TO WHITE AMERICANS. THIS IS EVIDENT IN ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE CLAIMING TO COMING TO THE MOTHERLAND, THEIR CHARACTERISTICS, VALUES, BEHAVIOURS, REASONING, NARCISSICISM AND ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY IS NO DEFFENT TO THE WHITE SETTLER COLONIALIST AND BLACK ETTLER COLONIALIST OF LIBERIA. THEY ARE ALL AGENTS OF THE US STATE DEPARTMENT, BECAUSE THEY ARE AMERICANS IN THE PROJECT FOR THE RECOLONIZATION OF AFRICA OUR TRIBAL HOMELAND, LIKE THEY DID WITH THE AMERICAN COLONISATION SOCIETY IN THE FIRST YEAR OF RETURN IN LIBERIA AND NOTHING ELSE. US imperialist, invasions, assassinations and military destabilization in Africa today are run by enthusiastic black people from the top of the Pentagon and the UN to the boots on the ground operatives are full of enthusiastic black people, happy to kill Africans, invade African countries and destabilize African countries for the benefit of corporate America, because they are Americans first and in every nature of their being. Black people are first class hypocricrites claiming to be victims of their country men they stand shoulder to shoulder in killing us for corporate America. From WWI to Libya black people have killed and put their lives on the line for the white countrymen, the only black people who fought and died to defend their fellow Africa are black CUBANS, so they are the only black people welcomed in Africa into our tribal homelands as our kinsfolk, because they have proven themselves as our kinsfolks by standing with us and shedding their blood in our defence.
From every horizon, our military, colonial, imperialist, economic and cultural existential threat is full of black foot soldiers, diplomats, politicians and academics standing shoulder to shoulder with their white country men in their determination to recolonise us and genocide us off our tribal and ancestral lands. Black people are the forefront Trojan horses, in their enthusiastic psych-op roles of belonging in collaboration with our treacherous elites.
