Honestly, Lily and Mata both seem to have the same issue of not realizing that, women finding other women attractive, even a little, is literally the definition of being gay. There's nothing wrong with being a little but gay, and there's nothing wrong with just saying, "Sure, but I'm never gonna act on it." Because beyond physically they're not really all that interested. But they're still a little gay.
You are gay or you are not gay. You can appreciate the appeal of the same sex without wanting to act upon it, you are correct, but that doesn’t mean that they have a “little bit of gayness” in them.
She finds them attractive because she values attractiveness and beauty, which is a no brainer when you’re looking at her model design. This is not the same as wanting to shag the same sex though.
I can appreciate the handsomeness of men and can go “Shit, this guy is hot!” But that does not mean I want to bang the dude. I care about physical self image and how I want to look like to others, and so I’m able to praise the other men who are working towards the similar goals I have for myself. That is what I am seeing with Lily here.
Well, you could define it that way, but I wouldn't say it's useful in most contexts. Aesthetically finding people beautiful isn't inherently sexual. Things like the Kinsey scale (a little outdated in concept but good data regardless) use phrasing like "desire for sexual experiences with" which what she's describing doesn't really reach, and that's more like what most people mean by their sexuality in my experience
Of course, I believe in people defining their orientation for themselves, at the end of the day

@@dreadtroopeer8884 There is a distinct difference between appreciating someone's beauty, and actively frothing at the mouth cause you find a character pretty, or attractive. Which I have personally seen Lily do. Mata's much more subdued about it, but she definitely done it as well.
Like I said, there's nothing wrong with saying that your straight, even if you find some women attractive. Sexual and romantic attraction are categorized differently for a reason, after all. The only reason I find it kind of annoying, is just how aggressively adamant, for lack of a better phrase at the moment, they are about it sometimes, when they not only simp over female characters, but also their friends, as well.
And, again, Mata is much more subdued about it than Lily, but they both do, do that.

If I ever decide to come out as asexual, it will be because I gave up trying to understand sexuality.
Sexuality isn't something reasonable, it kind of just is. So if you're seeing other people drooling over others and can't really relate to that feeling because you've never experienced it, then you might well be ace, or at least somewhere on that part of the sexuality spectrum.
