    thanks mary, as a minimalist this was actually my favorite show of the season surprisingly! The fringe pumps with a more simple outfit is a nice pairing. Minimalists also play with playful pieces, but may not layer them on.

    • @MarysRoom
      @MarysRoom  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes fully agree, inserting a playful piece from this collection would work really well with a more minimal style❤

      Which is exactly why Chloe had success with shoes and purses back in the day. You match them with jeans and t shirt, and voila!

    You make a really good point of differentiating “bohemian”’from that 70’s Americana version vs the Parisian romantic look this collection really captured. It’s never been my style, but a style I wished I felt more a part of lol. That loose easy free spirit romantic vibe. Not Coachella style, but that Jane Birkin cool girl effortless style. I remember being obsessed back in the day when Stella was at the house. I loved those pineapple/horse print single shouldered tops and crystal encrusted flared denim.s….so Playful and whimsical. Loved when Stella went with liv Tyler to the met one year in custom Chloe Hanes tank tops and just looked like they were having a blast. You’re right again, this seems so different than anything else out there rn, and while I don’t think this whole look is making a total comeback, Chloe is going to do really well offering this style. Wondeful video, and I hope Chemena is here to stay for awhile.

      @MarysRoom  6 месяцев назад

      Ohh yes the Stella era was so good! Kind of the perfect fusion of Y2K but with that whimsical Chloe spirit. Honestly, Liv Tyler during that era is 90s moodboard dream. So excited to see where Chloe goes❤

    All of this show is beautiful - opulent but wearable, romantic but not saccharine. And the coats!! I'll be looking out for those. (And whoa wasn't expecting a Bat for Lashes reference! She is still creating incredible music, and has a record coming out in May!)

    I love this collection.
    I don't know if Boho is back because it's more a style than a trend (as you illustrated) but with Chemena, it's now on the forefront of the fashion conversation.
    What is great about this collection is that it's also very simple to strip those pieces down and imagine them for your wardrobe even if it's not your style.
    I particularly like the outerwear and i'm intrigued by the looks of the front row. They wore the Prefall collection (also designed by Chemena).
    She was clever to have those muses on the front row. This is the proof that her clothes can appeal to different age range.
    At a time where brands claims their heritage, the positive reviews for this collection proves that people missed Chloé being Chloé.

      Great point about style vs. trend, and boho as a style. Ohh I did not know that about the prefall collection, I'm trying to find out how to access that collection. Agree, its so nice for a brand to go back to its roots❤

    Great video Mary. I can see boho coming back, just not quite so all in. I'm thinking more of a mixture of pieces, like a flowing, frilly blouse, matched with a more structured skirt, or pants. I definitely don't see head bands, or that American gal vibe coming back, but perhaps a Parisian style would be the look.

    • @MarysRoom
      @MarysRoom  7 месяцев назад +3

      Yes I think there is a way to ease some of these pieces in a more flowy, relaxed pieces into our wardrobes. Thank you so much for watching❤

    Hi Mary! Great video 😊 I am ready for a bohemian revival, although Haute Boheme: as with interiors where it’s clearly sumptuous and luxurious, not “going to Coachella” bohemian of the 2010s. Something romantic and pulls inspiration from global cultures as well as fantasy, but does so in a modern, practical way. I love the styles shown here and
    the Chloé it-girls in attendance ❤ I agree with what you said about this being an in-between collection to wet the market’s appetite for boho again: as you said, you can definitely see the Phoebe Philo/YSL influences and I think you were spot-on about this working for a certain Khaite demographic. I love the return to softness and femininity. Personally, however, I don’t look great in oversized clothes so I’ll need to incorporate slimmer, more structured pieces into my wardrobe. A favorite look from the collection was that navy fur and leather long coat. Elegant, practical, vintage yet modern, powerful. I would love to get it for my mom-she’s 6’1” so she can pull it off and I can live vicariously through her 😅

    • @MarysRoom
      @MarysRoom  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I love the term Haute Bohemian not 2010s boho😬 Personally ready to inject some softer, feminine silhouettes and think they can transition well with almost any style. Thank you so much for the inspiration and watching Stella❤

    Such a fresh collection. I never thought I would love boho again but I am very intrigued. I’m a little older than you Mary, and was in my 30s in the 2010s. I’m 41 now. I needed to be quite far away from me to like it again at any degree lol. I couldn’t see how it could be done in a fresh innovative way. But this collection was a slay. Love the mix of YSL-esque with the feminine vibe of boho. It’s pretty quiet too for boho if you ask me, the patterns are not there as they once were. I love that about this collection. Yes a total middle ground. So comfy and soothing. ❤

      @MarysRoom  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I think there has been enough time from the peak 2010s boho and now. Various trends in fashion have come and gone, so it's refreshing and I'm personally feeling the boho vibes. Thank you so much for watching❤

      I am older still; in my fifties in the 2010s and loved boho from the 60s/70s onwards (although not sure we called it that at the time in UK, it was referred to by my friends as "gypsy look". I am not into status bags, or status anything (which is true boho philosophy) but have one Chloe bag and Nomade is my favourite perfume. I also wear mostly soft greens and nude/pale apricot shades, which suit me best and are, I think, very Chloe?

    Love this analysis of Chloe. I loved Chloe for their boho vibe in the past but have embraced minimalism. I can see some of these pieces being worn with minimal outfits today. I think Chloe has struggled over the years and lost focus. I see many clothing item and bags in the sales and I am not inspired to purchase them on sale or full price. I love my Marcie bag from many years ago but I do not reach for it. Chloe quickly discontinues many of their bag styles; so I find this aspect of the brand frustrating. It looks like Chloe may be on a path to regain that boho market and possibly cross over into other styles of dressing. Thank you for this insightful video on the brand.

    • @MarysRoom

      Yes I really commend this new direction for going back to its roots, in an authentic way. So true about the Chloe bag styles. They have gone through so many creative director changes recently, but I hope with this new era, there will be more stability in bag styles. Thank you so much for watching❤

    The thing about boho in general is that it never really goes away. As a very small fashion design house in my country, we keep on creating bohemian pieces from bags to clothing and accessories and they just go sold out because there's always a customer for them. So now, for my next collection, I'm designing tunic pieces and hobo bags that are very much boho inspired 😊

    This collection is to me very refreshing. Thanks for making this excellent video! There has been too much harshness in what we see and wear the past few years. Plus it is getting boring right now. I welcome the softness in it and the femininity. Even I am also a woman who doesn't dress very feminine, I would like to do more and give it a try when I see this collection.

    I definitely see the Parisian 70s boho style in Chloe's collection that you referenced. I also felt that Chloe as a brand, you don't really any other luxury brands that mastered this aesthetic without looking too tacky. I really enjoy this 70s Parisian boho look. I think there is an appetite but, as seen in the collection, there is a restraint that keeps it feeling modern and not at all 2000s boho.
    Brands like Sezane, Doen etc show there is a demand.
    That said all the gold hardware looked too Schiaparelli and a little cheap (at least in photos).
