      Cipta Pradja I don't think so, considering they were about to throw the one knight (I think his name was Ser Royce) through the moon door just because Petyr/Robin wanted him dead. They were never loyal to the Starks because they never had an actual Stark run their kingdom - Jon was an Arryn and Lysa was a Tully

    • @TheMurrmursonbottle
      @TheMurrmursonbottle 6 лет назад +8

      she tried to warn him as best as she could without flat out saying that she was conspiring with little finger - she desperately told Jon to wait for more forces but it was too late, and he disregarded her comments.

    • @aakashdas1742
      @aakashdas1742 6 лет назад +8

      Jon said any more delay and they would have got stuck due to snow. Sansa didn't trust Jon with the knowledge of Vale's army closing in, and also WHEN they would actually arrive. Without that knowledge, it WASN'T sensible for Jon NOT to attack, because he felt any delay would jeopardise the chance to rescue Rickon. And as someone who cared as a big brother alongside Robb, for all the little stark children, he loved them too much to just give up on them.

    • @flaminmongrel6955
      @flaminmongrel6955 3 года назад +1

      Both and more not all armies were able to or wanted to use horses that were armed since it bothers the horse (obviously depending on how much you arm it).

    • @rafaelbalsan4512
      @rafaelbalsan4512 2 года назад +2

      Horse armor did exist but it was very expensive (it takes a lot of material to cover a whole horse) so it was not widely used. Most of the time the most armor a horse would get is a piece of metal or leather headgear called a chanfron, which doubled as a blind to help make the horse less afraid. For the body, they mostly wore nothing, or a large tunic called a caparison.

      Dylan Lowers Nah this episode was awesome. you're just an idiot, simple as that. 🙂

    • @dylanlowers9546
      @dylanlowers9546 7 лет назад +13

      jose perez the cinematography was awesome, it had beautiful shots and amazing camera work, but to me it felt dead, the battle was too forced, Rickon's death was stupid and just a way to tie up a loose end and a story they didn't know how to do better. The Vale knights were predictable, and it didn't make sense how sansa didn't inform Jon about them when they could have been the residing factor. The wall of dead bodies was not realistic and very convenient for the Boltons. The start of the ep with Dany was rushed and disappointing, so mpuch potential in two good battles, maybe not putting both in the same episode, or cutting out useless CGI and using practicle effects. I think other then that it was great.

    • @eamonhyatt
      @eamonhyatt 7 лет назад +3

      The wall of dead bodies is generally how a medieval battle goes. Two armies clash, and everyone who dies falls to the ground, causing rapidly growing mounds of corpses; also, the idea is that it's 100% convenient for the Bolton's army. It was part of their strategy the whole time. The bodies pile up, making escape difficult, and the shield wall surrounds them from one side, forcing the wildlings to climb the bodies, when the rest of the army is waiting. The start of the episode with Daenarys was meant to be somewhat rushed, because it's the episode where she finally leaves Mereen for the Seven Kingdoms. She has everything; armies, dragons, ships, advisers. Cutting out useless CGI would have meant maybe not having the dragons, and that would have partially ruined the tone of the latter half of the episode.

    • @dylanlowers9546
      @dylanlowers9546 7 лет назад +3

      A wall of dead bodies like the one in the show would have appeared in battles involving gunpowder and firearms, specifically the American Civil War. Medieval battles may have had small piles of bodies after the battle due to the soldiers piling them up to then burn or ,more commonly, bury them. So the wall of dead is outlandish and unrealistic, and to predict that such a wall would form, and that it would impede Jon's host is a huge gamble with the slimmest of odds.
      The show writers simple wanted to show their star girl doing badass stuff, but missed an amazing opportunity for a good, and complex battle, even better then the battle of the bastards. They should have left the battle of meereen till the next season so that the first ep of season 7 would show a battle with high odds and leave you thinking who's going to die, Tyrion? Greyworm? A multitude of characters to choose from, they could have even shown the iron born attacking the Coalition's fleet from behind at a pivotal moment in the battle and that would give Dany an even better reason to trust them as they had helped in defeating her enemies.

    • @eamonhyatt
      @eamonhyatt 7 лет назад +1

      Right, but close quarters combat is much more likely to produce sizable mounds of bodies, because it's a giant, stretched-out moshpit of people killing each other, as opposed to soldiers shooting at each other across a field, which would produce the opposite, because the soldiers are much more likely to be spread out, in several long lines, or just use straight guerilla tactics. However, the siege of Mereen wasn't expected to last particularly long, considering it's Queen had a trio of dragons. I like the idea of saving Daenarys' journey to Westeros until season 7, because they would have a chance to flesh out a battle at sea, which we haven't seen yet, and it would give the writers and showrunners a chance to maybe extend the Battle of the Bastards/make it more interesting.
