Sir Christopher, how is it that I just found you today??? Now I need to go back from #1 and binge-watch them all (I'm up to #11)!!! What a gift you are to our community! Thank you for being you! Keep on stitchin'!❤
This is the first of your floss tubes I’ve watched, after hearing about it on Uplift Stitches, and I’ll definitely be adding it to my stitchy viewing lineup. Thank you for sharing your stories, time, and beautiful projects-so inspiring! (And I too love the word ‘fortnight’😊)
So good to see your new video up. Thanks for sharing all of your WIPs - they’re all so lovely as are Mary and Gather. Have a fun trip - enjoy your time away.
Just wanted to say Thank you! for telling us about the DMC to DMC conversion. I live 50 miles from a store that sells thread and needed a color I didn't have. You saved my day!
Hey! Chris, Great video. The ornaments on the silver paper are gorgeous. Love 💗 your story telling. The toys bring back so many good memories. We will GATHER again after you return from your trip.
Hello Chris! Lovely ornament plans . Super excited to see your respective trees. 😍 I completely agree that we are all survivors that can relate in these ways of hurt, adaptability in difficult situations, and then hopefully triumphs as we're more at the helm as we grow and age. ❤ One of the biggest triumphs is rising above and not repeating cycles, in my view. Much love! ❤️🩹
I love your thread bobbin solution! A couple of years ago, I was gifted with a huge supply of DMC, and invested in a hanging thread system by Pip and Chip. It was spendy, but has made such a huge difference when kitting up projects. And it makes my ocd heart very happy. ☺ Thank you for everything you share.
So happy to have you back. I look forward to each new episode. I love works of cross stitch that include an alphabet. Will look forward to your next episode, but have a great trip
I have stitched many of those ornaments on metallic perforated paper. They were stitched with Caron Watercolors. I was probably stitching those in the mid to late 90’s…time flies. Loved your section about the toys…it’s important to tell our stories and I love that you do that here.
I enjoyed your video so much with the Toy Chest it brought back so many memories for me. I am 65 years old and I still love toys. I use to play with the Weebles they were so much fun because they never fell down. Love your channel and enjoy your trip. See you in a month.
Thank you Chris for your video and a revisit of the toy chest. It was so nice to see Sal again, love his side glances at you and of course hand standing cat. 🐱 I always find it so satisfying when you find floss storage that works for you, It makes you feel so happy . I am not sure if it is being neat and organised or just seeing all the colours that does it but I found it made me feel so accomplished. I use Annie's keepers and hang them all in a filing cabinet drawer. Everything in one place just does it. You are stitching up a storm and as usual all beautiful. See you soon.
Thanks for the delightful visit! Your Toy Chest segment brought back fond memories of shopping for birthday and Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews. At the time most of these children were born, I managed the pre-school section of a huge toy warehouse/store. I admit to playing one of the Fischer Price music boxes each morning, upon arrival, an audio hello to my boss to let him know I had arrived. Your stitching is beautiful! Your listener who shared the ornaments on the metallic paper did a really nice job. When perforated paper first came on the market I remember making angels, stitching the body and head and the wings were made of paper ribbon. Wishing you safe travels and looking forward to when we can again gather with you. Mary would like to come too.
I love this time of year in the northeast for the fact that there is so much time available for creative pursuits. It makes the cold and snow worth suffering through (smile). Your reindeer is stunning; I stitched it over 2 several years ago strictly because I had a small velvet pillow that I wanted to mount it on. It's one of my favorite finishes. Of course, now I'm thinking it would be fun to also stitch it over one so I could have it ornament sized on my tree... I loved the Toy Box section.. it was a fun review (hair styles and all!) 🪡👠
Hi Chris! I am Paola from Italy! I am a rather new subscriber. I joined when you came back to Flosstubeland. I really enjoy your videos, because it's not only about XStitch, there is some deep thinking here. Your english is perfect, I like the words you use to describe your stitching. Being a girl born in 1970 I loved the toy's chest segment. It is true that we kids were plating for hours and hours. I rememeber that I wanted the Barbie house as a Christmas gift, and my family gave me the Happy Family House with the Happy Family people. Not very glamourous, indeed! I am a bobbinator too and I keep my bobbins in the floss boxes, neat and protected from dust, easily availabl when I have to kit something new. I love your new bobbins with the numbers. Happy Stitching!
Such a great video, my friend. I will always love toys. I love this segment of your videos. And Christmas Eve, I will always continue to check the skies for Santa. No matter how old I get ❤❤
It made me happy when you showed the floss box. I got a good size box of floss from my sister. The 911 stitcher showed a box on her channel from Amazon. I bought it and wound a good amount on bobbins and put them in order. Its a lot of work because I don't have the winder. I remember the weebles whobble jingle but didn't have any. Have a great vacation!
Just discovered your channel back in January thanks to Floss Bossin' Cousins. I love your ornaments. I have some of the same ones. Your Toy Chest brought back a lot of memories of my kids playing with some of those same toys. Mary, gather, alphabet
Great Floss tube! Loved the Toy Chest recall of old videos…makes me appreciate even more why I follow your journey with Cross Stitch❤ On my recent visit to World in Stitches shop I purchased my first Mill Hill kits, thanks to you. Looking forward to giving those beads a try. Have a great time on your upcoming trip. Bet you are busy trying to gather all your cross stitch travel projects. Think I’ll get back to stitching this alphabet on my current sampler.
G’day Chris. Thank you for another wonderful video. Congrats on your finishes, you have certainly been busy. I loved revisiting Chris’s Toy Chest again, especially seeing the adorable SAL. I miss his cuteness so I hope you will bring him back. Things haven’t changed so much in your postings since you started (apart from the hair styles) I have been a part of your neighbourhood since your very first Flosstube video and look forward so much to our visits. You are so humble and definitely deserving of the praise and gifts you receive. You are a gift to us in sharing your life, wisdom and humour. Never change Chris. You are one of the good ones. Have a safe trip and I look to seeing you again soon. Take care and lots of love from Down Under. 😘💕🫂🪡🧵🇦🇺
Another fantastic video. The "Chris's Toy Chest" brought back so many memories. My siblings and I also had many of those toys growing up. My grandmother's name was Mary and I'd love to stitch that. Enjoy your trip-safe travels to you.
As always a fun and interesting video. I will date myself when I tell you how much my two boys (now 51 and 45) loved weebles and Fisher price toys . 😊They and their friends loved to gather in the living room and play for hours. Their imaginations were amazing! 😄 Enjoy your trip. We just got back from an Eastern Caribbean cruise. It was fabulous. ❤
The toy segment is awesome. We are I am guessing similar age because I remember all that and more because you know I am a girl. Barbie, bionic woman barbie, I had a crawling doll in the 1970's and I loved her so much. Chris you are so very special. Thank you for bringing up such wonderful memories.
Hi Chris I enjoyed the visit tonight and looking back at some of your older videos. Its always fun to look back. I love the ornament on the gold and silver paper.I bet they were fun to stitch. Enjoy your trip. I will be here waiting for your next video when you get back. Hope we get to hear about your trip. Take care safe travels and happy stitching.
Thank you so much for the information about your new floss storage approach! I also use bobbins, and am in need of an upgrade to my storage. I think it was definitely worth the investment, and I will be making that investment at some point in the future. It was also great to see the return of your toy chest. That was always one of my favorite segments from last year. It had me musing on my own childhood toys and games growing up. Always such a pleasure to return to your neighborhood.
Thanks for another great video! I appreciate your comments about how you are stitching your HAED piece. I am also going to start using extreme cross country to speed up the process. The Gather with Joy pattern is beautiful!
Ok - the hair - much needed time of joy and some deep laughter - not at the hair as at the rapidly changing looks! Then the music when you began to talk about the need to remain, in some ways, as children brought instant tears. Thank you for the gentleness that permeates your videos - we could use more of that (note to self).
Hi! That was a lot of fun, visiting with you and your stitching as well as the review of previous tou segments. We were lucky, lucky kids, Chris. Lucky kids. I hope all remains calm and seamless as you and yours gather your things for the trip. I wish you happy, safe travels.
I love the alphabet chart. I have never seen that before. Your WIP's are beautiful. Oh.. the memories. I loved the Sears Christmas book. We would wait impstiently for it every year. And Spirograph is my favoritebtoy!
Your two, large WIPS are gorgeous. I loved the toy shop segment. I’m 72 and I had a stuffed Snoopy that I got in the late 60’s. I don’t remember what happened to that one but Macy’s had some special deal going and I got a second one just like the first one dressed in an engineer outfit. He sits on the dresser in my guest room. I also collected so many Snoopy porcelain Christmas ornaments in the 70’s and still have them. They sit on a tiered tray during the Christmas season. My two patriotic ones are out all year. And the Sears catalog! Oh my gosh we waited and waited for that to come out. We all adored it. Now my grandkiddos get the Amazon one and circle what they want. It’s not nearly as good as the Sears catalog. We had Lincoln Logs and the etch a sketch as well. Such good memories. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a good trip and stay safe wherever you are going.
Hello from Alabama … loved your French Country Reindeer … it’s just beautiful … tonight is my first time to watch your show … really enjoyed it … and all of your works are amazing … until next time … ❤️ Dena
Chris!! I have watched every single flosstube and anxiously looked forward to the next mother saga!! I have an estranged relationship with my son that he initiated.....no other words needed. I love the toys from your childhood!! I'm 10-15 years older but I can relate to weebles!! Isn't that a great way to look at our lives.....weebles wobble but they don't fall down! Sending hugs to you from Toledo Ohio Brenda
Your ornaments are always so pretty. Looks like you have a good start for next year's tree. I remember Weebles! The Toy Story was great. I love the word Gather. Marilyn
Hello from Tennessee! Well.... I knew I loved watching you, but now I know why. I'll need to go watch all your past videos and see the toys you loved. I have a couple toy collections myself. Do you remember Liddle Kiddles by Mattel? 😊. Thank you so much for sharing your time with us all. You are the highlight of my two weeks! Wowwww! You've just called my name as a prize winner. Thank you so so much! 💕.
I just finished watching all your episodes and loved it. I love your stories remind me of people I knew growing up in rural Arkansas. The toys you share are often ones my children had. You are the most entertaining floss tuber I've watched and the fact you have only a few WIPS is part of the reason. I can always tell what you have stitched on each one. I also like the variety you stitch. I do feel like you're a neighbor, someone I know their background and family and interests. I'm sad that you aren't filming every week but can understand how much work that is. Looking forward to our next visit.
Thanks for sharing. I so enjoy your videos! Mary. Gather. Alphabet. I use bobbins, too. To straighten your floss when taking it from the bobbin, get a very small container with a tight lid. For example, a tiny Tupperware container meant to hold a couple of tablespoons of salad dressing is perfect. Cut a small sponge that fills the container and dampen it with water. Take your DMC and pass it over the sponge while pressing it down like you would through a waxer. The floss will be straight as a pin! If you are using 2 threads, you can dampen them together and then separate them with your needle, and they will lay perfectly straight next to each other. I love this tip and use it always. Wash the sponge from time to time to keep it fresh. Happy stitching!
Hi again Chris, loved the look back on your toy chest segment. Gather, alphabet. See you when you get back if we don’t see you sooner, safe travels and happy stitching 😊🪡☃️
Thanks for the fun video and for the laughs. I enjoyed the montage of toy videos. I just showed some vintage Barbie clothes patterns from the '60's in my latest video. I love that kind of stuff!
So good to see you as always, life gets in the way and market is coming up!!! Are you keeping your eye on some goodies? Be safe on your trip we don’t want to send the Calvary! Hugs
Hi, Chris! “Tee-niney” is a Cajun term, also! 😂💙 Really, Christopher, you had me first, anxious, then laughing out loud, when you started talking about your “life change” @ 17:39! I am not a bobbinator, but I just love your new, orderly system for floss storage! It is both colorful and gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it with us. Loved the video! Meline
Hi chris. Great video. I love fruits of plenty. It is beautiful. The queen of hearts is very nice. I love that too.this is my first time see the "toy" segment. I remember all those toys ! Its so nice to be reminded of them. Our "toys" have changed over the years but we always need toys. I loved seeing all the hairstyles over the years too. You were very thin in those videos. You look much better now. Very handsome. ALPHABET
As always, loved spending this time with you. I have my floss stored in those bins - and regular bobbins do work fine - it does take two cases for a full set of DMC - they also have them (the cases) at Michaels and you might catch them on sale or you can use your coupon. Enjoy your trip! Safe travels
Ok, so you got me from the start…I REALLY thought we were gonna see a tap dance after the “pregnant pause”!!! Newish neighbor here, so I hadn’t see the toy chest segments. So many great memories you brought up for me: the Snoopy SnoCone maker with my Easy Bake oven, ColorForm and Shrinky Dinks, and the metal kitchen….oh the lives we built while playing with these things. And that doesn’t even begin to include the random sticks, hidey-holes and critters we had outside….no one watching our every move on a ring camera, making up our own stories everytime instead of watching something already created….cause cartoons were only on Saturday morning until noon!!! 😊😊 Thanks for the walk back in time!!!
I so look forward to watching you. Always entertaining and enjoyable. I Gather it’s still winter where you are but it felt like spring here in Maine today.
I loved your toy segment and oh the Covid hair segment was a hoot! I had it too! I’d love to gather my cross stitch things together and stitch the alphabet with Mary. Wonder what we will stitch? Happy days to you…love your channel. ☺️
I have my DMC stored in that exact container. I used the DMC plastic floss bobbins and they fit perfectly. It holds from 151 to 3866. I have the newer colors in a smaller floss box! You will love having everything in one container.
The "Gather with Joy" pattern is a perfect one for Thanksgiving, or any time. And yes, Chris, those ornaments are for you - sorry they were unfinished. The thread was Waterlilies by Caron.
Great episode as always Chris! The ornaments on the silver and gold perforated paper were stunning! The toy chest segment made me miss our friend Sal the puppet 😄
Great vlog again. I am glad you are a bobbinator too! We have a small company here in the UK called Pip and Chip who have manufactured bobbins for DMC threads they are super, they have the thread numbers and the colour of the thread on the tops. They are sized to fit into Bisley drawer cabinets. Needless to say I invested in the whole set up! Safe travels x
Hello friend! I love that bobbin and case idea for my DMC threads! Going to check it out for sure. Have a wonderful trip and see you when you return. Mary, Alphabet
I loved the revisited to the Toy Chest, it was so fun. We are all still kids at heart in my opinion, I downloaded the new Snoopy on my Apple Watch, it makes me happy to see him when I check the time. Snoopy and Woodstock. I sometimes wonder what Charles Schultz would think, Snoopy and his antics on a phone watch. What an age we live in! Have a wonderful time and see you on the next one! Gather
Hi Chris Lovely to see you and have a catch up. I love your new storage solution it’s brilliant, and being two sided is just happiness itself! I absolutely love MFE Fruits of Plenty, it’s stunning. It was lovely to see the Toy Chest back and I was very glad to see you had your magical 🧙🏽 powers back, both bring back happy memories of videos in the past. Hope you have a wonderful trip and look forward to seeing you soon. I have my fingers crossed as I love the Alphabet chart and it would be brilliant to stitch it. Take care my friend. 👵 x
Love your finishes and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Thanks for another inspirational video. You are a breath of fresh air. Gather

Stay safe Chris 💕
Oh, I love to bobbinate! I meditate and think about the color of the floss while winding on bobbins. It turns out there are no ugly colors!!
Great Floss tube! Loved the Toy Chest recall of old videos…makes me appreciate even more why I follow your journey with Cross Stitch❤

Thank you so much for doing that! I appreciate it so much! I hope you continue to enjoy the channel!!! xoxo Chris
Loving your floss organiser Chris, have a fabulous break away..loving Mary, gather Alphabet 😊
I love that toy segment! I have some of my toys in my cedar chest and they are from the 60's like me!
Mary, Gather, and Alphabet are 3 great words!
Enjoy your trip. Stay safe. I will look forward to the next video.❤❤❤❤😊
Nice selection of charts: Mary, Gather, Alphabet. :-) Loved the toy re-runs. :-)
🌞 always a ray of sunshine.
Love the stitching have a fun trip. See ya soon.
So good to see you as always, life gets in the way and market is coming up!!! Are you keeping your eye on some goodies? Be safe on your trip we don’t want to send the Calvary! Hugs
Thank you for another fun time episode! Safe travels.
Chris, you are so delightful. Love your videos! Thank you. 👏👏👏❤️🙏🏻
Hi Chris, my friend! Wow, I really like the Alphabet skating pattern. I have never seen it before. We will miss you, but have a wonderful trip! 💜💙
Loved the toy chest segment - lots of memories there.

Once again, another great video! I wish you would GATHER your thoughts & write a book about your life! It would definitely be a best seller for sure!!
I always look forward to your videos. They are so great. GATHER and ALPHABET
Hi Chris. I have 3 of the storage containers that you showed for floss storage. The plastic DMC bobbins fit in the storage container perfectly.
Thanks for the walk back in time!!!
Gather is the best part of Christmas
The Alphabet with it’s mittens is adorable ❤
I so look forward to watching you. Always entertaining and enjoyable. I Gather it’s still winter where you are but it felt like spring here in Maine today.
I loved your toy segment and oh the Covid hair segment was a hoot! I had it too! I’d love to gather my cross stitch things together and stitch the alphabet with Mary. Wonder what we will stitch? Happy days to you…love your channel. ☺️
Chris your video is always enjoyable. Have a great week😊
I have my DMC stored in that exact container. I used the DMC plastic floss bobbins and they fit perfectly. It holds from 151 to 3866. I have the newer colors in a smaller floss box! You will love having everything in one container.
I always have to stop and watch when I see you have posted a new video. Safe travels on your trip! ❤
The "Gather with Joy" pattern is a perfect one for Thanksgiving, or any time. And yes, Chris, those ornaments are for you - sorry they were unfinished. The thread was Waterlilies by Caron.
Thank you SO much! I love them!!! xoxo Chris
Great episode as always Chris! The ornaments on the silver and gold perforated paper were stunning! The toy chest segment made me miss our friend Sal the puppet 😄
Mary, gather, alphabet.
Blessings to you Chris!
I love your videos and projects.
Have a wonderful time away Chris.
Gather
Love your show. Have a safe and happy trip!
Love the toy section! Mary will always gather with her her friends to play the alphabet game!
Hi Chris
Lovely to see you and have a catch up. I have my fingers crossed as I love the
Alphabet chart and it would be brilliant to stitch it. Take care my friend. 👵 x
If I were to gather all the charts I own that contain the alphabet it would be quite a few. Loved the reprise of Chris's Toy Chest.
Chris another great video. Your toy chest brought back some really great memories. Have a safe trip in see you later in March. Gather
