It's not a very good game, but it's soundtrack is pretty amazing. Watch the fans hate on me.
I actually loved the game granted I doubt I could go back and play it but the OST is in the top 20. It's not a bad game people just hated the art style, this game plays a lot like xenoblade, last story and a few others but those are loved by so many people.
This also came out in a time where JRPG's where in a unpopular stage in gaming.
I got it a month ago and never heard of it, just looked at the cover and said yes... I am getting that.

they say its bad cause they dont get it... they think yeha big eyes anime japan and for me as a european i loved fairy tales hell i even just bought again peter pan im 24 and my generation see the potential on these types of games :D i felt again as a kid when i played this game every aspect the immersive world characters i felt like when i first read peter pan, hansel and gretel and stuff :D

Honestly a lot of people when it first came out weren’t big fans of creating a character for the character to be relegated to more or less a side kick in the story. I just seem to remember that not being popular with a lot of people. They more or less thought that character should be MP only and not even in the single player if they’re just a mute side character. The only reason I didn’t get the second one is because I got my hopes up too high on this game and had dreams of Escaflowne and in hindsight it’s my fault for expecting too much because it does have some cool escaflowne stuff
So nostalgic the song is so iconic.
I listened to this shit when I was in middle school when the game came out, and of course I got bullied because why would any 12 years old listen to this kind of masterpiece.

I had my play station 3 ruined for more than 10 years, I remembered this game from the soundtrack but I didn't remember the name. Thanks to a friend I was able to fix my console and finally remember the game. What nostalgia it brings me 😢

All I've been doing is nothing but enjoying White Knight Chronicles. I've yet to complete it but so far I've no idea why this game didn't get good reviews.
I just started it. I think its awesome in multiple ways. Cant stop playing it despite the servers being shut down years ago (which is kinda depressing)
Probably because to them when they're make a custom character, they expect he/she will be the MC in the main story (like Mass Effect for example) but no, so they're disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, I love WKC, I just wish my custom character could be more than just a background character/watcher, making a real difference in the story.
@@richmonm2368yeah I feel you. That was kind of jarring when I played it over a decade ago. I wish your multiplayer character was just completely separate from the story cause it does suck they’re just some side character.

This game is amazing especially if your in a guild it's fun asf and you can create your own knight too. Sucks that the server is shut down feels bad

I wasnt sure about this game. Hearing this changed my mind. Then i saw the battling is like FF11 (my fave game ever). The art style in the FMVs rival any ps4 game imo. Depressing im late to the party and could never experience the city bulding and online multiplayer

@@chelimix4580 yea i got the remaster with second game included but never finished the first. I got to a place with windwalkers called baccea i think before i stopped. Also buulding didnt seem to work at all for me everything just pointed to geonet iirc

@SythKohore if your talking about the first then i whole heartedly agree, but the second game seems to have fixed that to some degree, they tried something and didnt really work that well. In my opinion you should give them credit though, in most games most "summons" are ether, not much cost, or overpowered

Longest game ever made. I just beat it. Combining the time from the first game, it took me 3-4 months because I'm not too good with these kinds of games. Plus, it kinda took me some time that the spear role was a tank and didn't play too well on the offensive.
i think i have to disagree with you there. while its true its not the best game ive played (and ive played a fair few), I think this had one of the most interesting worlds ive seen, with good graphic to back it up. Also, the characters are great, who cant love ceaser. And adding an avatar character was a stroke of genius. Overall, I believe this game has made my top 20 list :)
In regards to Rober Wheelers topic, this is kinda just simple fantasy in a sense. The knights are awesome though. It's just simple fun to pas the time. As for not having an online, it's cuz the second game has the first one included with it now, so there's no point keeping it when the second game has both versions.

@Karzz1991 i'm totally in agreement here! the only reason i stopped playing is that the knight's are shown to be something without equal but really they are useless. without them the game is faster. i mean you lose all your MP after transforming back, the knight Mp acts as stamina and when it's 0 in a battle that requires them it's game over. they are so under-powered it's ridiculous! i'm doing 3x more D P S as human then in form of the knight! looks over functionality much Level 5, really?

oh come on... Watching the cut scenes waiting for your character to show up with a blank look on their face was amazing (I joked he was sitting around eating cake while the drama was going down). Then I put everybody in Red capes and matching armor (this was expensive, but made everything that much more epic). This game was only as much fun as you the player made it, I had a blast even though the servers were down :)

"designed for children" yeah because pretty much this is a children's game but a 50 year old man like you must not understand the rating system so therefore let me give a brief explanation. E = For Everyone, E10 = Children 10 years old, T = Teens but also for children(I'm guessing the children playing this game had parental guidance) but usually cartoon graphics don't bother simple minded teenagers, M = For Mature Adults but children also play these.
NIce song for a game tat wasnt soo good. Really suck tat the server closed down when i only started playing for about a weeks online.
Such wasted potential in this game... It could have been a flawless gem had it not been for the US getting hardly any of the DLC.

@Michael Otten Playing through it now, and I have be revisiting every zone backwards... what the fuck, please tell me I will get to some new zones soon XD They threw all the new assets into the first forest with four seasons!
