Literature Evangelism & George King | Episode 23 | Season 2 | Lineage

In 1849, Ellen White's husband, James White travelled to Middletown, Connecticut with copies of the Present Truth. It was here that he took the steps to become a global publishing ministry. This was the start of literature evangelism, which has been key to spreading the gospel all over the world. Many years later, James met a young man named George White, who was desperate to become a preacher. After many years to failure, he eventually became a fireside preacher, and it was here that he persuaded publishers to create special books to be used in the homes that he was visiting.

I first started literature evangelism at an Adventist college in 2011. This work changed my life for the better. It helped me see that God can use anyone to help spread the gospel.
I still partake in the canvassing work as I have opportunity and it’s always amazing to know that people receive truth-filled books as a result of God working with me.

Praise God! I was a full-time pioneer preacher at the age of 19. I was like such, one day I preached with my female bible teacher Ms. Bing Lee with only one dollar coin in my own pocket. I was able to distribute all the magazines from my preaching bag. I was very happy. God doesn't change, as we read in the bible. It's so important that we obey God's Word the bible at all times, concentrating on heavenly things rather than earthly materials, because we fully trust God our Sovereign Provider, a Spirit not a human being. Now I am able to teach university to support my own sister and her son in the congregation. God uses me. I hope God uses more preachers who are willing to devote themselves as Isaiah the prophet, to be sent by God for all good virtuous works.
