Be careful not to breath in the powder. I'd wear a mask while opening the grinder and transferring. The dust will never get out of your lungs and can cause a lot of issues. People who dremel eggs for art usually wear a respirator.
Good point!
Thanks!
Cocaine
While wearing a mask is always recommended while working with dusty materials, it is incorrect to say common dust never leaves your lungs. Your lungs have more than one system to clean themselves out and prevent particulate from entering. The issue is dependent on the type of dust and how much or often it's inhaled, which can lead to permanent scarring of the lungs. There are rare materials such as silica dust that'll permanently be stuck in your lungs.
@santaclaus2115 thanks for your input
I love how you say the appropriate medical professional! Most MDs don't know anything about nutrition
You got that right!
You also can add this great source of calcium to your plants and crops. 👍
Absolutely!
I skip the boiling and baking. Just rinse them really well. And i use a mortar and pesel to turn them to a powder
Thanks for the input!
Thanks for your input!
I was thinking the same thing. Just rinse them, then add then to the oven. The 250 degrees for 20min will sterilize them. Boiling only goes to 212 degrees, the oven is going to 250.
Exactly
I boil mine but for the water, it's easier to water instead of grinding and sprinkling
If you’re vegetarian, The attached membrane has so many health benefits like 10% of the membrane is collagen and other proteins that benefits the joints.
Thanks for sharing!
It’s funny seeing vegetarian being mentioned because this was recommended next to a carnivore diet video. 😂
@@matthewread9001 vegetarians eat eggs too, only vegans wouldn't. Thinking better, even a vegan would be allowed (by their own moral) to eat the eggshell, provided that said shell had its chicken born naturally aand is only a remaint.
@@AmaraticandoFair point!
Very nice yes and need strain not in plastic containeas PFA or PFOA or BPA or BPS may discharge more onto shells as heat causes more to discharge.
Thank you doing this today
This would help as well with it breaking down faster for composting
After I eat scrambled eggs, I just throw the egg shells straight in the blender with my bone broth protein shake.
Chunky 😂 nothin wrong with that
That works, too! 😆
I would never contact any " health " anybody!!
Your choice.
It's CaCO3
Use only farm fresh
Add to fish tank, great to breed shrimp..
Interesting!
That last line almost made me fall out of my chair!
Well, I'm glad you didn't 🤪
Why? Did you snort too much?
It's just an outstanding job madam, you are a genius, they are very good source of calcium for plants. Thank you for the information.
Thank you!
No reason to boil them. Just rinse when they are first used. Dry and store broken shells until ready to use. Them bake and grind up. Simple as that❤
Thanks!
Thanks🎉
Homemade Chalk 😂
Gritty Chalk! 🤣
Man this is how ik we’re going into another Great Depression era
I like eating boiled egg shells
Can you tell me what’s the brand name of the coffee grinder?
Hamilton Beach with a retractable cord. Thanks!
This was like asking what to do with tomatoes, and having someone tell you to "pick them, then ask someone what to do"
Ok.
Can we mixed with water n drink it
Yes, but it won't dissolve, so it will taste gritty.
Woah I didn’t know we can eat shell Ty I ate 1 shell I thought i was gonna die😂
I've been eating them for a year& and I'm still alive! 😆
I snort eggshell powder through a straw
How long are eggshells good if they are not refrigerated being you boil them?
I don't know.
15 minutes boiling?
25 minutes at the oven?
That will be an expensive egg shell powder 😐
I do a large batch which will last me several months & it's WAY cheaper than the calcium supplements I was taking. Google it, but I am guessing 15 minutes on the stove top is under 50 cents. Probably not as costly as you think with energy efficient appliances these days.
You can also let it air dry outside. Another recipe called for 175 degrees in the overn for 2 hours.
@@momteacherlessons7296 thank you!
I did it before and didn’t know people go through this entire process
I just put the shells back in the carton and let it dry out in while in the fridge
When the entire carton eggs are used I blend in NutriBullet and store in jar and have Been adding it to my dogs food or smoothies. ❤
@@selaphim9941 the boiling is to kill off potentially harmful bacteria.
$10 to process a very minimal amount
A medical professional will tell me not to eat them 🙄
Mine said it's fine, or I wouldn't have published this. But listen to your medical professional, of course!
Can you use brown eggs shells?
Yes!
Also, what if you get tiny bit of the egg's collagen encasement or even tiny bit of egg white (I'm using shells from my hard boiled eggs)? Will boiling and oven make this ok to consume then? Maybe keep product in fridge?
The boiling & baking should take care of that. I keep my big batch in the freezer & take out enough for about a month, & I keep that in the fridge.
@@MobilePawSpa thanks!
I eat quail eggs. Are those fine to use?
I don't know! Great question!
Can you also do it with brown eggshell?
Absolutely!
Mix this with some bones and you’re good
I’ve heard that you can make actual egg shell water to that the water itself the boiling water or I’ve also seen where boiling water is poured over the eggs, and then that water is used and recipes are just to drink, and that the water itself has lots of calcium. Do you think this is the case? I have to say when I started eating egg shell powder shortly afterwards, my
appendix burst who knows if it was related, but just wanted to put it out there it’s possible that some of it lodged in the tiny opening to the appendix.
iPad appendix?
@@MobilePawSpa thanks! I edited it..ues my appendix burst
Grandma toasted them and fed them to the chickens.
Great idea!
What the fuck
💚💚
Can I just eat them after making boiled eggs?
Sure! Just keep in mind the body can only process about 500 MG of calcium at one time. You don't want to over-do it.
Just chew them up with your hard boiled eggs
Are burnt eggshells okay to use?
I have no idea 🤔
Can I just dry it on sun?
I suppose that could work! Let us know if you try it!
dry them when sun is high above in the sky and make a solar heater point it direct to the egg shell container. This will kill all germs.
@@albert8360 thank you!
Mmm looks like cola
eat it and suffer from calcium stone
Check with your Dr. if you have any concerns. I did, before I published this.
🤬🤬
No
They keep the ants out of the garden.... . I like to save them Freeze them till you're ready and Then I Boil them, let them dry off. In the oven. Grind them up and throw them in my shake. God damn it And when you grind them make sure you're using glass don't use plastic
Thanks!
@@MobilePawSpa no thank you for a great review 👍
@@francesco0508 👍😊
I came on You tube searching for that exact question...My coffee grinder is make of plastic and also with plastic lid. I'm trying to make calcium powder to consume internally...Supplements have additatives...I think the eggshells scraped the plastic of my coffee grinder and wondering if micro bits of that plastic then comes off into the powder to be consumed. :( Sounds like you think so too? Is that what you are saying? I searched for a grinder made with stainless steel and glass lid today and cannot find one. Do you have one? What brand? Now I'm thinking to use pestel and mortar?
@wendyb1356 Exactly what I'm saying. Get yourself a Blender made of glass. You don't want to be consuming that Micro plastic. We don't know what it will do to us. Or how long it even takes to digest. There's also studies on plastic Utensils and plastic wear. And scientists are trying to figure What the side effects are and what they will do to us in the long run. 🤔 So for me. I'll just use the glass. Health should always come first. It's not a show stopper at least I know. No plastic being scraped in my powder. Better safe than sorry right . I don't want to be some science project. While scientists are still trying to figure this out.. And as far as the grinders you can check online. There's plenty Amazon, or whichever app is your favorite? There's still around. I actually was at canadian tire the other day and they had a huge selection But I'm not sure, are you from Canada? Or maybe you can buy them online Good luck
