I don't trust lipo's either. On my trucks I'm switching back to 7 cell nimh flat packs. For the smaller size rigs found some mini 7 cell flat packs used in airsoft guns. Just ordered some. At one point I had 20 lipos and was just a matter of time before one went up in smoke and fire. Never has happened to me, but I've seen it.
Great video! It might be hesitating because the connector cant handle the increased power draw. I had to switch mine to xt60 when I started using brushless.
Nice! May need a BEC as that servo is eating lots of energy to move large tires. Aluminum C-hubs a must with a monster truck. Also the wider wheel and tire combo helps a lot with the rollovers.
I'd say your cutting out is the battery and connector. Castle themselves say not to use that connector because it can't handle the current draw, even on nickel batteries, of this system, and they heavily discourage the use of nickel batteries at all. Gonna pop a 5700kv SV3 combo just like this in a CA-10 here soon. Can't wait.
Yah, I'm prolly gonna go Deans as well. I plan on running a pair of 2s 5000mAh Gens Ace lipos in parallel on the CA-10 and the harness I found on A-Main is deans. The batteries are Deans, though their harness is removable and connects to the packs by 4mm bullet.
I have thought about going brushless in my HPI WheelyKing... but it torque twists bad enough with a 35T crawler motor in it. Brushless would likely just flip it over on launch lol. Pretty solid vid as always.
You need to get some JR concepts tires but then you have to upgrade the axles looks great. The scale monster trucks will get me back in to RC love the channel
I was trying to keep a brushed motor and went with a HH 21t 550 I was thinking with cold sized tires would be close to a nice scale speed, but looks like I’m gunna have to regear or go to a lower turn motor.
Cool upgrade you can do a lot with the esc you can change a bunch of things with a castle link throdle braking lipo shut off points a lot you can do with the link
Get rid of those Tamiya connectors. They can't provide the current required for that brushless system. Really not that hard to change them over to XT90's etc. Oh and lipo. You'll love it and never go back.
Axial are the RC that looks cool but are actually junk that break dam near every time u run em especially if u start upgrading the electronics. I've had nothing but bad luck with em they should come with a warning saying NIMH only. Sucks to spend that type of money on em and have to put twice that much in em to make it remotely reliable. unless just drive on flat ground and grass I'd pass.
I have never broken my scx10 that's got alot of upgrades besides snapping an aftermarket motor wire that was cheap while I was working on cleaning the truck. If you take care of you're stuff it'll last longer it's just common sense
totally digging your scale channel, love the scale garage.

Great vid, definitely a big fan of axial and the scx10 monster truck platform. Looks like it's running pretty nicely on that castle system.
Looks nice and fast now, good job. 👍
Oh yea. Looks like it has plenty of juice now. Looks awesome. I'd love to see a lipo lol
That is a awesome truck preformed so well nice video

That makes sense. I’m just going to have to break down and go to deans plugs on everything

cool video! nice truck thumbs up :)
Bad azz truck btw. I want to build one.
Probably need to connect to the computer to program the ESC. Possibly need to add a BEC. Lots of fun! Thanks
Matthew Romero you don't need a bec unless your running a bunch of lights and other things draining power and the ecs all ready has a bec
Cool upgrade you can do a lot with the esc you can change a bunch of things with a castle link throdle braking lipo shut off points a lot you can do with the link
Awesome Man!
Double the springs in the back or get stiffer ones youll thank me?
I was going to ask if it was sensorless, and if it coggged? Looked like fun regardless. Thumbs up.
😄😄😄 yeah I like it. “POWER” 👍🏻👍🏻
Love this truck. What links are you running? I’m getting a scx10 kit soon and would like to build a monster truck out of it. Thanks for the help.
I picked up so no name aluminum links off eBay. I believe they were stock lengths.
do you still have the guggernat chassis would you trade it for a mint tamiya highlifter
I sold it a while ago sorry.
@@RCeveryday Dang I need a set of 1/8 scale axles for a truck I built need a wider stance
Awesome! Truck looks like fun!Your already thinking brushless farmtruck or ol #2 arent ya?....lol
The #2 has a brushless system in it. Lol. Just a 14:1 transmission. It’s in line for an upgrade though.
Is that the stock steering servo?
TORQUE TWISTS ARE THE BEST....LOL
I love ur videos man.....keep up the great work....i also watch u in school...lol.....😂😂
Where do you get your music from? It's killer.
I just use what I like from the RUclips music library. Stuff I can use for free, lol. Some of it is pretty good.
Dam my friend that looked grate and it will not cut out if you ran a lipo, Why do you not like Lipos?
I just don’t trust them. As little as I actually drive I’d worry about storing them. I get more than enough run time with my stick packs.
That's cool. What tires and wheels are those?
They are the stock tires and wheels off the axial grave digger trucks. Got them cheap on ebay.
My 2wd stampede....as shown on my channel....flips alot too...lol
my slash 4x4 ultimate has this motor and it killed a aluminium spur
Once you go Bushless, you'll never go back!
Hit Like And Support Before I Even Watch...Enjoy That Power Homie 🤙🏾💨💨💨
I’m about to do something about the power on the #2 build. That brushless unit you sent me is fast. It’s just the transmission I used. Lol
👍👍👍📹📹

Yeah lipos will open up a hole new world for you, you can find tiny batteries that should be much easier to fit into your custom builds
Feels like 1985 and we spent 2 weeks building a bruiser to be heartbroken at how cruddy the battery was.
Should do a fwd Honda or anything type of fwd rc
Make it a mud truck....just don’t go in the mud with it lol

Don't upgrade them then shithead, I have a scx10 on 3s mamba x and it has never broke and I run it like hell
