It's even better because it's towards the end of season 1, the season that's all about Holt's introduction and his clash with Jake. Him pranking Jake in this way shows he's getting on his level and integrating into the team.

I love that last one. Especially after the opening credits where he's on the phone with Kevin and says "they moved it a full half inch. I'll tell you the entire story tonight." As if that wasn't already the whole story.

I doubt anything will ever beat the ‘I want it that way’ cold open. Every second of it, including all 5 perps and the woman identifying the perp were perfectly cast and Jake’s expressions were just amazing. Apart from that, the Hoola hooping one, the full bullpen, and the high 5 one are also memorable off the top of my head. The cold opens are a B99 speciality.

The Backstreet Boys cold open is, hands down, my favourite ever. Got three of my friends into the show with this one. Bullpen Bottle Bowling is strong second place, though. I just love the idea of starting every word in the open with the letter "B" :D
It also shows that he has became less strict and more open to the crew. He is always more fond of Jake than anybody but he doesn't make it too obvious.
