- I do an update video to the Baba Yaga after around 3500 rounds and 8 months of ownership. I threw out the gun because the slide blew up and it had some other major problems that weren't worth the time or money to fix.
So i got the Tarterus mk II from KLI and it is a dream, i have shot easily 10000 round trough it, if something breaks write an email to the company and they send out parts (for money ofc), it just feels premium trough it beeing full metal and the power behind it feels just right. Also for after market support you can just buy part of other models from the company. I put the MK IV slide on my MK II and put a 5.1 Hammer on it because it looked cooler. Also i bought a extendet slide catch from Begadi, had to file it down but it works.

I've had nothing but issues with my 4.5mm Steel BB Baba Yaga since buying it 2 weeks ago. I've put about a thousand or so rounds through it and I'm getting wear on the slide stop and the notch of the slide where the slide stop sits when the slide is locked back on the last shot. The round metal ring at the end of the guide rod is basically chewed up and I also have a crack on the outer copper barrel. I think they use pot metal to manufacture these guns. I have numerous airguns made by Umarex and KWC and they are all still functioning flawlessly over the last 10 years. I spent over $200.00 canadian to buy this piece of crap. The only positives from the pistol is the aesthetics, feel, and weight. When the metal ring wore off your guide rod, did it impact the gun in any way? I noticed there's a rubber washer behind it and I'm worried that it might take a beating the more I shoot this thing. Did your rubber washer get chewed up?
I’ll be honest it’s been so long since I posted this I forgot. But yeah it had a ton of issues.

Yes, I clean and oil my guns when I get to the field every time I play.
mine has had issues since shipped. SRC is just a shitty company
Hey thanks for making a very legitimate, long term review. I doubt I will use my pistol as much as you have but it is GOOD to know. Is it normal for barrel finishes to rub off on a GBB? I've never had a GBB but I imagine this is a common for any pistol at all. This would impact my decision to find and buy a spare barrel to keep the finish fresh since this is mostly a display piece for me...
You're welcome. It is common on most gbbs, but I made a big deal about it on this specific pistol because the outer barrel is one of the stand out features. If you look at my glock review you will see wear there, but for example after shooting my tm hi capa like 1000+ time the outer barrel finish still hasn't shown major signs of wear. I'm not super sure if you can even find an extra outer barrel as I believe tm spec outer barrels are not compatible. But if you are using it as a display peice, it shouldn't be that bad, I put anywhere from 1500-3000 rounds through the pistol before it exploded, I didn't see much outer barrel wear until around 1000.

Yeah i have actually found some rare replacement barrels but they are about $30 or more and all coming from overseas where I think shipping will be bogus. But ill check out your other stuff cause I like your reviews

@@JGSnipes When I watched the video I couldn't help but wonder why you wouldn't just show the gun in its destroyed state. Would have been interesting! My only guess is you threw it in the trash already and didn't take a photo? I take so many photos I would have had a slideshow for the 10 minute video review... It would have been nice to see all the failure points.
@@KuyaPow626 Yes that is exactly what happened, I was both mad, and shocked in the moment it broke in these spots, didn't think about the youtube video, and instead just threw it out, because it wasn't worth fixing. I wouldn't shit on it just because I felt like it lol.
I’m thinking about getting this in green gas. Do you think that these are fixed now and it won’t have the problems you had?
I recommend the jag john wick if you want this gun, the jags are fully tm compatible, and I doubt they fixed the issues. I have heard many good things about jag hi capas in general. A few people run them at my local feild and said the only problem is the mags are shitty from factory.

@@Krabyn yes that is a good pistol, they are known to be very reliable, the only drawback is that it only has a 13 round mag

@@Krabyn yes the jag is fully tm compatible you should have no issues using a tm 50rnd mag
kinda scary considering I just bought one. Hopefully its like frambhueee said and maybe you just got a defective one or maybe they updated it and fixed the problems, but from the other videos I've seen this particular model has been getting high praise.
I hope so too as my initial good review is my highest viewed video and I don't want to mislead people, just wish more people could come see part 2 just to consider my experience before buying.

@@CaptainMan12345 that would be a good idea imo, theres a reason why everybody swears by tm, I have a review coming relatively soon on my gold match if you are interested, but if you really like the john wick hi capas I would recommend the jag version because its fully tm compatible, and most people ive talked to with the jag hi capas didn't have any problems

yes, I think so many people had them pre ordered so airsoft gi just sent them out without vigorously testing because they had already been delayed 3 months
@@JGSnipes yes, I think that so!. I have the hi capa 5.1 and the only weird thing is that the rear part of the slide when its new has a flush edge with the frame, But now the slide its a little half a milimeter forhead, Idk why, and idk if this is normal on 1911s or hi capas

Is the valken baba yaga a good option
I believe the valken is the same oem with the valken trades on it. My experience on this gun was bad but I have heard good things from other people, keep in mind mine was in the first batch to be manufactured.
Maybe the shitty airsoft 1 is but the steel bb 1 isn't at all, it's brilliant

They said that they were increasing the slide strength in the Baba Yaga. Maybe u got a one from a shitty batch
Possibly, however the pre ordered batch was delayed for 4 months "to fix any problems that came up in the first bad batches"
@@JGSnipes I shot mine today and it’s amazing, I was able to land a 200 foot shot in a range test which I measured. The QC must be terrible cuz mine is good and urs is terrible
@@southmoreconlin3757 Its good that you got a good one. Maybe they did fix a few issues, or maybe I got a bad one, but this was my experience, and I doubt other reviewers put as many rnds as me through it.
@@JGSnipes hi, I know that you may have throw away the baba yaga, but it is possible that the "second" batch that they send to you, was in fact a fisrt batch!, I mean, I have a hi capa from src/kli and after a year the only issue that I have was the hammer/sear assembly, it was shooting on burst, so I just buy a MST2011 full steel kit (this kit is for the gel blaster from aliexpress) ar first it wont fit, but after a few sanding here and there it works, now the gun it has a full steel hammer, sear, disconnector, valve knocker, knocker reset and the inner frame all made of steel and for just 50 bucks free shipping
@@Frambhueee nice, I have heard that the reliability got better, but I put out this review just in case mine wasn't a lemon and they all had that issue.

Hopefully it’s not too late to cancel your order. I altered the title description and comments on the first video to bring attention to the update as soon as I posted part 2. Keep in mind mine was in the first batch to ship to customers, could have had a lemon or issues solved since then. To increase longevity I recommend green gas instead of co2 because it’s lower pressure and will be easier on the gun.
@@JGSnipes so actually the one i got was a different brand though its by Valken so Maby its a better gun but they look the same cuz i didnt realise its a John Wick clone skin so idk ill see when it comes in if its bad ima trutun it and get the ssp18 by Novrich
@@sweetandsour6521 ssp18 is good. I believe the valken is just a rebrand of this, nothing should change between the 2

Bro I wish i saw this before I bought this piece of shit. just plinking - couldn't game it once with all the issues. Absolute horrible gun. Will never buy another SRC product ever.
