Andre Bertel teaching Karate classes in Germany

Here is another video of Andre Bertel teaching Asai-ha Shotokan-ryu Karate in Hamburg/Germany in April 2010. The footage is a compilation of 2 different training sessions. Andre sensei is not only an outstanding Karateka but also a very humorous and competent teacher. His mission is to keep the legacy of his late teacher Tetsuhiko Asai (10th Dan) alive.

You must not get out much, he is ok for sport Karate, outside of that not very impressive. Good athlete.

Im glad they teach karate in Germany I've been wanted to do karate since I'm moving to Germany. I've already have 8 years of experience as a boxer so I ought to be good

The horizontal chop at around 3:40. Why stop the flow of the chop and not carry it through? If he was winging an axe or sword, he wouldn’t stop it so suddenly.
