Can anyone tell me why they are using a doubles net for singles matches in the masters event whereas they use the singles net in the grandslams ? Is it a scheduling thing where in masters events they are tightly packed owing to the event being only 1 week and in grandslams u have more time between matches to change the nets as its a two week event and the matches are not as tightly packed ?
Hi :) There are a lot of masters matches in which they are using a singles net, but, it's more common in Grand Slams because doubles matches aren't usually played on centre courts (except for the final), which doesn't make the organizers stretch the net all the time.
