I don't know that it is totally possible to portray a person accurately in two hours, but, the movie definitely put Leigh Tuohy upon a pedestal, and built the other characters around her. Over time, Michael Oher has made it known that there were indeed some things that were changed in the movie, which, in truth, is no big surprise. movies are made to entertain, and make money. I am NOT saying anything disparaging against Leigh Tuohy. I don't know her. Honestly? if she is one tenth the person she was portrayed as, I pity anyone who runs afoul of her. Oh- and one more thing- Sandra Bullock can act the hell out of any character!
Don't know about Sandra Bullock, but her Alma Matter speech was epic. Tuohy gave the commencement address at Christian Brothers University on May 14, 2010. She also received an honorary degree from the university during its commencement ceremony for her commitment to the less fortunate and her ongoing quest to recruit others to make a difference
